Alex Colome RP | CHW
Rays' Alex Colome: Notches 46th save Saturday
Colome retired the only batter he faced to earn his 46th save Saturday against the Orioles.
The Rays had an eight-run lead to start the ninth inning, but after six runs crossed the plate, Colome was called upon to close out the contest, which he did on two pitches. Even though he's blown six saves, he's an elite fantasy option with 46 saves and a 3.17 ERA.

Dylan Covey RP | ATL
White Sox's Dylan Covey: Loses seventh straight decision
Covey (0-7) allowed three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out three batters over six innings to take the loss against Kansas City on Saturday.
After a stint pitching out of the bullpen, Covey has started each of his last three appearances and has allowed 12 runs over 15.1 innings in that span. However, it's worth noting that the 26-year-old righty was clearly better Saturday than he was in his previous two outings. Covey's 7.83 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 5.0 K/9 makes him a high-risk fantasy option for his next projected start against the Angels at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Sean Manaea SP | NYM
Athletics' Sean Manaea: Scratched from Saturday start
Manaea was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday against the Rangers with a minor back issue, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The good news is the ailment doesn't appear to be anything overly serious: The club later characterized the issue as "upper-back tightness." Manaea is hoping to make his final start of the season next week. Raul Alcantara will step in to start Saturday in his place.

Tony Zych RP | NYY
Mariners' Tony Zych: Shut down for season
Manager Scott Servais said Zych (elbow) has been shut down from throwing, effectively ruling him out for the remainder of the regular season, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
Zych has been sidelined since Aug. 20 with a right elbow flexor bundle strain. He was pushing to return before the end of the regular season, but after experiencing renewed soreness during recent bullpen sessions, the Mariners decided to play it safe and shut him down for the rest of the season. He compiled a healthy 2.66 ERA in 40.2 innings out of the Mariners' bullpen before injuring himself. With Zych out, look for Nick Vincent, Emilio Pagan and James Pazos to get the ball to Edwin Diaz in the ninth inning down the stretch.

Blake Treinen RP | LAD
Athletics' Blake Treinen: Notches 13th save Friday
Treinen gave up two hits and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to collect his 13th save of the season in a 4-1 win over the Rangers.
He's put his early-September struggles behind him, converting three straight save chances and lowering his ERA on the month to 3.60. Treinen's strikeout rate and BABIP have both improved since coming over to Oakland, and he'll head into the offseason as the favorite to open 2018 as the A's closer.

Kendall Graveman RP | ARI
Athletics' Kendall Graveman: Stifles Rangers on Friday
Graveman (6-4) picked up the win over the Rangers on Friday, allowing only one run on six hits and three walks over seven innings while striking out four.
The righty's now put together a tidy 2.70 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 20 innings this month despite a lackluster 10:8 K:BB. Graveman will take a 4.17 ERA into his final start of the season Wednesday at home against the Mariners.
-
Nick Martinez SP | TB
Rangers' Nick Martinez: Takes loss despite quality start Friday
Martinez (3-7) took the loss against the A's on Friday, giving up four runs (three earned) on five hits and a walk over six innings.
He eked out his first quality start in September and his seventh of the season. Martinez's 5.42 ERA and 5.5 K/9 have made him a liability in most fantasy formats, but he'll still take the mound one more time this season at home against the Astros on Wednesday.

Craig Kimbrel RP | KC
Red Sox's Craig Kimbrel: Notches 34th save of 2017 on Friday
Kimbrel pitched a scoreless inning on one hit to earn his 34th save of the season Friday against the Reds.
Kimbrel was protecting a one-run lead, and despite giving up a hit, was able to close out the contest on just eight pitches. With a microscopic 1.36 ERA on the season, he continues to be one of the elite closers in the majors.
-
Reynaldo Lopez RP | ATL
White Sox's Reynaldo Lopez: Tops Royals despite allowing 10 hits
Lopez (3-3) allowed six runs -- only two earned -- on 10 hits without walking or striking out a batter through 6.1 innings to take the win against Kansas City.
Lopez has been underwhelming through his seven starts this season with a 4.54 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 5.0 K/9. Pitching for a basement-dwelling club without moving the strikeout needle is a poor recipe for fantasy success. Lopez lines up to make his final start of the year at home against the Angels.

Ken Giles RP | ATL
Astros' Ken Giles: Picks up 33rd save
Giles pitched a scoreless ninth inning to collect his 33rd save of the season during Friday's win over the Angels.
Giles has now pitched six scoreless innings over his past six appearances to improve to an impressive 2.37 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 82 strikeouts through 60.2 innings for the campaign. He's converted 33 of his 37 save opportunities and projects to remain a high-end reliever in all fantasy settings closing out games for the Astros.
