Latz earned a save against the Astros on Tuesday, allowing one run on one hit while striking out two batters over 1.1 innings.

Texas jumped out to an 8-0 lead after one inning, but Houston managed to close the deficit to three runs with two outs in the eighth. Latz was brought in with a runner on second in that frame and struck out Brice Matthews to finish the inning. He then gave up a solo homer to Jeremy Pena in the ninth, but the Astros weren't able to get any closer. Latz's save was his first in two weeks and just his third appearance over that span. With that said, no Texas pitcher picked up a save during those two weeks, and Latz remains the leading candidate for saves moving forward.

Falter (0-2) took the loss against the Yankees on Tuesday, allowing seven runs on nine hits while striking out three batters over 2.1 innings.

Falter was called upon to work as Kansas City's opener for a second straight outing. He gave the Royals 2.1 frames but was hit hard, serving up three homers and five runs before he departed. Two more runs were charged to Falter's ledger following his exit, pushing his ERA to an ugly 13.97 through 9.2 frames on the campaign. It remains to be seen how Falter will be utilized moving forward, but he's struggled to such an extent that Kansas City may need to reconsider his role.

Yarbrough tossed three scoreless innings against the Royals on Tuesday, allowing two hits and issuing one walk while registering a save.

Cam Schlittler gave New York six innings of one-run ball, and the Yankees had built a 10-1 lead when Yarbrough entered in the seventh. The left-hander ended up closing out the contest, firing 29 of 44 pitches for strikes and keeping Kansas City out of the scoring column. Yarbrough notched his first save since picking up another three-inning save in September of last season. The veteran hurler doesn't figure to log many additional saves given his middle- and long-relief role.

Bowman signed a minor-league contract with the Blue Jays on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Bowman owns a 1.69 ERA and 1.14 WHIP through 21.1 innings at Triple-A this season, but he was let go by the Twins on Wednesday after exercising an opt-out clause in his contract. The 35-year-old's impressive performance could lead to a return to the big leagues more easily now that he's with the Blue Jays, who currently have 10 pitchers on the injured list.

Crochet (shoulder) said that he's scheduled to throw a second live batting practice session Sunday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Crochet completed a one-inning live BP session Tuesday, marking the first time that he faced hitters since landing on the injured list April 29 due to left shoulder inflammation. The southpaw felt pleased with how the session went, noting afterward that he's no longer dealing with fatigue and is now focused on ramping up his workload and honing his mechanics. Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy was similarly upbeat after Crochet's workout, noting that the 26-year-old's velocity sat in the mid-90s. Boston hasn't ruled out the possibility of Crochet returning from the IL without going out on a rehab assignment, but because he's been on the shelf for the past month, he'll most likely need to make a start in the minors prior to being activated.

Royals manager Matt Quatraro said that Estevez (shoulder) is slated to be re-examined by the team doctor Tuesday and could be cleared to resume throwing if he receives a positive evaluation, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.

Initially placed on the injured list April 1 due to a left foot contusion, Estevez began a rehab assignment earlier this month but made just one appearance before being shut down, after he was diagnosed with a rotator cuff strain in his right shoulder. While Estevez looks like he could start playing catch by the end of the week, he'll likely be ramped up slowly during his throwing program and will eventually need to head back out on another rehab assignment prior to being activated. During Estevez's extended absence, the Royals have leaned on Lucas Erceg as their closer, but Erceg owns a 5.06 ERA and 1.69 WHIP over 21.1 innings on the season and hasn't made a strong case for keeping the job once Estevez is activated.

Miles (2-0) was credited with the win in Tuesday's game against the Marlins, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out three across 4.1 innings.

Braydon Fisher opened Tuesday's game with a scoreless first inning before turning things over to Miles, who induced nine groundouts, with his lone blemish coming on an RBI infield single by Heriberto Hernandez. Miles has given up just one run over his last four outings, during which he's served either as the starter or bulk reliever. He's pitched well enough to get at least one more turn in the Blue Jays' rotation, especially after Dylan Cease (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday. Miles' next outing will likely take place this weekend on the road against the Orioles, though it's unclear whether he'll start or piggyback off a reliever.

Jax was diagnosed with a back contusion following his removal from Tuesday's game against Baltimore, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Jax was hit on the back by a 107.2-mph line drive in the second inning and was pulled when the Rays took the field for the third. His diagnosis suggests that he didn't suffer any structural damage as a result of the incident. However, the team will likely keep an eye on him over the next couple of days before confirming him for his next start -- tentatively slated to come against the Tigers on Monday.

Jax was removed from Tuesday's game against the Orioles after getting hit by a comebacker, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Jax took a 107.2-mph line drive off his back during the second inning of Tuesday's contest. He remained in the game immediately afterward and was able to finish the inning, but the Rays replaced him on the mound in the third. He'll presumably undergo testing to determine the severity of the damage done, and the Rays could have an update on his status in the near future.

Cabrera signed a minor-league contract with the Royals on Tuesday.

Cabrera had been on the market for about a week and a half after the Phillies released him earlier this month following a brutal outing at Triple-A Lehigh Valley in which he retired just one batter while allowing eight earned runs. The right-hander made 40 appearances in the majors in 2025 across stops with four different clubs, but despite getting another opportunity in the Royals organization, Cabrera has some work to do in the minors before getting another look in the big-league bullpen. He posted a 10.38 ERA and 1.81 WHIP over 17.1 innings with Lehigh Valley prior to being cut loose.
