Cordero (1-1) was tagged with the loss against Tampa Bay on Friday as a result of giving up one run on one hit and one walk over one-third of an inning.

The Yankees battled to tie the game with a four-run sixth inning, but Cordero gave the lead back in the bottom of the seventh. He issued a leadoff walk to Jose Siri and then a one-out run-scoring double to Wander Franco before being pulled from the contest. Cordero had been pitching well coming into Friday, allowing just three earned runs over 11.1 frames while posting a 13:1 K:BB over his first 11 games of the campaign.

Duran picked up the save in Friday's 2-0 win over the Guardians, tossing a scoreless ninth in which he allowed one walk and zero hits while striking out two.

Duran continues to struggle with walks (seven over his past five outings), but he hasn't blown a save since April 11. The closer is 7-for-8 in save opportunities on the year and currently sports a 2.13 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 16:9 K:BB through 12.2 innings.

Adam picked up the save during Friday's 5-4 win over the Yankees, tossing a scoreless ninth in which he allowed one hit and zero walks while striking out one.

With Pete Fairbanks (forearm) on the 15-injured list, Adam has drawn three saves chances over the past week and was able to secure the win in each of those games. The right-hander is now 3-for-4 in save opportunities and currently sports a 1.35 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 17:5 K:BB across 14 outings (13.1 innings). As long as Fairbanks is sidelined, Adam will presumably be Tampa Bay's go-to closer.

Martin retired all three batters faced in the eighth inning of Friday's 5-3 win over Philadelphia.

Martin had a second consecutive clean outing, setting the Phillies down in order on five pitches to record his sixth hold. Kenley Jansen cleaned up in the ninth for the save. He's looked like an effective bridge to Jansen since his return from the injured list, throwing three scoreless innings over three appearances and recording holds in all three.

Lopez walked one and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to record his fourth save of the season in a 5-4 win over the Reds.

The right-hander appears to be fully over the biceps soreness he dealt with earlier in the week, as Lopez pitched for a second straight day and reached 100 mph with six of his 12 pitches. He's struggled as the White Sox closer so far, blowing half of his eight save chances while posting an 8.16 ERA and 1.60 WHIP despite a 32.8 percent strikeout rate. With Liam Hendriks (illness) having begun a rehab assignment, Lopez could be back in a setup role before the end of the month.

Pressly picked up the save in Friday's 6-4 victory over the Mariners. He allowed two hits over one scoreless inning. He did not strike out or walk a batter.

Pressly has now tossed scoreless outings in 12 of his last 13 appearances. The right-hander also sports an elite 0.83 WHIP, and he has yet to blow a save this year.

Smith (0-2) took the extra-inning loss and a blown save Friday versus the Angels. He gave up four runs (three earned) on four hits and a walk over 1.1 innings.

Smith was responsible for all of the Angels' three runs in the ninth inning in his first appearance since being named the full-time closer. Despite that poor showing, he stayed in to face Shohei Ohtani after intentionally walking Mike Trout. Ohtani delivered a fielder's choice, and Josh Sborz reliever Smith, allowing the winning run to score on a wild pitch. While the loss was not fully Smith's fault, it was by far his worst outing of the season. He now has a 3.75 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB through 12 innings. He's added four saves and four holds in 12 appearances.

Estevez (1-1) earned the extra-inning win Friday, allowing one walk and striking out two over one inning versus the Rangers.

Estevez did his job in the top of the 10th inning, and the Angels' offense rewarded him with a walkoff win. This was his ninth consecutive scoreless appearance, a span in which he has a 13:2 K:BB with only two hits allowed in 9.2 innings. He's at a 1.08 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 22:7 K:BB, seven saves and two holds through 16.2 innings. Those strong numbers have helped the right-hander earn at least a primary share of save chances, and he should have a little more stability in the role with Jose Quijada (elbow) set for Tommy John surgery.

Lange allowed a hit and struck out three in one inning to earn the save in Friday's 5-4 win over the Cardinals.

Lange issued a leadoff double to Paul Goldschmidt, then struck out Willson Contreras, Nolan Arenado and Dylan Carlson in order. After a shaky start to the season, Lange has strung together 12 scoreless innings. He's up to six saves and a hold while posting a 1.15 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 21:6 K:BB across 15.2 innings overall.

Hendriks (illness) threw a scoreless inning with a strikeout in a rehab appearance for Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Hendriks needed just nine pitches to get out of the inning. The right-hander could work again Sunday, and he eventually will make back-to-back appearances for the Knights before he rejoins the White Sox and their bullpen. Hendriks has missed all of the 2023 season after being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma over the winter, and he should be closing games for the White Sox in a very short time.
