Clarke (1-0) earned the win in Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader versus the Orioles. He pitched a perfect inning and struck out one.

Clarke did his job to keep the game tied at 4-4 in the eighth inning, and the Royals took the lead in the ninth. Through 11 innings, Clarke has a 0.82 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 11:0 K:BB. The lone run against him came on a solo home run in his second outing of the season. The right-hander has picked up a save, a hold and a blown save in 11 appearances, though his overall strong work has allowed him more high-leverage opportunities in the last couple of weeks.

Barlow allowed two hits and no walks while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Sunday's matinee win over the Orioles.

Barlow was charged with a blown save in his last outing, but he returned to form Sunday by picking up his second save of the season. The right-hander has split early season closing duties with Josh Staumont, who also has two saves this year. Following Sunday's appearance, Barlow has posted a 1.46 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 12.1 innings.

Lopez (3-2) allowed two unearned runs on two hits and a walk while failing to record a strikeout in 1.1 innings to take the loss and blown save in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Royals.

Lopez entered Sunday's matchup with the score tied, but he was unable to hold the Royals in check and was charged with his first blown save in 2022. In spite of Sunday's loss, the right-hander has converted four of five save chances while posting a 1.20 ERA and 1.07 WHIP in 15 innings over his first 13 appearances this year.

Barlow earned the save Sunday, allowing a walk and striking out a batter in the ninth inning of a 4-2 win over the Yankees.

After walking the first batter, Barlow retired the final three batters in order. It was not the most efficient outing as he needed 24 pitches to complete the inning, throwing only 13 strikes. The 26-year-old has not allowed a hit in his last six outings, covering 6.1 innings, and is 4-for-4 in save opportunities on the season.

Tate saved a 4-2 victory over the Royals in Game 2 of a doubleheader Sunday, allowing one hit and striking out two in the ninth inning.

With closer Jorge Lopez unavailable after throwing 25 pitches in Game 1, Tate worked around a leadoff single to strike out two and secure his first save of the season. The 28-year-old has been superb in a setup role with a 1.93 ERA and 0.71 WHIP in 14 innings across 12 games and stands to gain significant appeal if Lopez were to falter.

Zimmermann (2-1) got the win during Sunday's 4-2 victory over Kansas City in Game 2 of a doubleheader, allowing two runs on five hits with five strikeouts in six innings.

Baltimore scored three runs in the first inning to provide all the support Zimmermann would need Sunday, and the 27-year-old was able to limit the damage to a run apiece in the second and sixth. He's now recorded quality starts in two of his last three turns and tossed a season-high 85 pitches with 56 finding the zone Sunday. A 2.79 FIP validates an impressive 2.67 ERA as Zimmermann looks to keep things rolling against Detroit next weekend.

Yarbrough struck out four in five scoreless innings, allowing four hits and a walk in a 2-1 loss Sunday in Seattle. He did not factor into the decision.

Yarbrough scattered four singles and pitched efficiently, tallying 68 pitches through five frames. It was his first start and second appearance of the season after beginning the campaign on the injured list due to a groin injury. The start was vastly different from his first outing when he allowed five runs over 2.1 innings. His next appearance will likely be next weekend against Toronto, though it's not yet known if he'll serve as the starter or follow an opener.

Lakins was returned to Triple-A Norfolk following Sunday's doubleheader against the Royals, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Lakins served as the 27th man during Sunday's twin bill, but he didn't appear in either game. The right-hander has posted a 9.72 ERA and 1.92 WHIP in 8.1 innings over five relief appearances in the majors this year, and he'll attempt to sort things out in Norfolk.

Otto registered a no-decision during Sunday's 4-2 victory over the Yankees in Game 2 of a doubleheader, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks with two strikeouts in five innings.

Otto put runners on base in each of the first three innings, with the damage limited to a Giancarlo Stanton two-run shot in the third, but he was able to settle down to retire the final seven Yankees he faced. The 26-year-old has increased his pitch count in each of his three turns and owns an impressive 3.14 ERA and 0.98 WHIP through 14.1 innings -- drastic improvements from last season's 9.26 and 1.71 marks in 23.1 innings. He'll take the hill again next weekend against Boston.

Holmes (3-0) allowed a hit and no walks while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win over the Rangers in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader.

Holmes has been one of the most productive relievers in baseball early in the season, and the Yankees haven't hesitated to use him in high-leverage situations. Following Sunday's outing, he's recorded three wins, two saves and six holds with a 0.64 ERA and 0.86 WHIP in 14 innings over his first 14 relief appearances in 2022. Although Aroldis Chapman is the Yankees' clear closer, Holmes has been effective while being used in a variety of high-leverage scenarios.
