Alvarez (wrist) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

It will be the fourth straight absence for the 23-year-old since being scratched with soreness in his right wrist Wednesday. Manager Dusty Baker previously indicated he hopes Alvarez can rejoin the lineup early in the week, but he could be headed to the injured list if he doesn't progress as expected over the next couple days.

Martinez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins after fouling a ball off his left foot during Saturday's contest, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

The veteran slugger went 2-for-4 with two doubles Saturday and never exited the contest, but he'll receive the day off Sunday while receiving treatment for his foot. It doesn't appear to be a serious injury, so perhaps Martinez will be ready to go for Monday's series opener at Houston.

Martinez started the past four contests and will take a seat Sunday after going 5-for-15 with three doubles, two RBI and a run during that stretch. Marwin Gonzalez, Danny Santana and Hunter Renfroe will start from left to right in the outfield while Alex Verdugo serves as the designated hitter in the series finale.

Ozuna (fingers) was arrested on charges of aggravated assault strangulation and misdemeanor battery/family violence Saturday in Georgia, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

The league office is expected to open an investigation following the arrest, which could result in a suspension under MLB's domestic violence policy. Ozuna is already sidelined for at least the next six weeks after fracturing the ring and middle fingers on his left hand Tuesday.

Ohtani went 2-for-5 with a run scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-0 win over the A's.

The Angels did all their scoring in the top of the fifth inning, with Ohtani's two-run single being the biggest blow. The 26-year-old is hitting .269 on the season with a .940 OPS, along with 15 homers, seven steals, 35 runs and 40 RBI.

Dickerson isn't starting Saturday's game against the Dodgers, Mark W. Sanchez of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

Dickerson had started each of the last four games but will retreat to the bench with left-hander Julio Urias starting for the Dodgers on Saturday. Austin Slater will start in left field and lead off.

Soler left Saturday's game against the Twins in the second inning with right groin discomfort, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.

Soler went 0-for-1 in his lone at-bat Saturday, and he was replaced in right field in the bottom of the seventh inning. The severity of his injury isn't yet clear.

Stanton will sit Saturday against the Tigers.

The Yankees won't ask Stanton to play twice in a row immediately after returning from a quadriceps strain. He wasn't exactly convincing in his first game back in action, going 0-for-5 with four strikeouts. Aaron Judge will rest his legs as the designated hitter in his absence.

Dickerson went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 8-5 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

In the sixth inning, the outfielder hit into a fielder's choice to get aboard. He then stole second base, his first steal in 42 games this year. Dickerson is slashing a meager .217/.274/.365 with four home runs, 18 RBI and 14 runs scored across 124 plate appearances. With both Dickerson and Mike Tauchman being left-handed batters, they may share time in left field until one of them goes on a tear.

Manager Dusty Baker said that there was "consideration" toward putting Alvarez on the injured list, but the 23-year-old has made progress recently and will hit ahead of Saturday's game, Rome reports. Baker said that he's hopeful Alvarez can return early next week, which suggests that he could be held out for Sunday's series finale against the Padres.
