Mayers is expected to serve as the primary pitcher behind opener Josh Staumont during Monday's series opener in St. Louis, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Mayers drew his first start of the year Tuesday against Detroit, allowing a run on six hits and one walk while striking out eight in 4.2 innings. While he tossed 84 pitches during Tuesday's start and should handle a sizable workload Monday, he's slated to work behind Staumont.

Staumont will serve as the opener during Monday's series opener in St. Louis, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Staumont struggled in Friday's appearance against the Nationals, allowing four runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one in one inning. He's served exclusively as a reliever in the majors but will begin Monday's game on the mound, while Mike Mayers expects to serve as the primary pitcher.

Lange (3-0) pitched a scoreless inning of relief to earn the win in Sunday's 10-inning contest against the White Sox. He struck out two.

Lange pitched the top of the 10th inning in a 5-5 tie and made quick work of Chicago on 12 pitches. He then earned the win when the Tigers plated one in the bottom half of the inning. Lange has been excellent this season, as he's now sitting on a 1.21 ERA and has struck out 30 batters in just 22.1 innings. The righty also leads the team with nine saves. If Detroit can continue to hover around .500, Lange should see plenty of opportunities moving forward.

Pagan was removed from Sunday's game against the Blue Jays after suffering an apparent right arm injury, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

After Pagan hit Matt Chapman with a pitch, Twins trainer Masa Abe visited the right-hander on the mound. After consulting with the trainer, Pagan headed to the dugout and appeared to be favoring his right arm while walking off the field. Chapman was the only batter Pagan faced during the seven-pitch relief appearance.

Fairbanks said after Sunday's 11-10 win over the Dodgers that his hip "locked up" on him while he was warming up prior to the ninth inning, Kristie Ackert of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

He appeared set to receive the save chance Sunday, but after the hip issue surfaced, the Rays opted to stick with Jason Adam, who recorded the final six outs of the afternoon en route to converting his seventh save of the campaign. Fairbanks noted that he's receiving treatment on the hip and was unsure if he would require a stint on the 15-day injured list, but more clarity on that front could arrive shortly before the Rays open their three-game series with the Cubs in Chicago on Monday.

Adam picked up the save in Sunday's 11-10 win over the Dodgers, allowing one walk while striking out two over two scoreless innings.

Pete Fairbanks was slated to come in for the ninth after Adam pitched the eighth. However, Fairbanks suffered an injury while warming up, leaving it up to Adam to finish the game. It was an impressive performance from the 31-year-old Adam. He'd been struggling of late, pitching to a 13.50 ERA over his last five appearances (3.1 innings). For the season, Adam now sports a 3.22 ERA with a 1.12 WHIP and 30:8 K:BB across 22.1 innings while going 7-for-10 in save chances. If Fairbanks is forced to miss time, Adam would likely step back into the primary closing role for Tampa Bay.

Fleming did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing 10 runs (eight earned) on 12 hits and two walks over six innings against the Dodgers. He struck out three.

The home run ball was Fleming's downfall against the Dodgers -- five out of the 12 hits he surrendered left the yard. The 27-year-old southpaw had been pitching well coming into Sunday's matchup, allowing just three earned runs over 15 innings in his last three starts. Fleming's ERA is up to 4.62 with a 1.44 WHIP and 24:19 K:BB across 48.2 innings this season. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, tentatively scheduled for next week against the Red Sox in Fenway Park.

After Jason Adam kept the Dodgers off the board in the eighth inning, Fairbanks appeared poised to get the save chance in the ninth. However, once the top of the ninth arrived, it was Adam who stayed in the contest for a second inning, while Fairbanks remained in the bullpen and was spotted with a trainer. The Rays may not provide another update on Fairbanks' status until prior to Monday's series opener in Chicago, but the lack of usage Sunday is certainly a worrisome sign for a pitcher who has struggled to maintain health this season. If Fairbanks requires another trip to the IL, Adam would likely be the Rays' preferred option for save situations.

The Angels transferred Warren (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Warren likely won't be ready to rejoin the Los Angeles bullpen until at least the middle of the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery earlier this month, so his move to the 60-day IL doesn't affect his timeline. Instead, the procedural move opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for right-handed relief prospect Ben Joyce, who was called up from Double-A Rocket City on Sunday.

The Angels placed Moore on the 15-day injured list Sunday with a right oblique strain.

Moore suffered the injury while throwing prior to Friday's 6-2 win over the Marlins. According to Sam Blum of The Athletic, Angels manager Phil Nevin said Moore is dealing with a Grade 2 strain and is without a timeline for a return, though the expectation is that the southpaw will miss more than the minimum 15 days. The Angels called up right-hander Ben Joyce from Double-A Rocket City on Sunday to take Moore's spot in the bullpen.
