Hader allowed a hit and struck out three in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Guardians.

Hader hasn't let his blown save May 31 versus the Marlins turn into a slump -- he's pitched four scoreless innings and earned three saves in June. The closer is now at a 1.37 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 37:12 K:BB while converting 16 of 19 saves this season through 26.1 innings. Hader has struck out multiple batters in four of his last seven appearances.

Diaz threw a perfect inning to secure the save in Tuesday's 5-4 win against the Royals.

Diaz has been absolutely dominant of late, allowing just one run and one hit over his last six appearances. The young flamethrower has an absurd 49 strikeouts over 27.1 innings and hasn't given up multiple runs in an outing since April 8. Diaz is now second in the National League in saves and has firmly entrenched himself as one of the elite closers in all of baseball.

Smith was ejected from Tuesday's game against the Yankees due to a substance that was discovered on his hand, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Smith was ejected before throwing a pitch in the contest after coming in to pitch the seventh inning. John Curtiss has replaced Smith on the mound. Assuming he doesn't win an appeal, the right-hander will be suspended for 10 games as a result of the ejection.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Tuesday that Miller (personal) is expected back from bereavement leave before Wednesday's game against the White Sox.

Miller has been away from the team since Saturday while dealing with more important matters. The right-hander will be a mid-to-late inning option for the Dodgers upon his return.

Brazoban was optioned Tuesday to Triple-A Jacksonville, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Archie Bradley will join the Marlins' bullpen in a corresponding move. Brazoban threw 32 pitches over two innings of relief in Monday's series opener at Seattle and wasn't going to be available for a bit. He holds a 4.01 ERA in 28 appearances this year with Miami.

The Phillies recalled Ortiz from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.

Ortiz holds a 5.40 ERA in Triple-A this season, but that mark improves to 2.70 in the majors. He'll rejoin the Phillies' bullpen and likely work in middle relief while Yunior Marte heads to Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move.

Philadelphia optioned Marte to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday.

Luis Ortiz is up to fill the vacated spot in the Phillies' bullpen ahead of Tuesday night's game at Arizona. Marte has struggled to a 7.71 ERA in 14 innings of relief this season at the major-league level.

Santillan (hamstring) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

A setback in May delayed Santillan's rehab process, but after a few sessions in the bullpen and during live batting practice, the 26-year-old righty is now approaching a return to Cincinnati. There's no word on how long the Reds plan on keeping him on assignment, though multiple appearances are likely.

Karcher was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

Karcher will return to Louisville after he tossed a scoreless 10th inning on his way to a save in his major-league debut during Monday's 5-4 victory over the Royals. The 25-year-old walked one batter without allowing a hit, but he'll ultimately head back to Louisville, where he's produced an inflated 9.27 ERA and 2.58 WHIP with a 13.8 BB/9 over 22.1 innings in 22 appearances.

Kuhnel was designated for assignment by the Reds on Tuesday.

Kuhnel has allowed three earned runs on six hits and two walks in 3.1 innings (two relief appearances) this season at the major-league level. Daniel Duarte is grabbing the open 40-man roster spot as he reports to the Reds' bullpen Tuesday in Kansas City.
