  • Noah Davis SP | PIT

Red Sox's Noah Davis: Links up with Boston on MiLB deal

The Red Sox signed Davis to a minor-league contract Saturday.

Davis broke the news himself on his Instagram account. The right-hander holds a 7.71 ERA and 43:23 K:BB over 51.1 innings covering parts of three seasons at the major-league level. Davis has experience as a starter and reliever and it's not clear what role Boston has planned for him, but he'll likely begin the 2025 season at Triple-A Worcester.

  • Robert Garcia RP | TEX

Rangers' Robert Garcia: Traded to Rangers

The Nationals traded Garcia to the Rangers on Sunday in exchange for Nathaniel Lowe, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Garcia appeared in 72 regular-season games for the Nationals in 2024 and finished with a 4.22 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 75:16 K:BB across 59.2 innings while notching 13 holds. Garcia gives the Rangers a high-leverage, left-handed option out of the bullpen for the 2025 campaign.

  • Austin Adams RP | BOS

Red Sox's Austin Adams: Inks minor-league deal with Boston

The Red Sox signed Adams (forearm) to a minor-league deal Sunday with an invitation to spring training, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Adams ended the 2024 regular season on the 15-day injured list due to right forearm tendinitis. He appeared in 56 games for the Athletics prior to the injury and registered a 3.92 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 53:23 K:BB over 41.1 innings. The 33-year-old right-hander has a chance to earn a regular spot in the Red Sox's rotation once he is fully healthy.

  • Fernando Cruz RP | NYY

Yankees' Fernando Cruz: Moving to Bronx

The Reds traded Cruz and Alex Jackson to the Yankees on Friday in exchange for Jose Trevino, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.

Cruz has spent two full seasons with the Reds, accumulating a 4.88 ERA and 1.27 WHIP alongside a 207:63 K:BB over 132.2 total innings. The 34-year-old righty has plenty of experience handling high-leverage situations, finishing 2024 with 23 holds, but he could be moved into a middle relief role if he continues to surrender runs at a high rate.

  • Hagen Danner RP | CIN

Blue Jays' Hagen Danner: DFA'd by Torotno

The Blue Jays designated Danner for assignment Friday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The move makes room on the 40-man roster for left-hander Josh Walker, who signed with the Blue Jays on Friday. Danner spent the entire 2024 regular season with Triple-A Buffalo, and across 33 appearances he posted a 3.15 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over 34.1 innings.

  • Owen White RP | CHW

Rangers' Owen White: Removed from 40-man roster

The Rangers designated White for assignment Friday.

The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for the signing of Hoby Milner. White was arguably the Rangers' top pitching prospect two years ago, but his stuff and results have backed up since then. He spent most of the 2024 season at Triple-A Round Rock, holding a 5.64 ERA and 87:48 K:BB over 99 innings. White is still just 25, so there could be interest via trade or waivers.

  • Matt Bowman RP | MIN

Orioles' Matt Bowman: Re-signs with Baltimore as NRI

The Orioles re-signed Bowman to a minor-league contract Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

He will earn $1.1 million if in the majors, with a chance for $400,000 more in incentives. Bowman finished last season with the Orioles -- his fourth club in 2024 -- and collected a 4.40 ERA and 24:13 K:BB over 30.2 innings across his four stops.

  • Hoby Milner RP | CHC

Rangers' Hoby Milner: Headed to Texas

The Rangers signed Milner to a one-year deal Thursday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports.

Milner will head to Texas after spending the last four seasons with the Brewers, most recently producing a 4.73 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 64 strikeouts over 64.2 innings in 61 appearances during 2024. The left-hander is just one season removed from a 2023 campaign in which he had an impressive 1.82 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 59 punchouts over 64.1 innings with the Brewers, and he'll look to get closer to that form in 2025 with the Rangers.

  • Codi Heuer RP | CLE

Rangers' Codi Heuer: Receives invite to spring training

The Rangers invited Heuer to spring training Thursday.

Heuer was not able to pitch in 2024 due to a fractured right elbow he suffered in 2023. He was only able to pitch in 12.2 inning during 2023 and he allowed 11 earned runs in his shortened season. The right-hander made his last MLB appearances in 2021, when he pitched for both Chicago teams. The veteran recorded a 4.28 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 61.1 innings that season.

  • Rangers' Nolan Hoffman: Signs with Texas

Hoffman signed a minor-league contract with the Rangers on Thursday and received an invitation to spring training.

Hoffman spent all of last season with the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate, where he finished with a 3.88 ERA and 1.74 WHIP with 77 strikeouts over 58 innings. The 27-year-old right-hander has yet to appear in an MLB game and is likely destined to remain in the minors to begin 2025.
