Raisel Iglesias RP | ATL
Braves' Raisel Iglesias: Throwing again Thursday
Iglesias (shoulder) will throw either live batting practice or in a minor-league rehab appearance Thursday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Iglesias was able to face live hitters for the first time Monday and is now scheduled for at least one more round of work. It's unclear how many rehab appearances Iglesias will make should he go on an assignment, but he figures to be very close to the end of his recovery process and could even return as soon as this weekend.

Brusdar Graterol RP | LAD
Dodgers' Brusdar Graterol: Goes on paternity leave
The Dodgers placed Graterol on the paternity list Tuesday.
Graterol is likely to be excused for the Dodgers' entire three-game series in Pittsburgh. Evan Phillips was reinstated Tuesday following his own stint on the paternity list and should command the majority of the team's save chances this week.

Evan Phillips RP | LAD
Dodgers' Evan Phillips: Back from paternity leave
The Dodgers activated Phillips (personal) from the paternity list Tuesday.
As expected, Phillips will return to the Dodgers bullpen ahead of Tuesday's series opener in Pittsburgh after spending a handful of days away from the team to be with his growing family. He should resume commanding a good chunk of the save opportunities for Los Angeles, especially with Brusdar Graterol now off on a paternity leave stint of his own.

Jake Reed RP | LAD
Dodgers' Jake Reed: Clears waivers, outrighted
Reed cleared waivers and was outrighted Monday to Triple-A Oklahoma City, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
The Dodgers booted Reed off the 40-man roster Saturday after he yielded six earned runs while recording only two outs in his first appearance of the season in Friday's blowout loss to the Cubs. The 30-year-old right-hander has logged only 27.1 career innings at the MLB level.

Jake Junis RP | TEX
Giants' Jakob Junis: Could fill bulk-relief role Tuesday
Junis is expected to serve as a bulk reliever behind opener John Brebbia in Tuesday's game against the Cardinals, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.
Tuesday had been lefty Sean Manaea's turn in the rotation, but manager Gabe Kapler is expected to push the southpaw to the back of the Giants' pitching schedule to optimize matchups against the Cardinals' right-handed-heavy lineup. With that in mind, Manaea presumably won't be called upon to work in long relief during the three-game series with St. Louis, making Junis the top candidate to eat innings once Brebbia exits Tuesday after what will likely be a 1-to-2-inning start. Junis should be well rested after having not pitched since April 18, when he recorded eight outs in relief.

Sean Manaea RP | NYM
Giants' Sean Manaea: Won't start versus St. Louis
Manaea, who had been on turn to take the hill Tuesday against the Cardinals, isn't expected to make a start during the Giants' three-game series with St. Louis, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Due to the Cardinals' right-handed-heavy lineup, Giants manager Gabe Kapler seems content to optimize matchups by pushing the left-handed Manaea to the back of the team's pitching schedule. Manaea could still be available out of the bullpen for the series in St. Louis, though Kapler would presumably look to spare him from facing off against the right-handed trio of Paul Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado and Willson Contreras. John Brebbia is scheduled to serve as an opening pitcher Tuesday, with right-hander Jakob Junis looking like the top candidate to cover the bulk of the innings out of the bullpen once Brebbia exits the contest. Right-handers Anthony DeSclafani and Logan Webb are slated to start the final two games of the series versus the Cardinals.

John Brebbia RP | COL
Giants' John Brebbia: Slated to open Tuesday's game
Brebbia will serve as the Giants' opening pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.
Brebbia has worked exclusively in relief this season, but he previously opened 11 games for the Giants in 2022. Manager Gabe Kapler is unlikely to have Brebbia work more than one or two innings before turning the game over to the bullpen. Though lefty Sean Manaea had been on turn to start Tuesday, the Giants seem inclined to push him to the back of their pitching schedule due to the Cardinals' right-handed-heavy lineup, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area. With that in mind, Emerman suspects that right-hander Jakob Junis will serve in a bulk-relief role once Brebbia exits the contest.

Edwin Uceta RP | TB
Mets' Edwin Uceta: Goes on IL with ankle sprain
Uceta was placed the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a left ankle sprain.
Uceta presumably suffered the injury while making a three-inning relief appearance Saturday at San Francisco. Jose Butto was called up from Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move and is expected to start Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

Justin Lawrence RP | PIT
Rockies' Justin Lawrence: Pitches ninth inning
Lawrence threw a scoreless ninth inning without allowing a baserunner in Monday's 6-0 win over the Guardians.
It wasn't a save situation, but Lawrence's usage was notable because Pierce Johnson -- the apparent closer in Colorado -- pitched in the eighth inning. Lawrence has gotten off to a strong start this season, allowing only three earned runs across 12 innings while maintaining a 14:4 K:BB. He's also tallied three holds, so he's been trusted in higher-leverage situations.

Collin McHugh RP | ATL
Braves' Collin McHugh: Activated from injured list
McHugh was activated from the 15-day injured list by Atlanta on Tuesday.
McHugh has been out since early April with right shoulder inflammation but felt fine during a couple scoreless rehab appearances. He'll slide back into a setup role for Atlanta.
