Jakob Junis RP | TEX
Royals' Jake Junis: Tagged for six runs Monday
Junis (8-3) took the loss after allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk in 5.2 innings Monday against the Yankees. He struck out four batters.
Junis was hit hard in this one, as five of the seven hits he conceded went for extra bases, including homers by Aaron Judge and Greg Bird. It was a rare blowup for Junis, as Monday marked the first time since June 29 that the 25-year-old allowed more than three runs in a start; he put together a 2.42 ERA and 38:5 K:BB across eight starts (48.1 innings) over that stretch. Junis will look to get back on track and finish his rookie season on a high note, with his final start lined up for Saturday against Arizona. Seeing as the the Diamondbacks have already clinched home-field advantage in the NL wild-card game, they may end up resting some regular starters.

Sean Manaea SP | NYM
Athletics' Sean Manaea: Slated to start Thursday
Manaea (back) will make his final start of the season Thursday against the Rangers, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Manaea was scratched from his start over the weekend due to upper back tightness, but it was never expect to end his season. The 25-year-old was cleared to rejoin the starting rotation for one final start after tossing a successful bullpen session Monday. He owns a 4.56 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 152 innings this season.

Carson Fulmer RP | PIT
White Sox's Carson Fulmer: Start pushed to Saturday
Fulmer (finger) will start Saturday against the Indians, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
Fulmer exited his last start after just 20 pitches due to a blister on his right index finger, and while he was hoping to make his next start on schedule, the issue is still bothersome enough to push his outing back. The 23-year-old is no longer lined up for two starts before the end of the regular season, as Chris Volstad is expected to start in his place Tuesday. Fulmer, who's compiled a 4.42 ERA and 17:11 K:BB in 18.1 innings with the White Sox, will be making his last start of the season Saturday.

Carson Fulmer RP | PIT
White Sox's Carson Fulmer: Wants to start Tuesday
Fulmer (finger) said he wants to make his next start Tuesday, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
Fulmer exited his last start after just 20 pitches due to a blister on his right index finger. He was able to throw a successful bullpen session Sunday, and it appears he may not be forced to miss a turn in the rotation if he checks out fine prior to Tuesday's game. Still, the White Sox haven't listed a starter, and seeing as they're already out of playoff contention, they may decide to play it safe with Fulmer if he isn't 100 percent.

Alan Busenitz RP | CIN
Twins' Alan Busenitz: Tosses scoreless inning
Busenitz allowed one hit while striking out one in a scoreless inning Sunday against the Tigers.
Busenitz has been phenomenal in 30 innings with the Twins this year, earning himself a 1.50 ERA. The young right-hander has enjoyed great success against right-handed hitters, allowing a batting average of .177. He has been used mostly in low-leverage situations, but he could be in line to see some key innings during the final games of the season as he continues to establish himself in the Minnesota bullpen.

Craig Kimbrel RP | KC
Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Earns 35th save with spotless inning
Kimbrel struck out one in a clean inning of work to earn his 35th save of the season Sunday against the Reds.
Kimbrel pumped in 11 of 17 pitches for strikes as he comfortably retired the side in order. He's thrown 11 straight scoreless outings to lower his ERA to a stellar 1.34, in addition to a remarkable 16.4 K/9.

Ricardo Rodriguez RP | TEX
Rangers' Ricardo Rodriguez: Finishes out sixth inning
Rodriguez retired the lone batter he faced in a three-pitch at-bat in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Athletics.
Rodriguez was able to strand a runner at second base with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning, but with the Athletics holding a 7-0 lead at the time, it was far from a crucial situation. The young fireballer made a quick impact in his first taste of the big leagues by notching a save in his fifth MLB appearance, but since that time, he's looked the part of a 25-year-old who has spent much of the campaign at the Double-A level. He's been tagged for eight runs in six innings over his last nine outings, which has resulted in him falling out of the Rangers' setup ranks.

Buck Farmer RP | CIN
Tigers' Buck Farmer: Struggles continue Sunday
Farmer (4-5) took the loss in Sunday's game against the Twins. He allowed five runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out five over five innings.
Following Sunday's ugly performance, Farmer has now allowed 13 earned runs over his previous three starts. The 26-year-old got off to a strong start with the Tigers this season -- tossing 13 scoreless innings in his first two outings -- but has now failed to record a quality start in each of his past eight appearances. He lines up for another start against the Twins on Saturday but should be kept out of fantasy lineups for the remainder of the season.

Jeff Ferrell RP | DET
Tigers' Jeff Ferrell: Has resumed throwing
Ferrell (concussion) threw Saturday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
In addition to Saturday's workout, Ferrell threw Friday as well. While it's a step in the right direction that he's been able to throw, specific details regarding the intensity of his recent workouts are unknown. Ferrell has been under concussion protocol since Sept. 19, but the team is still entertaining the possibility of him pitching again before the season ends.

Blake Treinen RP | LAD
Athletics' Blake Treinen: Locks down another save Saturday
Treinen worked around a hit to record his 14th save of the season Saturday against the Rangers. He struck out two batters.
Treinen continues to be a pleasant surprise as Oakland's closer choice, saving his second game of the weekend. The right-hander boasts a 2.31 ERA and has converted 11 of 14 save conversions in 35 innings since the A's acquired him.
