Dany Jimenez RP | ATL
Athletics' Dany Jimenez: Makes second rehab appearance
Jimenez (shoulder) allowed an earned run on three hits and a walk over 1.1 innings in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Salt Lake on Sunday. He struck out one.
Jimenez took the hill for his second rehab appearance and worked up to 30 pitches, nearly doubling his volume from his 16-pitch outing Thursday. As in that appearance, Jimenez surrendered an earned run, but the fact he was able to up his workload with just two days' rest is encouraging. The right-hander likely still has plenty of rust to knock off due to his long layoff, so he appears slated for additional appearances with the Aviators in coming days.

Chad Smith RP | NYM
Athletics' Chad Smith: Takes second loss Sunday
Smith (1-2) took the loss against the Astros on Sunday, allowing an earned run on a solo home run over 1.2 innings. He also issued a walk and hit a batter.
Smith paid for his one mistake, a slider that Mauricio Dubon blasted 404 feet to left center for a go-ahead homer in the ninth. Smith has now allowed at least one earned run in five straight appearances, another rough patch in a season that's seen him pitch to a 6.59 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 1.3 HR/9 while also posting an unsightly 1.29 K/BB across 13.2 innings.

Brandon Walter RP | HOU
Red Sox's Brandon Walter: Demoted to Triple-A
The Red Sox optioned Walter to Triple-A Worcester on Monday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
After being called up from Worcester on July 4, Walter worked exclusively as a reliever for Boston, covering eight innings over five appearances while allowing three runs (two earned) on 11 hits and one walk. He'll likely get stretched back out and transition into a starting role as he returns to Worcester.

Michael Baumann RP | NYM
Orioles' Mike Baumann: Earns win Sunday
Baumann (7-0) walked two and struck out two without allowing a hit over 2.2 scoreless innings to earn the win over the Rays on Sunday.
Baumann has allowed just one unearned run over his last 11.2 innings, collecting three wins, a hold and a blown save in 10 appearances in that span. He's also posted a 12:9 K:BB in that stretch, but the elevated walk rate has yet to come back to haunt him. He's at a 3.49 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 52:28 K:BB through 49 innings this season, emerging as a reliable multi-inning option for manager Brandon Hyde.

Tim Herrin RP | CLE
Guardians' Tim Herrin: Takes loss Sunday
Herrin (1-1) allowed three runs (two earned) on a hit and a walk while striking out two over one-plus innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Phillies.
Herrin kept the game close in the ninth inning, but after the Guardians tied it, he struggled when he came out for the 10th. Trevor Stephan couldn't contain the Phillies' rally either, and Herrin ended up with his first loss of the campaign. Herrin is now at a 5.55 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 28:11 K:BB with a hold and a blown save through 24.1 innings this season. The Guardians used a bullpen game Sunday, which likely explains why the southpaw was pitching in the late innings when he typically works much earlier in games.

Zach Logue RP | LAD
Tigers' Zach Logue: Rejoins big club
The Tigers recalled Logue from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.
Logue will join Detroit's 26-man active roster as a replacement for right-hander Alex Faedo, who was sent back to Toledo following a spot start in Sunday's win over the Padres. During his upcoming stint with the Tigers, Logue is expected to serve as a multi-inning relief option, with most of his usage likely to come in lower-leverage scenarios.

Brendan White RP | SEA
Tigers' Brendan White: Back with big club
The Tigers recalled White from Triple-A Toledo on Monday.
Though he was optioned to Toledo on Sunday, White is eligible to rejoin the Tigers just one day later since fellow reliever Mason Englert (hip) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. In 16 outings with the Tigers this season, spanning 20 innings, White has accrued a 4.95 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB. He'll likely serve as a middle-relief option while he's up with Detroit.

Mason Englert RP | TB
Tigers' Mason Englert: Sidelined with tight hip
The Tigers placed Englert on the 15-day injured list Monday with left hip tightness.
Englert's move to the IL comes two days after he was lit up for nine earned runs on 10 hits and one walk over 2.1 innings of long relief in Saturday's 14-3 loss to the Padres. Prior to the disastrous outing, Englert had been a serviceable middle-relief option for the Tigers, accruing a 4.19 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 40:16 K:BB in 53.2 innings. A timeline for Englert's return from the injury hasn't been established, but he'll be eligible for activation beginning Aug. 7.

Felix Bautista RP | BAL
Orioles' Felix Bautista: Converts 28th save
Bautista pitched a scoreless ninth while allowing two hits and striking out the side to pick up another save Sunday against the Rays.
Bautista worked his way through some trouble after allowing two base hits to bring the winning run to the plate but was able to strike out Wander Franco to end the game. Bautista sits atop the American League with 28 saves and is just two behind league leader Camilo Doval. He's been as dominant as they come and now holds a sparkling 0.92 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 96:19 K:BB in 49 innings.
