Michael Fulmer RP | NYY
Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Strikes out seven but falters in sixth Monday
Fulmer struck out seven but allowed five runs on four hits and three walks through 5.2 innings in a no-decision Monday against Texas.
Fulmer's only blemish through five frames was a Nomar Mazara home run in the second inning, but he was undone in the sixth as he couldn't handle the third time through the order. The four-run frame included a walk and a pair of doubles. Entering Monday's contest, hitters were 13-for-36 (.361) with a walk, a double and a home run when facing Fulmer for the third time. The necessary endurance and deception to get through the lineup a third time is often one of the toughest hurdles for young pitchers to get over, but Fulmer will have to do it if he wants to take the next step. He'll get another chance Sunday against the Mariners.

Matt Moore RP | BOS
Rangers' Matt Moore: Knocked around for five runs by Tigers
Moore allowed five runs on nine hits and two walks with five strikeouts through 5.2 innings in a no-decision Monday against Detroit.
It wasn't as bad as his brutal 10-run outing last start against Cleveland, but Moore just can't keep the ball in the yard. He surrendered his fifth home run of the year to Leonys Martin, the nail in Moore's coffin in the sixth inning. Moore was bailed out by the Rangers' offense Monday, but with a 7.71 ERA, his leash has to be getting short. He faces a tough task his next time out, as his next turn is scheduled for Sunday against the Astros.

Daniel Norris RP | CLE
Tigers' Daniel Norris: Will move to 60-day DL
Norris (groin) is expected to be transferred to the 60-day disabled list Tuesday.
Norris underwent groin surgery Thursday and is expected to miss anywhere from 8-to-12 weeks before making a return. After initially being placed on the 10-day disabled list, he will be moved to the 60-day DL on Tuesday. He made two starts for the Tigers prior to suffering the injury and owns a 0-2 record with a 5.87 ERA and 1.63 WHIP across 15.1 innings.

Hector Santiago RP | SEA
White Sox's Hector Santiago: Won't be skipped this week
Santiago is expected to take his regular turn in the rotation Saturday on the road against the Cubs, Phil Rogers of the Chicago Tribune reports.
The White Sox are beginning a stretch in which they have three off days over the next eight, which gives them an opportunity to skip one of their back end starters, but manger Rick Renteria plans to let Santiago and Carson Fulmer stay in order this weekend against the Cubs. Santiago was rocked in his previous outing, giving up eight runs on six hits and six walks in 3.1 innings.

Carson Fulmer RP | PIT
White Sox's Carson Fulmer: Will take turn this week
Fulmer is expected to take his turn in the rotation Friday at Wrigley Field against the Cubs, Phil Rogers of the Chicago Tribune reports.
The White Sox are in a stretch in which they have three off days over eight, but manager Rick Renteria plans for the rotation to stay in order. It would be an ideal time to skip a struggling starter like Fulmer after he permitted four home runs in his previous start, but fantasy owners should plan on the rookie and Hector Santiago taking their turns this weekend before James Shields pitches the finale against the Cubs.

Nate Pearson RP | KC
Blue Jays' Nate Pearson: Exits early Monday
Pearson left Monday's game for High-A Dunedin after taking a line drive in the arm.
Pearson was just added to High-A Dunedin's roster Monday after returning from an oblique injury. He was removed from the game after suffering an arm injury on a line drive back to the mound during the second inning, although it's unclear if he was hit on his pitching arm. Pearson allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and struck out one across 1.2 innings prior to exiting. More information on his status should surface after further evaluation.

Danny Farquhar RP | TB
White Sox's Danny Farquhar: Discharged from hospital
Farquhar (head) was discharged from the hospital Monday and is resting at home with his family.
Farquhar suffered a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm in the dugout during a game in mid-April. His neurosurgeon expects him to be able to pitch again in the future, but he's been officially ruled out for the remainder of the season in order to allow him to fully recover.

Nate Pearson RP | KC
Blue Jays' Nate Pearson: Back, healthy with full-season affiliate
Pearson (oblique) was added to High-A Dunedin's roster and will start Monday, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.
The 21-year-old junior college product has been out since early April with an oblique issue, but it seems like a bit of extra time at extended spring training was enough to get him back to 100 percent. Pearson will now join Dunedin's rotation after producing a stellar 0.95 ERA and 24:5 K:BB in 19 innings for Low-A Vancouver last season.

Luis Santos RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Luis Santos: Outrighted to Buffalo
Santos was outrighted to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday, MLB.com reports.
The reliever will remain in the Toronto organization after going unclaimed off waivers when he was dropped from the Blue Jays' 40-man roster earlier in the weekend. Santos made one appearance for the big club Thursday against the Indians, conceding six runs on five hits and three walks over 1.2 innings.

Stephen Gonsalves RP | LAD
Twins' Stephen Gonsalves: Wins weekly award
Gonsalves was named the International League pitcher of the week Monday, Brandon Warne of The Athletic Minnesota reports.
Gonsalves won the award after two stellar starts for Triple-A Rochester. In 14.1 innings, he allowed just one run on four hits and a pair of walks, striking out 14 batters. If he keeps up his strong performances, the 23-year-old could push for a big-league debut later this season.
