Trivino allowed two runs on three hits with three strikeouts in one inning during Tuesday's 14-7 victory against the Rangers, blowing the save in the process.

Trivino entered in the ninth inning to protect a two-run lead and surrendered a leadoff solo shot to Corey Seager followed by two straight two-out hits to blow his second save of the campaign. The 30-year-old had allowed just one run over his last 7.2 innings across eight appearances prior to Tuesday's hiccup, though he still owns an unsightly 7.11 ERA and 2.05 WHIP in 25.1 innings.

Rangers president Jon Daniels said Tuesday that Alexy will shift to the bullpen at Triple-A Round Rock, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Alexy failed to make Texas' Opening Day rotation and has struggled as a starter for Triple-A Round Rock this year with a 6.43 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 74:39 K:BB across 70 innings. The 24-year-old will now move to the bullpen in hopes of straightening things out.

Holmes (4-1) gave up four earned runs on two hits, a walk, and two hit batters without recording an out to take the loss in a 4-3 defeat to the Reds on Tuesday.

Holmes has been one of the most dominant relievers in all of baseball this season, but he struggled immensely with his control in this outing, hitting Tyler Stephenson to load the basis and then later hitting Kyle Farmer to give up his second run of the inning. After Holmes was pulled from the game, he was responsible for the two runners who came in to score on a Jonathan India single off Wandy Peralta. Prior to this appearance, Holmes had only given up two earned runs all season. If he can bounce back soon, he should maintain his hold on the closer role in New York.

Romano gave up one hit and no walks while striking out one in a clean ninth inning to pick up the save in a 4-3 win over the Phillies on Tuesday.

With the Blue Jays clinging to a one-run lead going into the bottom of the ninth, manager Charlie Montoyo called on Romano to close the door on the bottom part of the Phillies' lineup. Romano gave up a leadoff single but got three consecutive outs to earn save No. 19 on the season. Romano has now pitched six consecutive scoreless outings and has not given up an earned run in July. The 29-year-old power arm continues to show why he is locked in as Toronto's closer.

Winder (4-3) took the loss Tuesday against Milwaukee, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks while striking out two in five innings.

Winder allowed two-out two-run homers to Andrew McCutchen in the first and Willy Adames in the fifth. Five of the six baserunners he allowed came around to score. The rookie had allowed only four homers in his first 40.1 innings in the majors before Tuesday's two-homer outing. He may get one more start before the All-Star break on Sunday against the White Sox.

Cuas (2-1) allowed four runs (one earned) on two hits and a walk in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Tigers.

Cuas was responsible for the Tigers' four-run rally in the seventh inning, though a trio of errors from his teammates didn't help the cause. July's taken a shaky turn for Cuas, who has surrendered six runs (three earned) in his last 5.2 innings across eight appearances. He'd allowed only three earned runs in his first full month in the majors. The right-hander has pitched to a 3.06 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 13:11 K:BB across 17.2 innings overall, and while he's added five holds, the lingering control issues make him difficult to trust.

Soto allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Royals.

Soto was able to protect a two-run lead to earn his fifth save in his last six appearances. Since a three-run blown save June 16, the left-hander has given up one run, five hits and three walks while striking out nine over 7.1 innings. He's 18-for-20 in save chances this year, and he's posted a 2.59 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 32:15 K:BB in 31.1 innings overall. Soto's steady pitching keeps him locked in as the Tigers' closer.

Brieske (3-6) allowed three runs on five hits, a walk and a hit batsman while striking out four in six innings to earn the win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Brieske turned in his third straight quality start and his second consecutive win. All three runs against him came in the first two innings before he settled in, facing just one batter over the minimum over his last four frames. It appears the rookie right-hander is starting to find some stability in the middle of his first big-league season, as he's covered at least six innings in five of his eight starts since the beginning of June. He owns a 4.19 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 54:25 K:BB through 81.2 innings in 15 starts overall. Brieske is tentatively lined up to start Sunday versus the Guardians in the Tigers' last game before the All-Star break.

Lopez registered the save during Tuesday's 4-2 win against the Cubs, striking out one in a perfect ninth.

Lopez made quick work of the middle of Chicago's lineup, retiring the side on 12 pitches to extend Baltimore's win streak to nine games. The 29-year-old has logged four saves in five appearances during the streak, surrendering one run while recording eight strikeouts during a combined five innings.

Raley picked up the save Tuesday, striking out two and walking a batter in the ninth inning of a 3-2 victory over Boston.

After retiring the first two batters in order in the ninth, Raley issued a two-out walk to Jeter Downs. He finished the night by striking out Franchy Cordero on three pitches. It was his fifth save of the season and first since June 26. His five saves are tied for the team lead with Andrew Kittredge (elbow) and Colin Poche. Raley should continue to get the occasional save opportunity as part of the Rays' back-end bullpen committee.
