Kahnle (elbow) is expected to make relief appearances on consecutive days later this week during his ongoing rehab assignment at Triple-A Oklahoma City, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Kahnle is nearing the finish line in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, a procedure he underwent in August 2020. The right-hander has already made six rehab appearances between Oklahoma City and Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, covering 5.2 innings in total and giving up one earned run on four hits and a walk while striking out six. Manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that appearing on consecutive days is the final box Kahnle will need to check off in his rehab program before he returns from the 10-day injured list, potentially as soon as next week's series with the Giants.

Uceta was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.

Uceta allowed two runs in 1.2 innings during two relief appearances with the major-league club, and he'll head back to the minors after Humberto Castellanos was reinstated from the paternity list. Even if Uceta rejoins the Diamondbacks at some point, he's unlikely to serve as a high-leverage reliever.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Ferguson (elbow) is trending toward a return from the 10-day injured list in mid-to-late May, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Both Ferguson and fellow reliever Victor Gonzalez (elbow) are on similar timelines for their debuts after the two recently resumed facing hitters. Ferguson turned in a 2.89 ERA and 1.02 WHIP across 21 appearances in 2020 before undergoing the second Tommy John surgery of his career in September of that year.

Wilson was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, retroactive to April 24.

Wilson pitched just once in the last week, and he's apparently dealing with an elbow issue that will force him to miss at least a week and a half. The severity of his injury isn't yet known, but the Reds selected the contract of Phillip Diehl to provide another left-handed arm in the bullpen.

Beck was promoted to Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Beck struggled at Double-A Richmond with a 5.89 ERA and 1.49 WHIP across 18.1 innings last season, and he finished at Single-A San Jose. After a strong spring training this year, Beck continued his success with a 2.57 ERA across 14 innings to open 2022, which earned him a move to Triple-A. He'll likely have another adjustment period at the highest level of the minors, so he's unlikely to be a major-league option this season.

Graterol (0-1) suffered the loss against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday as a result of allowing two runs on one hit and one walk in one inning. He struck out one batter.

Graterol entered in the eighth inning with the score tied and walked the first batter he faced. David Peralta followed with a two-run homer to provide the game-winning runs. Graterol entered the contest having tossed 5.2 scoreless innings across his first six appearances, so this hiccup is unlikely to affect his status as a key cog in the Dodgers' bullpen.

The Pirates no longer list Wilson as their scheduled starter for Wednesday's game against the Brewers, as Dillon Peters is now set to take the hill instead, Mike Persak of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Pittsburgh has yet to provide an explanation for the change, but it's possible that Wilson is dealing with an injury or illness or facing a demotion to the bullpen or Triple-A Indianapolis for performance-related reasons. Over his first three starts this season, Wilson has failed to reach the sixth inning and has submitted a 6.35 ERA and 1.76 WHIP.

Peters is starting Wednesday's game against the Brewers, Rob Biertempfel of The Athletic reports.

Bryse Wilson was initially slated to take the mound for Pittsburgh on Wednesday, but the 24-year-old was scratched from the start for an unspecified reason. Peters' first five appearances of the season came as a reliever, and he struck out eight in 10.1 scoreless innings while picking up three wins. The southpaw threw 2.2 innings during Sunday's win over the Cubs, so he's unlikely to be able to handle a full workload Wednesday.

Diaz walked one in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his third save of the season in a 3-0 win over the Cardinals.

It's the first time in nine appearances this season Diaz failed to strike anyone out, but he still got the job done. He still boasts a dominant 40.0 percent strikeout rate, however, leading to a sparkling 2.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP over nine innings.

Jansen struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Tuesday to record his fifth save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Cubs.

The veteran closer had a shaky first appearance for Atlanta, but since then Jansen has delivered six straight scoreless outings with a 9:0 K:BB and five straight save conversions. The 34-year-old's 3.86 ERA looks out of place next to his 0.71 WHIP, 38.5 percent strikeout rate and 1.08 FIP.
