De Leon (elbow) recorded nine strikeouts and allowed four earned runs on seven hits, a walk and a wild pitch over 4.2 innings, taking the loss for Triple-A Durham against Charlotte on Monday.

As his final line implies, De Leon's night was a mixed bag. However, one of the positives besides his nine strikeouts was that he worked up to 83 pitches. Monday's outing was De Leon's 10th overall in his rehab assignment, and he encouragingly managed to build on the seven whiffs he'd recorded his previous time out last Tuesday against Charlotte as well. De Leon's potential activation date remains unclear, but given his pitch count against the Knights, he's pretty well stretched out at this point.

Treinen (shoulder) was credited with a victory but also charged with a blown save during Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Reno on Monday, allowing three earned runs on four hits over an inning and recording no walks or strikeouts.

Treinen fired 20 pitches overall during his eventful frame, getting 15 into the strike zone. However, he allowed a pair of home runs to Wyatt Mathisen and Kevin Cron, which led to the bloated line. Despite his struggles, the veteran reliever is expected to be activated when first eligible Wednesday.

Alvarado gave up one hit and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to record his seventh save in a 6-3 win over the Orioles on Monday.

After getting two quick outs to start the ninth inning, Alvarado gave up a double to make things interesting, but he struck out Anthony Santander to nail down the save. The left-hander was used in a save situation for the first time since his return from the restricted list June 29. Alvarado has a 3.20 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP in 28 appearances this season.

Yarbrough pitched three innings, giving up one run on four hits with three strikeouts and two walks in a no-decision against the Orioles on Monday.

Yarbrough entered the game after Ryne Stanek pitched two scoreless innings as an opener. The left-hander has been on an impressive run lately with a 24:3 K:BB in his last 28.2 innings. Although it's unclear if Yarbrough will be the starter or follow an opener, he is expected to pitch Sunday against the Yankees at Tropicana Field.

Mata was promoted to Double-A Portland on Monday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Mata spent a month on the injured list with a right shoulder strain, but when healthy this season he's been lights out for High-A Salem with a 1.75 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 52:10 K:BB in 10 starts. The 20-year-old has shown in the lower minors why he's a highly-touted prospect, and he's likely to remain at Portland for the second half of the season.

Kelley will be called up from Triple-A Pawtucket on Tuesday.

Kelley had a 0.96 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 34:12 K:BB over 37.2 innings at Pawtucket this season. The 25-year-old figures to start out in a low-leverage role, but he could see higher-leverage chances with a good first impression given Boston's bullpen issues.

Miller was designated for assignment by the Rangers on Monday, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Miller began the season as a starter but had a 9.51 ERA in eight outings before moving to the bullpen in mid-May. The last six weeks haven't gone significantly better for the 28-year-old with 14 runs allowed (11 earned) across 14.2 innings as a reliever. Jesse Biddle -- who was claimed off waivers Friday -- was added to the active roster in a corresponding move.

Manager Ron Gardenhire said that Soto would receive another turn in Detroit's rotation before the All-Star break, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports. "He's going to be here," Gardenhire said of the left-hander. "He'll get another start [probably Thursday in Chicago]. We've got a lot of games coming up here."

Soto was called up from Triple-A Toledo to start Sunday's series finale with the Nationals and didn't do much to impress, lasting only 3.2 innings and giving up three runs on four hits and one walk. Gardenhire noted that he came away from the outing happy with Soto's fastball -- he was clocked in the 96-to-98 mile-per-hour range in the first inning -- so that looks like it'll be enough for the southpaw to pick up his seventh big-league start. Even though Soto sports an 8.44 ERA and 1.88 WHIP thus far with the Tigers, the organization doesn't really have many appealing alternatives for the back end of the rotation unless it's willing to start top prospect Matt Manning's MLB service clock.

Norris (groin/finger) is listed as the Tigers' scheduled starter for the front end of Wednesday's doubleheader with the White Sox.

Norris' inclusion on Detroit's pitching schedule for the final week before the All-Star break suggests the team has no concerns about his health after he was pulled early in his most recent start Friday against the Nationals due to groin cramping and a finger injury. He'll return to the mound on his normal four days' rest in search of his first win in 10 starts. Over his preceding nine turns, Norris has gone 0-6 with a 5.29 ERA and 1.35 WHIP.

Stanek will serve as the Rays' opening pitcher Monday against the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The right-hander isn't expected to work more than two innings before giving way to bulk reliever Ryan Yarbrough. Over his 23 turns as an opener this season, Stanek has posted a 2.25 ERA in 36 innings while limiting opposing hitters to a .260 wOBA.
