Beeter was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Beeter was called up for his 2025 debut with the Yankees on Wednesday, and he allowed three earned runs across 1.2 innings Thursday against Toronto. He'll now head back to the minors and should serve as depth for the big-league club the rest of the season.

Hoffman earned the save in Thursday's 8-5 win over the Yankees, working around a hit while striking out none in a scoreless ninth inning.

Hoffman's now converted four consecutive save chances while going 7.1 straight innings without allowing an earned run. Overall, the 32-year-old Hoffman is 21-for-25 in save opportunities this season with a 4.58 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 50:10 K:BB across 37.1 innings.

The Mariners optioned Jacques to Triple-A Tacoma following Wednesday's 3-2 victory over the Royals.

Jacques was not utilized in the lone game he was up with the Mariners on Wednesday. In a corresponding move, Logan Evans was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma.

The Tigers optioned Owens to Triple-A Toledo on Thursday.

Owens was brought up from the minor leagues to replace the injured Sawyer Gipson-Long (neck), but after giving up a run during his inning of work Wednesday against the Nationals, he'll head right back to Triple-A. Bailey Horn, the Tigers' 27th man during Wednesday's doubleheader, will remain with the big club to fill the open roster spot.

Horn wasn't used in either game of Wednesday's twin bill versus Washington, so the Tigers will gain a fresh bullpen arm by keeping him on the active roster. Tyler Owens will head down to Toledo instead in order to create roster space for Horn.

The Guardians designated Allard for assignment Thursday.

Allard's move to the bullpen this season has paid off so far, as he owns a 2.55 ERA and 1.44 WHIP through 35.1 innings. However, he'll lose his spot on the 26-man and 40-man roster to make room for Doug Nikhazy, who was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Thursday. Thanks to his newfound success as a reliever, Allard could draw interest from other clubs scanning the waiver wire for some bullpen help.

The Guardians recalled Cantillo from Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.

Cantillo will come up from the minors as the rotation replacement for Luis L. Ortiz, who was placed on leave Thursday and is being investigated for a possible gambling-related offense. Cantillo owns a 3.81 ERA and 1.38 WHIP through 28.1 innings on the year, but he hasn't pitched more than three innings in an appearance this season, so his start against the Cubs on Thursday will likely be short-lived.

The Red Sox optioned Criswell to Triple-A Worcester on Thursday.

Criswell will return to Worcester after he was called up to serve as the Red Sox's 27th man Wednesday while Boston and Cincinnati resumed a suspended game from Tuesday before playing the series finale. He was expected to work in bulk relief in the second game of the day, but the Red Sox used five other pitchers before Criswell was called upon to record the final five outs of their 8-4 win. He kept the Reds off the board and gave up two hits during his appearance, bringing his ERA and WHIP to 5.06 and 1.78, respectively, through 10.2 innings with the big club.

Ramirez (shoulder) was reinstated from Triple-A St. Paul's 60-day injured list Tuesday and struck out three while allowing two hits over two scoreless innings.

Ramirez had been out all season after suffering a significant right shoulder strain in spring training that ended his longshot bid for a spot in the Twins' Opening Day bullpen. After beginning a rehab assignment in the rookie-level Florida Complex League on June 20 and making three appearances, Ramirez proved his health and was given the green light to make his debut for St. Paul.

Garcia (1-2) was charged with his fourth blown save of the season but picked up the win in Wednesday's 11-9 victory over the Yankees, giving up two runs on two hits and two walks in the eighth inning. He struck out one.

Making his return from a shoulder issue that had sidelined him since May 22, Garcia looked a little rusty as he served up a homer to Aaron Judge and tossed just 18 of 34 pitches for strikes, but after blowing a two-run lead he got bailed out by the Blue Jays offense in the bottom of the frame. The right-hander topped out at 97.2 mph with his fastball and appeared to be healthy, so despite the stumble, he should reclaim the setup role that has seen Garcia collect three saves and six holds in 22 appearances this season.
