Adams (shoulder) is feeling better according to manager Scott Servais, but he's yet to resume throwing, Sarah Wexler of MLB.com reports.

Adams just went on the injured list July 6, so the fact he's yet to pick up a baseball isn't overly concerning. The right-hander was diagnosed with a Grade 1 shoulder strain and could need several more days before starting a throwing program.

Sadzeck (elbow) is up to throwing from 120 feet at the team's spring training facility in Arizona, Sarah Wexler of MLB.com reports.

It's been a long road back for Sadzeck, who's been sidelined since June 4. If the reliever's throwing program continues without issue, he'll likely work a bullpen session in Arizona toward the end of the coming week.

Hendriks recorded a strikeout to close out Friday's 5-1 win over the White Sox, earning his sixth save of the year.

Reliever Joakim Soria was unable to work out of a ninth-inning mess, but Hendriks entered the contest and whiffed Yoan Moncada to secure the save. The 30-year-old is up to 64 strikeouts in 51 innings this season. His continued success is likely to keep him in the closer role while Blake Treinen is forced into setup duties for the time being.

Rogers allowed one hit while striking out three in two scoreless innings to pick up his 13th save Friday against the Indians.

He is obviously dominant against lefties, but Rogers has been excellent all season in a variety of high-leverage situations. It seems that he is taking the closing job and running with it in Minnesota, as Blake Parker's last save was on June 22. This was Rogers' fifth save of at least two innings this season.

Manaea (shoulder) will throw four innings in a rehab start Saturday with High-A Stockton, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

He gave up four runs on seven hits in 2.1 innings in his first rehab outing, and will be stretched out a little further in his second outing. Manaea could return to the big-league rotation at some point in late July or early August.

Covey (shoulder) will likely be activated to start Saturday's game against the A's, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

He has a 5.94 xFIP and almost as many walks (20) as strikeouts (22) through 37.1 innings this season, so there is not much fantasy appeal. Ross Detweiler will likely move to the bullpen upon Covey's activation.

Maton was traded to the Indians on Friday in exchange for international bonus pool allotments.

Maton is armed with a big fastball, but has not had much sustained success in the majors. He logged a 3.25 FIP in 47.1 innings in 2018, but has a career 5.02 ERA and logged a 7.77 ERA in 24.1 innings this season with the Padres. He should head to Triple-A initially before perhaps joining Cleveland's bullpen later this summer.

Soto has moved to the Tigers' bullpen for the time being, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

While McCosky says Soto has been moved to the bullpen "for now", it is unclear who the Tigers' fifth starter will be. If Soto is not used in any of Detroit's first four games of the second half, he could still theoretically start July 16 in Cleveland. Regardless of his role, Soto is pretty unappealing in all formats. Ryan Carpenter, who has been pitching fairly well recently at Triple-A, would line up to make that start if Detroit opts to call upon a minor-league starter.

Betances (lat) is scheduled to begin his throwing program Monday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Manager Aaron Boone previously said he expected Betances to resume throwing last week, but he ended up requiring a bit more rehab work. The 31-year-old was shut down in mid-June with the right lat strain while rehabbing from a right shoulder impingement, and he'll likely spend most of July building up his arm strength given his season-long absence.

Yarbrough is expected to be promoted from Triple-A Durham for either Sunday's game against the Orioles or Tuesday's contest versus the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The southpaw has put in time with both the Bulls and the Rays this season, and he's made 14 appearances (four starts) overall at the big-league level. Yarbrough was just sent back down to the farm July 2, but the Rays will apparently bring him back into the fold just a handful of days into the second half of the season. The 27-year-old has helped fill in as both a primary pitcher and traditional starter this season, and it remains to be seen in what capacity he'd be deployed in his first post-All-Star-break appearance.
