Misiewicz (1-1) picked up the win Wednesday over the Twins. He struck out three and allowed a hit in 1.1 scoreless innings.

Starter Daniel Lynch lasted four innings, and Collin Snider worked the fifth, but it was Misiewicz who was awarded the win in a game the Royals led from the first inning on. Since his promotion from Triple-A Omaha on Aug. 24, he's posted a 5.79 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB across 9.1 innings. Misiewicz has been slightly better overall this season with a 5.09 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB through 23 innings between the Royals and the Mariners, but those ratios are unlikely to earn him anything more than low-leverage assignments.

Swanson (2-1) took the loss Wednesday against the Athletics. He allowed two runs on two hits and a walk without recording an out.

It was a disastrous outing for Swanson, who failed to record an out after he was called upon in the bottom of the seventh. He surrendered a leadoff walk to Jordan Diaz to begin the inning and then allowed back-to-back hits to put the Mariners down 2-0 before getting pulled. After not allowing a run through all of August, Swanson has now given up four runs in September but still sports a solid 1.49 ERA and 0.89 WHIP on the season.

Raley (1-2) allowed three earned runs on three hits across one inning to take the loss Wednesday against the Astros.

Raley entered the game with a one-run lead, but he allowed a three-run home run to Kyle Tucker to take the loss. Entering Wednesday's appearance, Raley had turned in 10 consecutive scoreless outings -- spanning 10.2 innings -- while also picking up six holds in that span. Despite the stumble, Raley has been excellent for the Rays this season with a 2.47 ERA and 0.92 WHIP across 51 frames.

Yarbrough is expected to serve as a bulk reliever behind opener JT Chargois in Thursday's game against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Since being called up from Triple-A Durham on Aug. 30, all three of Yarbrough's appearances have come out of the bullpen on days the Rays have deployed openers. In those outings, Yarbrough has gone 1-0 with an 0.84 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 6:3 K:BB in 10.2 innings. The Rays may continue to deploy him as a bulk reliever so long as the arrangement keeps yielding quality results.

Barlow picked up the save in Wednesday's 5-2 victory over the Twins, allowing one hit while striking out one over one inning.

Barlow has kept the opponent off the board in nine of his last 10 appearances and has not allowed an extra-base hit over 7.1 innings during his last seven outings. The righty has been stellar at home with a 1.57 ERA over 40 innings compared to a 3.38 ERA over 29.1 innings away from Kansas City.

Leclerc allowed one hit and struck out two over a scoreless ninth inning in Wednesday's 7-2 win over the Angels.

Leclerc, who hadn't pitched since last Friday, was probably going to pitch regardless of the situation. As it was, the Rangers were leading 4-2 in the eighth inning, and he was warming up for what could have been a save. However, the Rangers plated three runs in the bottom of the frame, making it a non-save opportunity for the closer. The rust did not have an effect on Leclerc, who found the zone on 11 of his 14 pitches.

Weissert was optioned down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following the Yankees' victory over Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Weissert made 11 appearances for the Yankees during which he recorded a 6.10 ERA and 1.06 WHIP over 10.1 innings. The move frees up a spot on the Yankees' big-league roster, leaving room for Scott Effross to be activated Thursday.

Davidson (1-5) took the loss Wednesday, allowing three runs on five hits with three punchouts over five innings against the Rangers.

Davidson was the victim of a few timely hits Wednesday, as three of the five baserunners he allowed came around to score. The southpaw's inability to strand runners is emblematic of his season as a whole; if he had enough innings to qualify, his 65.2 percent LOB percentage would be the lowest among starting pitchers this season. He will carry a 6.80 ERA into his next start.

Foley allowed three runs on five hits across an inning of relief in Wednesday's loss to the Orioles. He struck out one.

Foley entered the game with Baltimore up 5-1 in the eighth, and the Tigers decided to let the righty ride despite his struggles. He's now allowed runs in his last two appearances and has an 11.37 ERA this month across 6.1 innings. Foley's season ERA is still a respectable 3.65, though he's been trending in the wrong direction lately.

Pressly got the save in Wednesday's win over the Rays, allowing a walk while striking out a batter over one inning.

Pressly entered the game in the bottom of the ninth, making quick work of the first two batters he faced before walking Jose Siri with two outs. The right-hander was able to get Taylor Walls to ground out to end the contest, earning his 30th save of the season. The 33-year-old has now converted nine consecutive save chances, producing a 2.38 ERA and 0.62 WHIP with 19 strikeouts over 11.1 innings in his last 12 appearances.
