White was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

White has been serving as a starter and bulk reliever for the Dodgers since Aug. 12. He tossed 7.1 scoreless innings out of the bullpen to earn the win Wednesday night against Pittsburgh. With the Dodgers having a day off Monday and Julio Urias (calf) projected to return Tuesday, the team can utilize a four-man rotation in the short term. Even so, White is likely to be recalled at some point again this season to work as either a starter or multiple-inning reliever. Victor Gonzalez was activated from the injured list in the corresponding move.

Gonzalez (knee) was activated from the injured list Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Gonzalez was placed on the injured list Aug. 6. He made a brief rehab appearance on Aug. 17, surrendering three earned runs across one-third of an inning. Prior to his injury, Gonzalez logged 16 holds and will presumably return to a high-leverage role to provide some relief to the team's short-handed pitching staff.

Gallegos secured his 20th hold in an extra-inning loss to the Brewers on Wednesday, allowing a hit and a walk while recording two strikeouts over a scoreless eighth inning.

Gallegos worked around a bit of trouble of his own doing, throwing 26 pitches overall and only getting 15 into the strike zone. Nevertheless, he was able to preserve what was a one-run lead at the time and establish a career high-water mark in holds. The right-hander has now rattled off four straight scoreless appearances after giving up three earned runs apiece in back-to-back outings Aug. 4 and 5.

Cabrera secured his 21st hold in an extra-inning loss to the Brewers on Wednesday, firing a perfect seventh inning.

The left-hander came into the contest locked in, as he fired all seven pitches for strikes in an ultra-efficient inning. Cabrera hasn't allowed a run since July 9, a string of 14 consecutive appearances during which he's garnered nine holds and posted a 14:5 K:BB.

Guzman was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with right elbow soreness, Joe Frisaro of ManOnSecondBaseball.com reports.

Guzman was promoted from Triple-A Jacksonville last weekend and surrendered six runs over 1.2 frames in two appearances versus Atlanta this week. It's unclear how long he's expected to be sidelined.

Milner was recalled by the Brewers on Thursday.

Milner spent a week at Triple-A Nashville, but he'll rejoin the Brewers' bullpen to serve as an additional left-handed reliever. The 30-year-old has made 12 relief appearances in the majors this year, and he's posted a 4.97 ERA and 1.74 WHIP in 12.2 innings.

Reyes (5-6) took the loss in an extra-inning defeat at the hands of the Brewers on Wednesday, allowing four runs (one earned) on three hits and a wild pitch while recording three strikeouts over two innings.

The normally reliable closer experienced a rare stumble, allowing a game-tying solo home run to Avisail Garcia in the ninth inning and then hurting his own cause in the 10th with both a throwing error and a wild pitch. Reyes is now 27-for-29 in save opportunities, and he's given up at least one run in consecutive outings for the first time since July 4-5.

White (1-1) took the win Wednesday versus Pittsburgh, pitching 7.1 scoreless frames during which he gave up two hits and two walks while striking out six.

The right-hander was tabbed for a bulk-relief role and ended up finishing the game after entering with two outs in the second inning. White's 7.1 frames and 91 pitches were career highs, as were his six strikeouts. The dominant effort landed White his first win of the season and second of his career. He has pitched to a 3.19 ERA and 1.19 WHIP on the season and is likely to take the mound again -- either as a starter or a bulk reliever -- against the Padres next week.

Finnegan gave up a hit and struck out one over 1.1 scoreless innings to record his fourth save of the season in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Blue Jays.

The right-hander continues to thrive in a high-leverage role for the Nats. Finnegan has allowed only one earned run over his last 14 appearances and 14.1 innings, and he's converted four of five save chances since Brad Hand was dealt to Toronto just before the trade deadline.

Williams tossed a scoreless 10th inning and picked up his third save of the season in Wednesday's victory over the Cardinals.

Closer Josh Hader pitched the bottom of the ninth inning after the Brewers tied the game in the top of the frame, so Williams got a shot to close it out after the offense put up three runs in the 10th inning. Although he allowed the courtesy runner to score, that was the extent of the damage. Williams has allowed just one earned run since June 5, and since that stretch began he has recorded five wins, three saves, a 0.38 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP while posting a 38:9 K:BB over 24 innings.
