Raisel Iglesias RP | ATL
Braves' Raisel Iglesias: Secures extra-inning win
Iglesias (3-2) earned the win Thursday in Philadelphia after he struck out one and didn't allow a baserunner in a scoreless ninth inning.
The veteran right-hander delivered a perfect top of the ninth to preserve a scoreless tie, and he picked up the win since Atlanta outscored Philadelphia 5-1 during the extra frame. Iglesias had been scored upon in three of his previous four outings, so a clean inning Thursday was a welcome sight. He has a 4.12 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 24:6 K:BB over 19.2 innings this year and remains the club's primary closer.

Vinny Nittoli RP | BOS
Mets' Vinny Nittoli: Promotion incoming
The Mets will promote Nittoli from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
The Mets acquired Nittoli in a trade with the Cubs earlier this month, and now New York will call on him to help bolster its bullpen. The 32-year-old reliever holds a 3.81 ERA and 1.15 WHIP across 26 innings in Triple-A this season and threw two scoreless innings in the majors with Philadelphia last year.

Matt Barnes RP | WAS
Marlins' Matt Barnes: Throws bullpen session
Barnes (hip) threw a bullpen session Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Thursday marks Barnes' first bullpen session since landing on the injured list June 2 with a left hip impingement. He'll presumably throw another few sessions before beginning a rehab assignment in the coming weeks.

Sean Hjelle RP | SF
Giants' Sean Hjelle: Sent to Triple-A
Hjelle was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday.
He had an effective appearance Wednesday against the Padres, logging four scoreless innings while striking out five in relief en route to the win. That was easily Hjelle's best MLB appearance of the season, as he entered the game with a 10.13 ERA. He could be back up the next time the Giants need a fresh multi-inning arm.

Kevin Herget RP | NYM
Reds' Kevin Herget: Outrighted to Louisville
Herget cleared waivers and was sent outright to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
After being designated for assignment Monday to clear space for Joey Votto's return, Herget will stay put in the Reds organization. The 32-year-old righty holds a 10.66 ERA and 2.79 WHIP through 12.2 frames in Louisville this season.

Trevor Megill RP | MIL
Brewers' Trevor Megill: Optioned to Nashville
The Brewers optioned Megill to Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Prior to Wednesday, Megill had gone six consecutive appearances without giving up a run. However, he was lit up for three runs over 1.1 innings during a loss to Arizona and will now return to the minors where he holds a 9.95 ERA through 12.2 innings this season. The Brewers have yet to announce a corresponding move, but a bullpen replacement should be added prior to Friday's game against Cleveland.

Daniel Bard RP | COL
Rockies' Daniel Bard: Takes first loss
Bard (3-1) allowed two earned runs on two walks and three hits while striking out one to take the loss Wednesday against the Reds.
Bard entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with the score knotted at 3-3. He served up a two-run home run to the third batter he faced and ultimately escaped further damage by striking out TJ Friedl with the bases loaded. Bard has walked a tightrope most of the season -- indicated by his 1.52 WHIP and 8.0 BB/9 -- but has still managed to maintain a 1.52 ERA. As long as he continues to let runners on base at that clip, he'll likely be on the outside looking in for save opportunities.

Bryan Hoeing RP | SD
Marlins' Bryan Hoeing: Receives another start
Hoeing is scheduled to start Saturday's game versus the Pirates at LoanDepot Park.
He'll be making his second turn through the rotation as a replacement for Edward Cabrera (shoulder) after striking out five over four scoreless innings while taking a no-decision Monday versus the Blue Jays. Until one of Cabrera, Johnny Cueto (biceps) or Trevor Rogers (biceps/shoulder) is ready to return from the injured list, Hoeing looks poised to stick around as the Marlins' No. 5 starter.

Jacob Bird RP | NYY
Rockies' Jake Bird: Pitches two scoreless innings
Bird did not factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing two hits over two scoreless innings against Cincinnati. He struck out one and did not walk a batter.
Bird did his job as an opener Wednesday, hurling two shutout innings before being relieved by Karl Kauffmann to start the third. The right-hander allowed two hits but did not walk a batter for the fourth time in his last five appearances as the Rockies lost their eighth straight. His ERA now sits at 4.73 in June, though he has not allowed a run in three of the last four games in which he's taken the mound.

Hunter Harvey RP | CHC
Nationals' Hunter Harvey: Nails down fourth save
Harvey gave up a hit in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his fourth save of the season in a 3-0 win over the Cardinals.
After Kyle Finnegan got the final out of the seventh inning and kept St. Louis off the board in the eighth. Harvey completed the combined shutout by firing 11 of his 13 pitches for strikes. While the Nats haven't created enough late leads to make their closer picture crystal clear, Finnegan has blown his last three save chances and last recorded one May 27, with Harvey converting two of three opportunities since.
