Mason Miller SP | SD
Athletics' Mason Miller: Locks down 11th save
Miller gave up a hit and a walk while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 11th save of the season in a 3-0 win over the Rays.
The flamethrowing righty continues to dominate. Miller has yet to blow a save in 2024, and his 52.8 percent strikeout rate is the highest in the majors among pitchers who have worked at least 20 innings. Trade rumors are swirling around him, not surprising given the state of the Oakland franchise, but Miller would likely be the best closing option for any team that acquired him. Through 24 innings this season, he sports a 1.88 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 47:7 K:BB.

Mitch Spence SP | KC
Athletics' Mitch Spence: Sharp in fourth win
Spence (4-2) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing only one hit and one walk over 5.1 scoreless innings in a 3-0 victory over the Rays. He struck out four.
A Rule 5 pick out of the Yankees' system this offseason, Spence has been impressive since moving into the rotation for the A's, delivering a 2.08 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB through 13 innings over three starts. The 26-year-old right-hander got stretched out to 98 pitches (61 strikes) Tuesday, and even once Oakland's staff gets healthier, Spence figures to remain in the rotation as long as he's producing strong results. He's set for a tough test in his next outing, a road start in Atlanta this weekend.

Ryne Stanek RP | STL
Mariners' Ryne Stanek: Picks up save No. 3
Stanek earned the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Astros after pitching a perfect ninth and striking out two.
Stanek got the call for the save opportunity with Andres Munoz unavailable having worked the previous two days. The former Astro would go on to strike out Alex Bregman and Jake Meyers before getting Jon Singleton to fly out to end the game. It was Stanek's third save of the year and his first since April 12 and he's now struck out six batters over his last three innings. For the year, the 32-year-old owns a 4.26 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 21:6 K:BB in 19 innings.

Brennan Bernardino RP | COL
Red Sox's Brennan Bernardino: Pivotal hold in win
Bernardino allowed one walk and struck out four over two scoreless innings to pick up a hold in Tuesday's 8-3 win over Baltimore.
The game was still tight when Bernardino extricated himself and starter Brayan Bello from a bases-loaded, none-out predicament in the sixth inning. After he loaded the bases with a walk to the first batter faced, the left-hander got a strikeout, a groundout to the pitcher and another strikeout to preserve Boston's 4-3 lead. Bernardino then pitched a perfect seventh inning before Boston's bats piled on insurance runs. It was a masterful performance from Bernardino, who has a 0.78 ERA and 0.83 WHIP over 20 appearances (23 innings).

Clay Holmes RP | NYM
Yankees' Clay Holmes: Takes blown save
Holmes allowed two hits in one-third of an inning, taking a blown save in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Angels.
Holmes inherited two runners from Luke Weaver and allowed both to score on a Taylor Ward double that flipped the Yankees' one-run lead to a one-run deficit. While he wasn't charged with either run, Holmes ended up taking his third blown save of the season, two of which have come in his last four outings. Despite the recent troubles, he's still at a 1.54 ERA and 26:6 K:BB this year, though his 1.24 WHIP is less encouraging. Holmes is still the Yankees' top closing option with 15 saves on the season.

Carlos Estevez RP | KC
Angels' Carlos Estevez: Secures save Tuesday
Estevez pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.
The Angels rallied ahead in the bottom of the eighth inning, and Estevez made the lead stand. The closer has allowed four runs (three earned) over 8.1 innings in May while adding three saves, one blown save and two losses. He's at a 4.76 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB over 17 innings this season, but he continues to operate in the closer role despite his shaky pitching.

Cade Smith P | CLE
Guardians' Cade Smith: Collects second win
Smith (2-0) allowed a hit and struck out three without walking a batter over 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the win Tuesday versus the Rockies.
Smith got the final out of the sixth inning and also pitched the seventh after the Guardians regained the lead. The rookie right-hander has an eight-inning scoreless streak going, and he's posted a 13:1 K:BB in that span while adding a save and three holds. Smith continues to see an increasing role in the late innings, one that he's earned by pitching to a 1.82 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 37:7 K:BB over 24.2 innings this season.

Kirby Yates RP | LAA
Rangers' Kirby Yates: Records eighth save
Yates allowed a hit and a walk while striking out two over one scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks.
This was Yates' first save since May 8, as opportunities have been few and far between for saves recently. He pitched four times between saves, allowing one run on two hits and three walks over three innings. The right-hander has eight saves, two holds, 0.90 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 25:10 K:BB over 20 innings this season.

Jhoan Duran RP | PHI
Twins' Jhoan Duran: Gets out of jam for eighth save
Duran picked up the save Tuesday against Kansas City, allowing two hits and no walks with a strikeout over one scoreless inning.
Duran surrendered a leadoff double to Salvador Perez and then a single to Adam Frazier, putting runners on the corners with no outs in the ninth. However, pinch-runner Dairon Blanco was caught stealing second and Duran retired MJ Melendez and Nick Loftin to keep the Royals off the scoreboard. After taking back-to-back losses in the middle of May, Duran has rebounded with five straight saves, yielding one earned run across 4.1 innings.

Elijah Morgan RP | KC
Guardians' Eli Morgan: Activated from IL
The Guardians reinstated Morgan (shoulder) from the injured list Tuesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
Morgan landed on the injured list in mid-April due to right shoulder inflammation and began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Columbus on May 4. Since then, he's posted a 3.24 ERA and 1.08 WHIP across 8.1 innings while striking out nine batters and walking six. The 28-year-old righty had been one of the more reliable members of Cleveland's bullpen before getting injured, though he figures to pitch in middle relief now that he's healthy. Xzavion Curry was optioned to Columbus in a corresponding move.
