Sean Manaea SP | NYM
Athletics' Sean Manaea: Could have rehab assignment extended
Manaea (shoulder) may need to throw one more rehab game before coming off the DL, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
Manaea was solid during Tuesday's rehab start at Triple-A Nashville. Over four innings he allowed just one run and struck out five batters. Manager Bob Melvin reported that Manaea felt good during Tuesday's outing, but it's possible that the club will want him to throw in one more game before bringing him off the DL.

John Axford RP | MIL
Athletics' John Axford: Heading on rehab assignment Saturday
Axford (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment Saturday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
The A's haven't specified which of their affiliates Axford will be sent to for his upcoming assignment, but more news should be available soon. Axford threw 21 pitches as part of live batting practice Wednesday and figures to slot into Oakland's bullpen once he's back in full health.

Jakob Junis RP | TEX
Royals' Jake Junis: Earns first career win
Junis walked a pair -- one of which was intentional -- and struck out two over a scoreless inning to earn his first career victory Monday in Tampa Bay.
The 24-year-old right-hander picked up the win just hours after being recalled Tuesday. Junis danced around a leadoff walk like a veteran, suggesting he's ready to handle himself in the bigs. After the second batter of the 11th inning laid down a successful sacrifice bunt, Junis intentionally walked Corey Dickerson to set up a potential double play. Rather than induce a grounder, the rookie proceeded to strike out two of the Rays' most dangerous hitters -- Brad Miller and Evan Longoria. Whether Junis sticks around remains to be seen, but it's likely the organization would rather continue developing him as a starter at Triple-A Omaha than work out of the Royals bullpen.

Ashur Tolliver RP | SEA
Astros' Ashur Tolliver: Back from abdominal injury
Tolliver (abdomen) has returned to action for Triple-A Fresno and has a 2.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 7:8 K:BB in nine innings out of the bullpen.
He missed a couple weeks with abdominal soreness and has excelled at preventing runs since returning. However, his 20 percent walk rate is pretty alarming, and he will need to get his control ironed out before returning to the big leagues.

Donnie Hart RP | BAL
Orioles' Donnie Hart: In line for high-leverage work
Hart will play more of a setup role due to the ripple effect caused by closer Zach Britton (forearm) hitting the DL, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Hart has already benefitted this year from injuries to Orioles' relievers. The 26-year-old's five holds through 15 games are one more than his entire total in 2016 (22 games). For owners in leagues that value holds, Hart is a cheap source that won't be available much longer in such formats.

Daniel Mengden RP | KC
Athletics' Daniel Mengden: Solid in rehab start
Mengden (foot) allowed two earned runs on four hits over 3.2 innings in Monday's rehab start with Triple-A Nashville.
Mengden was reaching optimal velocity throughout the outing, hitting 91-95 mph on the radar gun on a a consistent basis. The right-hander is likely to stay with Nashville after he's activated from the DL, but could receive a call-up down the line after making 14 starts for the A's last season.

Chad Green RP | TOR
Yankees' Chad Green: Optioned to Triple-A
Green was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.
Green pitched a scoreless inning in relief in Tuesday's loss to the Reds, striking out two batters in his first appearance with the Yankees this season. The left-hander could be first in line for a promotion back to the big leagues if an opening in the rotation arises, but the Yankees have enjoyed sound health from all five of their starters to this point.

Justin Wilson RP | BOS
Tigers' Justin Wilson: Pitches clean ninth Tuesday
Wilson struck out one in a perfect ninth inning during Tuesday's 7-3 win over the Diamondbacks.
An insurance run in the top of the ninth denied Wilson his first save opportunity since officially being named the Tigers closer, but the left-hander still looked impressive. Expect the saves to begin rolling in soon enough for the 29-year-old, who's averaging a career-high 96.4 mph with his fastball.

Dylan Covey RP | ATL
White Sox's Dylan Covey: Will make next start
Covey, who has an 8.28 ERA over five starts, will make his next start expected Saturday against the Padres, Paul Skrbina of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Manager Rick Renteria wasn't committing to Covey taking his next turn in the rotation immediately after the right-hander allowed six runs and 10 hits in his start last Saturday. With Carlos Rodon (biceps) still on a mound in Arizona and James Shields (shoulder) not having pitched since April 16, immediate help is not on the way, so Covey will get another opportunity.

Hector Santiago RP | SEA
Twins' Hector Santiago: Pockets fourth win despite control issues Tuesday
Santiago (4-1) allowed two runs on three hits and five walks while striking out six over 6.2 innings in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the White Sox.
The left-hander has now walked 12 batters in his last 17.2 innings, a worrying sign, but so far he's been able to escape any serious damage. Santiago will next take the mound Sunday in Cleveland against an Indians squad that sits 25th in wOBA (.286) against southpaws.
