Hernandez (2-2) suffered the loss against the Diamondbacks on Monday, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out five over 5.1 innings.

The right-hander fell behind early, giving up three runs in the first two innings. He rebounded over the next three frames before serving up a solo homer to Ketel Marte in the sixth. Hernandez has given up at least three earned runs in all but one of his six starts this season, resulting in an unpleasant 6.37 ERA. He'll look to turn things around in his next start, which is tentatively slated to come at home against Milwaukee this weekend.

Melancon earned the save against the Marlins on Monday, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Melancon suffered his first blown save of the season Saturday when he gave up three earned runs against Colorado. The veteran closer rebounded against the Marlins, however, needing just six pitches to retire three hitters. He yielded a single to the first batter he faced, but that was eventually wiped out with a game-ending double play. Melancon has gone 6-for-7 in save opportunities this season while posting a 3.60 ERA across 11 appearances.

Floro (shoulder) has been activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against Arizona, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Floro is ready for his 2022 regular-season debut after missing time with right shoulder tendinitis. He should immediately step into a high-leverage role within Miami's bullpen after cruising to a 2.81 ERA with 62 strikeouts and 15 saves a year ago.

Menez's contract was selected by the Cubs on Monday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Menez threw 42.1 innings over the last three seasons for the Giants, posting a 4.04 ERA. He owns a strong 2.16 ERA in 16.2 frames for Triple-A Iowa this season.

Robertson was placed on the injured list for undisclosed reasons Monday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

In addition to not specifying why Robertson was out, the Cubs also didn't specify which injured list he'd landed on, which fits the pattern teams have used when a player lands on the COVID-19 injured list. It's unclear whether or not Robertson has tested positive for the virus himself. Rowan Wick and Mychal Givens look like the top option for saves in his absence.

Johnson (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday.

Johnson hit the 10-day injured list in late April with right elbow tendinitis, and while he remains without a clear timetable, he'll now be ineligible to return before late June. The move clears space on the 40-man roster for the Padres to claim Sergio Alcantara off waivers.

The Reds outrighted Farmer to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.

Farmer went unclaimed off waivers after he churned out a 6.75 ERA and 1.83 WHIP across his 12 innings out of the Cincinnati bullpen this season before being designated for assignment Friday. He'll stick around in the organization as relief depth at Louisville.

Lambert (forearm) will throw one inning at extended spring training May 14, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Lambert has been sidelined to start the 2022 season due to arm pain while rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. After his outing in extended spring training, Lambert will make a two-inning appearance with Triple-A Albuquerque. It's unclear how many additional rehab outings Lambert may need to build up his arm strength and return from the injured list. The Rockies' rotation currently features a stable five starters, so Lambert will likely either pitch out of the big-league bullpen or be optioned to the minors once activated.

Diaz has submitted a 0.71 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 15:6 K:BB in 12.2 innings across his first 12 relief appearances this season.

The younger brother of Mets closer Edwin Diaz entered 2022 with a relatively modest pedigree as a former 12th-round draft pick who hadn't pitched above the Double-A level in his first seven years in the professional ranks in the minors, but Alexis has exceeded expectations since earning a spot in the Reds' Opening Day bullpen coming out of spring training. Though he has yet to register a hold while playing for a 5-23 team, Diaz has likely earned himself a high-leverage role out of the bullpen on the back of his sterling ratios. More established relievers such as Lucas Sims, Art Warren and Tony Santillan may still be ahead of Diaz in the pecking order when it comes to save opportunities, however.

Bass struck out two over 1.2 perfect innings Sunday to record his seventh hold of the season in a loss to the Padres.

Marlins manager Don Mattingly elected to use current closer Anthony Bender in the sixth inning to protect a 2-0 lead, and after he got the job done, Bass entered the game to shepherd the lead into the eighth. Unfortunately for Miami, Cole Sulser wound up blowing the save in the ninth. Bass is among the MLB leaders in holds so far, sitting two back of Devin Williams, and he's been scored upon in only two of his 14 appearances to begin the season, leaving the 34-year-old journeyman with a 1.23 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB through 14.2 innings.
