Cox was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Friday.

Cox did well in his major-league debut Thursday, allowing just one man to reach base over two scoreless frames. He's performed well in Triple-A as well (2.21 ERA, 1.29 WHIP), so it wouldn't be surprising to see him return to Kansas City at some point this season. Jonathan Heasley was promoted to the Royals to take Cox's roster spot.

The Royals recalled Heasley from Triple-A Omaha on Friday.

Heasley hasn't gotten off to a great start in Triple-A this season, posting a 9.00 ERA and 1.65 WHIP through 31 innings over six starts. It's unclear whether the Royals will decide to insert him into their starting rotation or use him as a multi-inning reliever, but he's not a recommended fantasy option either way. Austin Cox was optioned to Omaha in a corresponding move.

Littell was acquired by the Red Sox from the Rangers on Friday in exchange for cash considerations, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Littell has posted a 2.25 ERA and 16:2 K:BB over 12 innings this season at the Triple-A level. He'll report to Triple-A Worcester for now but could get a look with the big club before long.

Hentges was activated from the 15-day injured list Friday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Hentges will join the Guardians' bullpen Friday night against the Twins after missing the first five weeks of the 2023 regular season due to shoulder inflammation. The 26-year-old lefty broke out to the tune of a 2.32 ERA and 72:19 K:BB over 62 innings of relief with Cleveland in 2022.

Ort was recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Ort will rejoin the Red Sox's bullpen as a result of Kutter Crawford (hamstring) landing on the 15-day injured list Friday. Ort has struggled in 12 major-league appearances this season, holding a 7.30 ERA and 1.78 WHIP across 12.1 frames.

Peralta was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.

With Joe Kelly returning from the paternity list Friday, Peralta gets squeezed off the White Sox's roster. The 24-year-old southpaw made one appearance for Chicago, allowing two earned runs in just 0.2 innings.

Kelly was reinstated from the paternity list Friday.

Kelly is back with the White Sox after he missed the team's series with the Twins, and he'll return to his role as a late-inning option for Chicago. Sammy Peralta was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte to make room for Kelly on the major-league roster.

Rodriguez will be called up from Triple-A St. Paul by the Twins prior to Friday's game in Cleveland, Gavin Kahn of EnterSports Management reports.

It's not clear at this point whose spot on the roster Rodriguez will be taking. The right-hander has posted a 4.66 ERA and 20:10 K:BB over 19.1 innings this year at St. Paul.

Jackson is expected to be recalled by the Blue Jays prior to Friday's game in Pittsburgh, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

He's likely in line to take the spot of Zach Pop (hamstring). The 35-year-old Jackson holds a 5.91 ERA but a 15:2 K:BB over 10.2 innings this season at Triple-A Buffalo.

Chapman (1-2) allowed two runs on a hit and three walks in one-third of an inning, taking the loss and a blown save Thursday versus the Orioles.

Chapman was called upon to preserve a one-run lead in the eighth inning and couldn't get the job done, walking three of the five batters he faced. Amir Garrett was able to induce a double play to limit the damage, but he then struggled in the ninth. Chapman has been scored on in three of his last five outings. He now has a 3.09 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB through 11.2 innings while adding a save, a blown save and three holds.
