Ralston Cash RP | LAD
Angels' Ralston Cash: Signs minors deal with Angels
Cash signed a minor-league deal with the Angels on Wednesday, William Boor of MLB.com reports.
Cash spent all of the 2017 season at Double-A, posting a combined 4.96 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 65:20 K:BB across 49 innings of work. The 25-year-old will report to either Triple-A Salt Lake or Double-A Mobile to begin the 2018 season and serve as organizational pitching depth.

Warwick Saupold RP | DET
Tigers' Warwick Saupold: Cracks Opening Day roster
Saupold has made the Tigers' Opening Day roster.
As expected, Saupold will open the season in the big-league bullpen with fellow reliever Johnny Barbato (forearm) set to open the season on the disabled list. The 28-year-old, who posted a 4.88 ERA across 62.2 innings with the Tigers in 2017, is expected to fill a long-relief role.

Caleb Thielbar RP | CHC
Tigers' Caleb Thielbar: Reassigned to minors
Thielbar has been reassigned to minor-league camp.
Thielbar will serve as organizational pitching depth for the Tigers this season after failing to secure a spot in the team's Opening Day bullpen. He hasn't pitched in the majors since 2015, spending the previous two seasons with the Saint Paul Knights of the Independent League (2.18 ERA across 91 innings).

Michael Fulmer RP | NYY
Tigers' Michael Fulmer: Scheduled to start second game of season
Fulmer is slated to start the Tigers' second game of the season on Saturday against the Pirates at home.
It was widely assumed that Fulmer would get the nod on Opening Day, but manager Ron Gardenhire turned to veteran Jordan Zimmermann instead. Regardless, Fulmer is clearly the most talented starter on Detroit's staff, and after posting a 2.12 ERA this spring, he looks ready to be a strong fantasy contributor this season.

Casey Lawrence RP | SEA
Mariners' Casey Lawrence: Has contract selected
Lawrence had his contract selected by the Mariners on Wednesday, TJ Cotterill of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Lawrence earned a spot in the Mariners' Opening Day bullpen after compiling a 1.80 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 17 strikeouts in 15 Cactus League frames. He's expected to operate as a long reliever, and seeing as the Mariners haven't named a fifth at this point, he could step up and claim that role if he impresses out of the bullpen early in the season.

Brian Johnson RP | BOS
Red Sox's Brian Johnson: Starting fifth game
Johnson is scheduled to start the fifth game of the season, April 2, on the road against the Marlins.
Johnson emerged with a dominant spring and was a no-brainer to take a temporary spot in a rotation beset with injuries. The 27-year-old left-hander has rediscovered impeccable command of a low-90s fastball and advanced curveball. He'll eventually land in the bullpen when the injured starters come back, but he can get big-league hitters out and will stick around.
-
Matt Moore RP | BOS
Rangers' Matt Moore: Slated for third game
Moore is scheduled to start the third game of the season, March 31, at home against the Astros.
Moore will be making his regular-season debut for the Rangers, who acquired the left-hander from the Giants during the offseason. He's 3-0 with a 1.42 ERA in three career starts against Houston, although those outings occurred before the Astros' batting order became loaded with dangerous hitters.

Carson Fulmer RP | PIT
White Sox's Carson Fulmer: Will start fifth game
Fulmer is scheduled to start the fifth game of the season, April 3, against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
Fulmer salvaged a horrible spring with a pair of decent outings in his final two starts. He struggled mightily with command and home runs and nearly lost the No. 5 starter job, but the White Sox were inclined to give the right-hander a chance despite getting battered. As a team in rebuild mode, Chicago can afford to be patient with the rookie. He's hoping to build off a strong finish last year, when he posted a 1.56 ERA and 16 strikeouts in 17.1 innings over his final four starts.
-
Hector Santiago RP | SEA
White Sox's Hector Santiago: Contract purchased by White Sox
The White Sox purchased the contract of Santiago on Tuesday.
Santiago will open the season in a long-relief role after losing out to Carson Fulmer for the team's No. 5 starter job. The veteran southpaw posted a 5.63 ERA across 70.1 innings with the Twins last season. He'll be an option to spot start should an opportunity arise.

Jose De Leon RP | BOS
Rays' Jose De Leon: Hits 10-day DL
The Rays placed De Leon (elbow) on the 10-day disabled list Wednesday.
De Leon underwent Tommy John surgery in March and will miss the rest of the season, so it seems inevitable that he'll be moved to 60-day DL the next time the Rays need to open up a 40-man roster spot. The 25-year-old likely won't be cleared to resume throwing off flat ground until the offseason and may not be ready to go by the time the 2019 campaign opens.
