The team has not confirmed if Pomeranz will be forced to miss his next start, but it does not appear this injury as all too serious at this time.
"We're going to have him looked at," manager Bob Melvin said to Bay Area News Group. "We'll probably make a decision on where we are tomorrow. Obviously there’s a chance he will go on the DL.
"This is something that’s been going on for a while, and we don't want it to continue to go on, but we haven’t made a definitive decision."

Brad Boxberger wants to stay Rays' closer despite Jake McGee's return
Reliever Jake McGee's stint on the disabled list for the season's first six weeks allowed Brad Boxberger to step in and assume the Rays' closer role, which he's excelled in with a 10-for-10 save record thus far, reports the Tampa Tribune.
“Boxer will be closing for a long time,” Rays reliever Kevin Jepsen said. “It fits him. That’s what he is. He’s a closer.”
With McGee's recent return from the DL, Boxberger said he wants to remain as the team's fireman.
“Absolutely,” Boxberger said. “I’m comfortable there right now. I feel like I’ve done a pretty good job there in that role, but with McGee coming back and everything he’s done, it will be interesting to see what they’re going to do.”
McGee led the Rays last year with 19 saves. -
