Hummel isn't starting Monday against the Dodgers.

Even though Seth Beer was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Sunday, Hummel will be out of the lineup for the fourth time in the last seven games. Daulton Varsho will serve as the designated hitter while Jose Herrera starts behind the dish.

Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 4-1 win over Oakland.

Ohtani got the Angels off to a positive start in the contest, slugging a 425-foot two-run shot in the first inning. It was the second homer in as many games for the two-way star and pushed his total to eight long balls on the season. Ohtani is tied for eighth in the league with 26 RBI on the campaign.

Solak is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.

Solak is on the bench against a right-handed starting pitcher (Noah Syndergaard) for the second day in a row and looks to have lost hold of his everyday role to Eli White, who remains in the lineup Monday as Texas' leadoff man. Since the beginning of May, Solak has appeared in 10 games and has slashed an underwhelming .214/.267/.250, though he's at least chipped in three stolen bases.

Ramirez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Tigers, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Ramirez should see his opportunities in the outfield increase while Manuel Margot (hamstring) is on the injured list, though the lefty-hitting Brett Phillips could end up seeing the larger share of the playing time in right field if the Rays opt for a platoon of him and Ramirez. With right-hander Alex Faedo on the hill for Detroit in the series opener, the righty-hitting Ramirez hits the bench, ending a streak of three consecutive starts.

Pederson went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 15-6 loss to the Cardinals.

Pederson went yard for the first time since April 25. Since that date, he's hit a pitiful .086 (3-for-35) in 13 games. That brutal slump has essentially erased his hot start -- he's slashing .244/.297/.524 with seven homers, 14 RBI, 13 runs scored and a stolen base through 91 plate appearances. Pederson's lost playing time to Luis Gonzalez, who has taken over the starting role in left field. Going forward, Pederson will likely be the designated hitter against right-handed pitchers, splitting that position with Wilmer Flores and Darin Ruf.

Soler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Brewers.

The 30-year-old slugger took Brandon Woodruff deep in the third inning, giving him homers in back-to-backs games and extending his current hit streak to six games. Despite the recent success, Soler's still had a sluggish start to the year, slashing .188/.283/.391 with seven home runs, 12 runs and 16 RBI through 34 contests.

Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Padres.

The 31-year-old slugger hadn't swiped a base since August 2019 coming into the season, but Ozuna suddenly has two steals in the last five games. It's otherwise been a brutal May for him, as he's gone 6-for-50 (.120) through 13 contests with one homer, four RBI and five runs.

Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a homer, two runs, two RBI and a strikeout in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Orioles.

Cabrera put the Tigers on the board with a solo home run in the bottom of the second inning Sunday as he continued his recent tear at the plate. The 39-year-old has put up multi-hit performances in four of the last five games, and he's posted four extra-base hits during that time. Cabrera is hitting .297 with three homers, 14 RBI and 11 runs to begin the season.

Beer was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Sunday.

Beer has a .210/.301/.284 slash line this season and is 2-for-42 over his past 14 games, resulting in his demotion. The 25-year-old could rejoin the big-league club later in the year, but for now he'll attempt to right the ship with Reno. Sean Poppen (shoulder) was activated from the 10-day IL in a corresponding move.

Harper (elbow) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The 29-year-old was scheduled to receive a PRP injection to alleviate the pain in his right elbow Sunday, so it's no surprise he's being held out of the lineup for the series finale in Los Angeles. Harper has been limited to serving as the designated hitter while playing through a small tear in his UCL for the past month, and he's not expected to resume playing the field until at least mid-June. The injury hasn't had any effect on his ability to hit, and he's currently riding a six-game hit streak during which he's gone 14-for-23 with three home runs, six doubles, eight RBI, eight runs and three stolen bases. Alec Bohm will serve as the designated hitter Sunday with Johan Camargo starting at the hot corner.
