Jose Marte RP | LAA
Angels' Jose Marte: Back with Halos
Marte signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Monday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Marte was non-tendered by Los Angeles in November, and he'll now return to the organization on a minor-league deal for the 2024 season. The right-hander figures to provide bullpen depth as needed, though he's struggled to find his footing in the big leagues so far in his career.

Dillon Tate RP | TOR
Orioles' Dillon Tate: Healthy, throwing this winter
Tate is healthy and participating in a normal throwing program this offseason, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
Tate was limited to just 13 rehab appearances this season because of a right forearm issue, but the Orioles are confident the reliever has finally put the injury behind him. A healthy Tate -- who posted a 3.05 ERA over 67 relief appearances in 2022 -- could provide a big boost to a Baltimore bullpen which will be without Felix Bautista (elbow) in 2024.

Jackson Kowar RP | BAL
Mariners' Jackson Kowar: Shipped to Seattle
Kowar and Cole Phillips (elbow) were traded from Atlanta to Seattle on Sunday in exchange for Jarred Kelenic, Marco Gonzales and Evan White, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Kowar was traded from Kansas City to Atlanta in mid-November, and he'll be on the move once again as the Winter Meetings get underway. The 27-year-old was once a highly-regarded prospect, but he's largely struggled in the big leagues. Over 39 appearances (eight starts), he's posted a 9.12 ERA and 2.09 WHIP in 74 innings. If he earns a spot on Seattle's Opening Day roster in 2024, it's possible he has to settle for a role as a long reliever early in the year.

Ronny Henriquez RP | MIA
Twins' Ronny Henriquez: Re-signs with Minnesota
Henriquez signed a minor-league contract with the Twins on Nov. 19.
Henriquez was briefly a free agent after being non-tendered by Minnesota but wound up re-signing. The 23-year-old got into three games with the Twins in 2022 but spent all of 2023 in the minors, collecting a 5.68 ERA and 49:36 K:BB over 57 frames for Triple-A St. Paul.

Nicholas Padilla RP | PHI
White Sox's Nicholas Padilla: Outrighted to Triple-A
The White Sox outrighted Padilla to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Padilla allowed three earned runs over just 4.2 major-league innings in 2023 and also struggled to a 5.52 ERA across 44 relief appearances at the Triple-A level. The 26-year-old right-hander is no longer part of the 40-man roster in Chicago.

Jaime Barria RP | CLE
Guardians' Jaime Barria: Finds work with Guardians
Barria signed a minor-league contract with the Guardians on Wednesday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
Barria rejected an outright assignment from the Angels and became a free agent earlier in the offseason, and he'll now attempt to carve out a role for himself with the Guardians. The 27-year-old righty posted a 5.68 ERA and 1.47 WHIP last year -- a sharp decline from his 2.61 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in 2022. Barria's deal includes an invitation to major-league spring training, and a good spring could be enough for him to earn a spot in Cleveland's Opening Day bullpen.

Garrett Hill RP | DET
Tigers' Garrett Hill: Re-signs with Tigers
The Tigers re-signed Hill to a minor-league contract Sunday.
Hill was non-tendered by Detroit earlier this month but will remain in the organization. It's not clear whether he was given an invitation to the major-league side of spring training as part of the deal. Hill was torched for 20 runs (16 earned) over 15.2 major-league innings in 2023.

Wyatt Mills RP | LAD
Red Sox's Wyatt Mills: Rejoins Boston
Mills (elbow) signed a two-year, minor-league contract with the Red Sox on Sunday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.
Mills was non-tendered by the Red Sox in mid-November but will rejoin the organization a few weeks later on a minor-league deal. However, he underwent Tommy John surgery in July and will be sidelined for most of the 2024 campaign.

Ryan Jensen RP | MIN
Mariners' Ryan Jensen: Dropped from 40-man roster
Jensen was designated for assignment by the Mariners on Wednesday.
Seattle had to free up a 40-man roster spot after acquiring both Seby Zavala and Carlos Vargas from the Diamondbacks on Wednesday in exchange for Eugenio Suarez. Jensen, 25, struggled to a 5.32 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in 64.1 innings of work this past year between Double-A and Triple-A. He's yet to appear in a major-league game.
