The Angels could call Silseth up from the minors to start Friday's game in Oakland after he was scratched from his upcoming outing Thursday at Double-A Rocket City, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Silseth has been a big breakout pitcher in the minors this season, logging a 1.73 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 37:7 K:BB in 26 innings over five starts at Double-A. He features a good fastball with tail, a curveball and a changeup. Given his dominance in the minors, he could be up for good if he has success right out of the gate.

Akin is expected to be used in an extended relief appearance behind opener Bryan Baker in Thursday's game in St. Louis, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.

The Orioles are treating their series finale with the Cardinals as a bullpen day, with Baker likely to work 1-to-2 innings before bowing out of the contest. Akin is the most obvious candidate to eat innings behind Baker, given that the 27-year-old lefty is a former starter who has covered between two and three frames in all eight of his relief appearances on the season. However, since Akin will be pitching on three days' rest, the Orioles likely won't ask him to cover much more than three innings.

Baker will start Thursday's game in St. Louis in what's expected to a bullpen day for the Orioles, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Baker hasn't recorded more than five outs in any of his 11 appearances out of the Baltimore bullpen this season, so he's unlikely to pitch more than two innings before checking out of the contest. The Orioles don't have an obvious primary pitcher to work behind Baker, but converted starter Keegan Akin could offer a decent amount of length while he's available in the bullpen on three days' rest.

Feyereisen (3-0) threw a scoreless ninth inning and struck out one to earn the win Wednesday against the Angels.

Feyereisen entered the game with the score tied at two and set down the Angels in order on 12 pitches, and the Rays took the lead in the 10th to set him up for the win. He has yet to allow an earned run across 15 innings this season, also maintaining a 13:3 K:BB. While Feyereisen has yet to record a save, he does have three holds and three wins while filling a versatile role as both an opener and high-leverage reliever.

Kittredge allowed two earned runs on three hits across 0.2 innings Wednesday against the Angels.

Kittredge entered the game in the eighth inning with a two-run lead, but he quickly blew the advantage by surrendering a home run to Taylor Ward. It's not clear whether the Rays were planning for Kittredge to record a six-out save -- he's worked two innings in three appearances this season -- or if he was working as the setup man. Regardless, he has now allowed three earned runs across his last 2.2 innings spanning two outings. Kittredge's overall numbers remain strong as he's maintained a 3.00 ERA and 0.80 WHIP with a 12:1 K:BB across 15 innings. However, he's served up three home runs and may start to cede save chances more regularly to Brooks Raley if his struggles continue.

Logue (2-1) picked up the win in Wednesday's 9-0 rout of the Tigers, allowing five hits over seven scoreless innings. he struck out six without walking a batter.

The southpaw kept Detroit hitters off-balance all game with his deception and movement despite a fastball that topped out at 91.3 mph and routinely sat in the high 80s. Logue tossed 64 of 97 pitches for strikes en route to his first career quality start in only his second start and third appearance in the majors, and he appears to be locking down a rotation spot for Oakland.

The Tigers recalled Foley from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday.

He'll assume the 26-man active roster spot of Joey Wentz, who was optioned to Toledo following his first MLB start in Wednesday's 9-0 loss to the Athletics. Foley will give the Tigers a fresh arm in the bullpen for Thursday's series finale.

Raley walked one and struck out one in a scoreless 10th inning Wednesday to record his third save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Angels.

The Rays' bullpen usage remains as mercurial as ever, but Raley at the very least appears to have earned a place of trust among Kevin Cash's high-leverage crew. The veteran lefty has two saves, a win and a hold in his last four games and has been scored upon in only one of his 11 appearances this season, leaving him with a 1.80 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB through 10 innings.

Santana allowed an unearned run on one walk over one inning during Wednesday's 8-2 loss to the Royals.

The run may have been unearned, but the blame falls directly on Santana, whose throwing error and wild pitch allowed Whit Merrifield to reach third base with none out. The reliever has been effective for the Rangers with just one earned run allowed over eight innings (1.13 ERA, 0.62 WHIP) and five holds. Working against those results are his BABIP (.125), FIP (3.37) and xERA (2.83), which indicate a correction is coming.

Speier didn't allow a baserunner in two innings, striking out one in a no-decision Wednesday versus the Rangers.

Wednesday's was a bullpen game for the Royals, and Speier got it started the right way before turning the ball over to Joel Payamps. Through eight outings, Speier has yet to allow a run or issue a walk. The southpaw has racked up eight strikeouts while allowing just three hits over 11.1 innings, though he's yet to record a decision, a save or a hold. His success as an opener Wednesday could lead to him seeing more time in that role later in the year if necessary.
