  • Jake Eder SP | WAS

Angels' Jake Eder: Back with Halos

The Angels recalled Eder from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

Since being demoted to Triple-A in late May, Eder has registered a 7.05 ERA and 1.57 WHIP across 37 innings. Despite his recent struggles, the 26-year-old will rejoin the big-league club to provide length out of the Angels' bullpen. He replaces Jack Kochanowicz on the 26-man roster.

  • Dane Dunning RP | ATL

Rangers' Dane Dunning: Sent to Triple-A

The Rangers optioned Dunning to Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.

The right-hander spent the past 10 days in the majors but will head back to Round Rock with Caleb Boushley joining the active roster Friday. Dunning has a 3.38 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 10:5 K:BB over 10.2 frames in the big leagues this season.

  • Rangers' Caleb Boushley: Joining active roster

The Rangers recalled Boushley from Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.

Boushley has bounced between Triple-A and the majors this season, and he'll join the Rangers' bullpen ahead of the team's three-game set in Houston. In 15 MLB appearances, Boushley has logged a 5.04 ERA and a 29:5 K:BB across 30.1 innings. Dane Dunning was optioned to Round Rock in a corresponding move.

  • Tigers' Sawyer Gipson-Long: Throws bullpen

Gipson-Long (neck) completed a bullpen session Thursday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

The outing marked Gipson-Long's first time throwing off a mound since being placed on the 15-day injured list July 2 with a neck strain. The 27-year-old will be eligible for activation after the All-Star break, but it's unclear if he'll be ready by then.

  • Carlos Vargas RP | SEA

Mariners' Carlos Vargas: Placed on paternity list

The Mariners placed Vargas on the paternity list Friday.

The All-Star break begins Monday, so it's likely Vargas will have the full weekend off for personal reasons before returning to the team when the schedule resumes. Seattle recalled Tayler Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move.

  • Tayler Saucedo RP | SEA

Mariners' Tayler Saucedo: Back in big leagues

The Mariners recalled Saucedo from Triple-A Tacoma on Friday.

The 32-year-old will take Carlos Vargas' spot on the active roster as Vargas heads to the paternity list. Saucedo has a 3.38 ERA in 10 appearances with Tacoma, but he's yielded four runs in 3.2 innings with the Mariners in 2025. He hasn't been on the active roster since late April.

  • Nic Enright RP | CLE

Guardians' Nic Enright: Up for doubleheader

Enright will serve as the Guardians' 27th player for Friday's doubleheader against the White Sox, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Enright will provide a fresh arm for Cleveland's bullpen, marking his second MLB stint of the season. In 11 appearances with the Guardians this season, the righty owns a 2.08 ERA and an 11:7 K:BB across 13 innings. He'll likely head back to Triple-A Columbus after Friday's nightcap.

  • Fraser Ellard RP | CHW

White Sox's Fraser Ellard: Rejoins bullpen

The White Sox recalled Ellard from Triple-A Charlotte to serve as their 27th man for Friday's doubleheader versus the Guardians.

Ellard will rejoin the White Sox for the first time since early May, after being reinstated from the 60-day IL and optioned to Charlotte on July 4. During his time at Triple-A this season, Ellard hasn't shown an ability to curb his walks (17.3 BB% in 11 innings), so the White Sox may not be eager to deploy him in high-leverage spots. He'll likely be returned to Charlotte once the twin bill concludes.

  • Red Sox's Aroldis Chapman: Continues to roll with 16th save

Chapman picked up the save in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Rays, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out two.

The veteran southpaw continues to roll right along as Boston's closer in 2025, having now converted 16 of his 17 save opportunities. Additionally, Chapman hasn't yielded an earned run over his last 16 innings. That said, his expiring contract makes him a logical trade candidate ahead of the July 31 deadline, which is something for fantasy managers to keep in mind moving forward.

  • Bryan Baker RP | TB

Rays' Bryan Baker: Flounders in team debut

Baker (3-3) was charged with the loss and a blown save in Thursday's 4-3 loss to Boston, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks in the seventh inning. He struck out one.

Making his Rays debut, Baker was brought on to protect a three-run lead but floundered in the seventh frame. The 30-year-old right-hander should still act as a setup man for closer Pete Fairbanks in Tampa Bay's bullpen moving ahead, although the former has now given up seven runs in his past two outings. Baker is now at a 4.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 50:11 K:BB over 39.1 innings in 2025.
