Santiago was handed a 10-game suspension Tuesday for having a foreign substance on his glove during Sunday's game against the White Sox, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports. He will appeal and remain on the 26-man roster until the league makes a final decision.

Santiago became the first player to get ejected for a foreign substance under the new protocols. Per Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com, the league didn't inspect Santiago's glove after it was confiscated and the suspension was based purely on the umpires' report. The southpaw's appeal means that he'll remain on the 26-man roster for the time being, but if the ruling is upheld, Seattle will be forced to play a man down for 10 games.

Staumont (0-2) allowed a run on one hit and one walk with one strikeout in two innings, taking the loss versus Boston on Monday.

Staumont worked the fifth and sixth innings. He got through the former without yielding a run, but Hunter Renfroe belted a solo home run to give Boston its first lead of the game, which held up. Through seven outings in June, Staumont has yielded four runs in 8.1 innings, including two homers. He's posted a solid 3.19 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 34:17 K:BB across 31 innings. While he's picked up five saves and two holds, manager Mike Matheny seems to prefer Greg Holland for closing duties lately, although Kansas City's still very much in a committee situation in the ninth inning.

Lakins is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Astros, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.

Lakins will step in as the Orioles' No. 5 starter in place of Dean Kremer, who was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk after recording just one out while giving up six runs in his most recent start June 24. The Orioles turned to Lakins in lone relief in that game, and the right-hander was supremely effective, tossing four scoreless innings while permitting only one hit. Lakins, who will be celebrating his 27th birthday Tuesday, will be picking up his first start since 2019, when he was a member of the Red Sox. Since he only tossed 42 pitches in his last outing, Lakins likely won't be asked to work deep into Tuesday's start, so Alexander Wells could end up piggybacking him if the Orioles need a reliever to eat multiple innings.

The Royals are expected to recall Lovelady from Triple-A Omaha ahead of Tuesday's game in Boston, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Lovelady is poised to rejoin the Royals for the first time since mid-April. He allowed just one run on five hits and four walks while striking out nine in 8.1 innings over his seven appearances after coming off Omaha's 7-day injured list in early June. The 25-year-old lefty will likely be ticketed for lower-leverage work out of the Kansas City bullpen.

Cimber and Corey Dickerson were traded from Miami to Toronto on Tuesday in exchange for Joe Panik and an unnamed pitching prospect, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

The acquisition of Cimber gives the Blue Jays another competent bullpen arm. The 30-year-old righty has only struck out 15 percent of opposing batters this season but owns a 2.88 ERA in 34.1 innings, thanks in part to the fact that he hasn't given up a homer all year.

Morgan (1-2) allowed four runs on six hits while striking out four over five innings to pick up his first career win Monday against the Tigers.

Morgan didn't necessarily have a spectacular outing, but he did enough to walk away with a win. He allowed the Tigers to get on the board in the second when Miguel Cabrera led off the inning with a solo home run. The rookie gave up another run in the fourth and then surrendered a two-run blast to Jake Rogers in the fifth before his day came to a close. Morgan has allowed 17 earned runs over 16.1 innings, which comes out to a 9.37 ERA. He does have a 19:2 K:BB, but his time in the rotation is quickly dwindling with Zach Plesac (thumb) on the brink of activation from the injured list.

Wilson (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Tuesday's game against the Angels, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Wilson made his third rehab appearance Sunday at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and he should rejoin the big-league club Tuesday. He's been sidelined since May 28 due to a right hamstring strain after getting off to a shaky start in 2021, accruing a 6.08 ERA and 1.43 WHIP with a 12:6 K:BB across 13.1 innings.

Barnes tossed a perfect ninth inning to earn a save over the Royals on Monday.

Barnes didn't record a strikeout but needed just 10 pitches to finish off the 6-5 win. He's converted his last three save chances after blowing the previous two, making him17-for-20 on the year. The 31-year-old owns a 2.73 ERA and a 54:9 K:BB.

King (0-4) allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks over 4.1 innings Monday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Angels.

King got into trouble right from the start Monday, serving up a solo shot to Shohei Ohtani and an RBI double to Jared Walsh in the first inning. He was later tagged with an unearned run after he was pulled in the fifth inning. The 26-year-old righty hasn't finished five innings in any of his last four outings and he's still searching for his first win of the season. King owns a 4.06 ERA through 44.1 innings. He's lined up to face the Mets at home this weekend.

Iglesias recorded three strikeouts in a perfect ninth inning Monday and earned a save over the Yankees.

Iglesias rolled right through the middle of the Yankees' order Monday, striking out Giancarlo Stanton, Luke Voit and Gleyber Torres on 15 pitches. After a rocky stretch where he allowed five runs in four appearances, the 31-year-old has 10 strikeouts over 4.1 perfect frames in his last three outings. He owns a 3.74 ERA with an impressive 53:7 K:BB.
