The Rangers called up Bradford from Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday and will have him start Sunday's series finale against Baltimore, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Bradford will fill in for Dane Dunning, who was placed on paternity leave Saturday. The left-hander will be making his second big-league start after he gave up six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings in his MLB debut versus Atlanta on May 15.

Sandlin (2-2) allowed an unearned run and one walk while striking out one over one inning, taking the extra-inning loss versus the Cardinals on Saturday.

It was a passed ball that allowed Brendan Donovan to scurry home for the decisive run in the 10th inning. Prior to Saturday, Sandlin had pitched 7.2 scoreless innings to begin May. The right-hander has been effective in a low-leverage role with a 3.26 ERA, though his 0.78 WHIP shows that he's been better at limiting baserunners through 19.1 innings this season. He's added a hold and a blown save, but he's unlikely to challenge Emmanuel Clase or Trevor Stephan for late-inning work.

Jansen earned a save against the Diamondbacks on Saturday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning.

Jansen got the call to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning and retired Arizona in order on 13 pitches. The veteran closer posted his third straight scoreless outing -- two of which have resulted in a save -- following a troubling pair of appearances in mid-May during which he blew two saves and allowed six runs (five earned) across one inning. Those two blowups have Jansen's ERA at 3.45 on the campaign, but he's kept the opponent off the scoreboard in 14 of his 17 outings overall.

Stewart picked up the save Saturday against the Blue Jays. He allowed one hit and no walks while striking out one over a scoreless inning.

Jhoan Duran threw a scoreless eighth inning and Jorge Lopez couldn't finish the ninth inning (despite a 9-4 lead), so Stewart was called in to finish the game and convert a save chance. Stewart has suddenly become a reliable option in a struggling bullpen as he's thrown 14 scoreless innings with 15 strikeouts, though he has a concerning 11 walks. He could see increasing high-leverage opportunities if he can issue fewer free passes.

Lopez allowed three runs on three hits, including a two-run home run, without retiring a batter in Saturday's 9-7 victory over the Blue Jays.

Lopez had a strong start to the season with 12 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts and one walk before May. Since May 2, Lopez has struggled with two losses, three blown saves and an 8.10 ERA in 10 innings. The Twins may need to move him to lower-leverage work until he gets back on track.

LaSorsa will have his contract selected from Triple-A Durham by the Rays on Sunday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Rays will need to clear a spot on the 40-man and 26-man active roster in order to add LaSorsa to the club. The left-hander has made 11 appearances thus far with Durham while forging a 3.38 ERA and 15:8 K:BB over 24 innings.

Bachman tossed two innings against Miami on Friday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four batters.

It was a mixed bag for Bachman in his first major-league outing -- he threw just 26 of 47 pitches for strikes and allowed three baserunners in each of his two frames, though the Marlins posted only one run on him. The right-hander also impressed with four punchouts while throwing his fastball in the high-90s. Bachman started in all 23 of his minor-league appearances after being a first-round draft pick by the Angels in 2021, but he's expected to work out of the bullpen during his initial stint in the majors.

Bernardino was optioned to Triple-A Worcester on Saturday.

Bernardino will head back to Worcester after being called up Monday, tossing a scoreless inning while allowing a walk and striking out batter in Friday's 7-2 win over Arizona. The move opens a roster spot for Garrett Whitlock (elbow), who was reinstated from the 15-day injured list and will start Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Martinez was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Martinez will head to Las Vegas after posting a 2.84 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with six strikeouts over 6.1 innings in five appearances during his second stint with Oakland this season. The 26-year-old will likely get another shot with the Athletics this summer, but for now, Hogan Harris was recalled from Triple-A and will serve as the bulk relief pitcher following opener Austin Pruitt versus the Astros on Saturday. Meanwhile, the team's official site reports Martinez will work as a starter -- his projected long-term role in the majors -- with the Aviators after primarily operating in multi-inning relief out of necessity during his just-concluded big-league stint.

Pruitt will operate as the Athletics' opening pitcher Saturday versus Houston, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Pruitt will draw another start after serving as the opener Wednesday against the Mariners, tossing a scoreless first inning while allowing two hits. Hogan Harris was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday and is expected to handle the bulk-relief role following Pruitt.
