Yacabonis (quad) was designated for assignment by the Mets on Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Yacabonis had been on the injured list since May 9 while recovering from a left quad strain. Now he has lost his 40-man roster spot and heads into DFA limbo with an ugly 9.00 ERA in nine major-league innings for the year.

Los Angeles recalled Vesia from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Vesia posted an ugly 7.84 ERA and 2.81 WHIP across 10.1 innings of relief earlier this season with the Dodgers, but he hadn't allowed an earned run over his last nine appearances at the Triple-A level. The 27-year-old left-hander will try to climb back into a prominent setup role as he returns to the big-league bullpen mix.

Jameson allowed five hits and one walk while striking out six over 3.2 relief innings to earn a hold in Monday's 7-5 win over Colorado.

Starter Ryne Nelson put the Diamondbacks in an early 4-0 hole, but Arizona's bats and Jameson's multi-inning relief effort bailed him out. Jameson made his first appearance since being recalled from Triple-A Reno and figures to work as a multi-inning reliever, who can spot start if need be. He started three games for Arizona earlier this season but was optioned to the minors following a disastrous one-inning outing against the Padres. The right-hander had lost the ability to command his slider and became too predictable, leaning too heavily on his fastball, per Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic. He rediscovered the slider in the minors, and it was the pitch he used the most often Monday (28 times among 59 pitches).

Kauffmann (0-3) took the loss against Arizona on Monday, allowing seven runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out one batter over four innings. Per Thomas Harding of MLB.com, he's expected to be optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque to make room for the return of Dinelson Lamet (back) from the 15-day IL.

Kauffmann was spotted a 3-0 lead but couldn't capitalize, yielding five runs in the second inning and one each in the third and the fourth. The right-hander served up a pair of long balls among the nine hits he allowed and managed just one punchout in another poor outing. Kauffmann's first chance in the majors hasn't gone well -- he's allowed 17 runs over 12.2 innings while posting an unintimidating 7:7 BB:K. The move back to the minors should give him an opportunity to try to develop the tools needed to succeed in the big leagues.

Chafin earned a save over the Rockies on Monday, retiring the only batter he faced via strikeout.

Drey Jameson pitched 3.2 scoreless innings in relief and nearly closed the game, but Chafin was summoned to record the final out after Randal Grichuk stroked a two-out single in the ninth. Chafin got Elehuris Montero to go down swinging on a slider to finish off the victory and earn his eighth save. The lefty reliever has nabbed four saves in May and appears to be sharing the closer role with Miguel Castro, who also has four saves this month.

Brebbia will serve as the opener for Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

Brebbia is no stranger to the opener role, as he opened one week ago May 22 against the Twins and delivered a scoreless inning (two strikeouts). The Giants have yet to name a primary pitcher, but Sean Manaea could be an option to eat up innings after working only 1.1 frames over the last week.

Hudson (knee) has joined the Dodgers to continue his throwing program, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Vassegh suggests that Hudson could be ready for activation following a few more bullpen sessions and live batting practice sessions, so perhaps he'll be allowed to skip a rehab assignment. The veteran reliever's recovery from left ACL surgery has dragged on much longer than expected, but it sounds like he might finally be trending in the right direction.

Jackson (elbow) could be activated from the 60-day injured list this week, Danny Emerman of KNBR 680 San Francisco reports.

Jackson holds a 6.75 ERA and 8:4 K:BB over 5.1 innings on his rehab assignment as he nears the end of his long road back from Tommy John surgery. The reliever has pitched three of the last five days and says he feels good, but he'd like to refine his control a bit so it sounds like he could make at least one more rehab appearance. Jackson hasn't appeared in the majors since 2021.

The Rockies reinstated Rolison (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday.

Though Rolison still had time left in his 30-day rehab window, the southpaw didn't have a spot in the big-league rotation waiting for him, so the Rockies opted to activate him early. He'll now continue to make regular starts out of the Albuquerque rotation and work to hone his command and control after missing the entire 2022 season while recovering from surgery to repair the labrum of his left shoulder. Over his first three rehab outings between Albuquerque and Single-A Fresno, Rolison allowed nine runs on 12 hits and six walks while striking out nine in 10 innings.

The Giants optioned Beck to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.

Outfielder Austin Slater (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and will join the active roster as a replacement for Beck, who was expendable since the Giants already have three other relievers on hand capable of covering multiple innings in Ryan Walker, Jakob Junis and Sean Manaea. Beck will presumably slot back into the Sacramento rotation after he looked sharp over his final three extended relief appearances with the Giants, covering nine innings and allowing just one run on two hits and no walks while striking out 10.
