Robles picked up the save against the Athletics on Tuesday, giving up one hit in a scoreless ninth inning to close out a 3-2 victory for the Angels. He struck out one and walked none.

Tasked with protecting a one-run lead, Robles yielded a hit, but managed to work around it to close out Oakland and pick up his 23rd save of the season in 26 chances. The 29-year-old has put together a great year as the primary ninth-inning option for the Angels, posting a 2.26 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 73:16 K:BB across 71.2 innings.

Peters (4-3) got the win against the Athletics on Tuesday, giving up two earned runs on five hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one in the Angels' 3-2 victory.

The 27-year-old gave up a two-run homer to Khris Davis in the fourth inning, but turned in a solid outing aside from that on his way to his fourth win of the year. The outing gives Peters a 4.72 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 53:24 K:BB in 2019. He's scheduled to make one more start before the end of the regular season, Sunday in a home matchup against the Astros.

Loaisiga will start Wednesday's game against the Rays, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.

Chad Green was slated to open Wednesday's game, but he was used in Tuesday's extra-innings affair. Loaisiga has thrown exactly two innings in each of his last three outings, and he will likely get around six outs Wednesday. J.A. Happ is a strong option to serve as the primary pitcher.

Rogers struck out one without allowing a baserunner in the ninth inning to record the save Tuesday against the Tigers.

Rogers needed only 12 pitches to record his 29th save of the season. Three days after being tagged for three earned runs, Rogers bounced back to record his eighth scoreless effort in his last 10 appearances. For the season, he now owns a 2.65 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 89 strikeouts across 68 innings.

Trivino has a cracked rib and will not return this season, Shayna Rubin of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Oblique and rib injuries that he suffered off the field will result in the end of Trivino's season. He finishes the year with a 5.25 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 57 strikeouts in 60 innings.

Treinen (back) will not pitch in any postseason games, Shayna Rubin of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

The issue is serious enough that the A's can already rule Treinen out for games that could take place weeks from now. However, given his struggles prior to the injury (4.91 ERA, 1.62 WHIP in 58.2 innings), this seems like a common sense move even if he were medically cleared.

Santiago will serve as the primary pitcher Tuesday against the Indians, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Carson Fulmer will serve as the opener before giving way to Santiago. Since moving to the bullpen in August, Santiago has posted a 4.76 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and 14:9 K:BB across seven appearances (11.1 innings).

Fulmer will serve as the opener Tuesday against the Indians, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Fulmer will likely pitch one or two innings before giving way to left-hander Hector Santiago, who is expected to cover the bulk of the innings. In five appearances since the start of September, Fulmer owns a 4.70 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 4:3 K:BB in 7.2 innings.

Kay was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday against the Orioles due to back pain, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

It's unclear when Kay picked up the issue; he tested it out prior to Tuesday's game but the Blue Jays decided to play it safe with the 24-year-old lefty. With less than a week left in the season, it's not yet known whether Kay will appear again. In a trio of outings since being called up from the minors, Kay posted a 5.79 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 13:5 K:BB in 14 innings. The Blue Jays have yet to announce who will start in his place Tuesday.

Pagan was credited with his seventh hold in a win over the Red Sox on Monday, opening the ninth inning but retiring just one hitter and allowing two hits before being pulled.

Pagan was in line for his 21st save when he entered the game with the Rays holding a 7-4 lead. However, the right-hander allowed singles to Rafael Devers and Mookie Betts to open the frame, and although he was able to get J.D. Martinez to foul out, manager Kevin Cash opted to bring in Colin Poche to slam the door. Except for a hiccup against the Red Sox in the opener of the four-game series last Friday, Pagan has been solid in September, collecting four saves, one win and Monday's hold while generating a 2.61 ERA across 10.1 innings.
