Garcia (3-2) picked up the win in Saturday's 3-1 victory over the Mets, walking one and striking out one in a scoreless inning.

With the game tied 1-1, Garcia took care of the Mets in the top of the ninth inning and was rewarded when Garrett Cooper slugged a walkoff homer. The Marlins' closer has reeled off seven straight scoreless appearances, and Garcia sports a 1.37 ERA and 19:4 K:BB through 19.2 innings with eight saves in nine chances.

Hader struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his 10th save of the season in a 4-3 win over the Reds.

The fireballer continues his exceptional start to the season. Hader has yet to blow a save and has fanned multiple batters in three straight appearances and seven of his last nine. He sports a 1.08 ERA and 30:7 K:BB through 16.2 innings.

Adam underwent surgery to repair a dislocated left ankle Friday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Recovery from the procedure will likely keep Adam out for an extended period, though the Cubs didn't specify exactly how long they expect him to be out. He's made nine appearances at the big-league level this season, struggling to an 8.22 ERA and 1.96 WHIP, but was pitching for Triple-A Iowa when he suffered the injury.

Yamamoto was recalled by the Mets on Saturday.

Yamamoto was expected to be recalled to start one of the two weekend games against the Marlins. He's likely to get the call Sunday, as Joey Lucchesi started Saturday's contest.

Moore was placed on the 10-day injured list with lower-back spasms Saturday.

Moore won a spot in the Opening Day rotation but struggled to a 9.82 ERA and 2.36 WHIP over three starts before landing on the COVID-19 injured list in mid-April. He was decent enough in six relief appearances since his return to action, allowing three earned runs in 7.1 frames, but he'll now head back to the injured list. Spencer Howard was recalled in a corresponding move and will have the chance to establish himself in the rotation, which could push Moore even further from a fantasy-relevant role.

Howard was recalled as expected ahead of his scheduled start Saturday against the Red Sox.

The Phillies intended to bring Howard along slowly this season but will call on him after he'd thrown just nine innings for the Triple-A team, as they haven't gotten nearly enough from their other back-end starters. He only threw four innings in his most recent start for Lehigh Valley, so Howard is not expected to throw more than 75 pitches Saturday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Matt Moore (back) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move.

Helsley (3-2) was charged with the loss to the Cubs on Friday, allowing two earned runs on two hits, two walks and a wild pitch over an inning. He struck out two.

Helsley's busy final line underscores how much he struggled during his one frame, as he labored through 25 pitches to get three outs in the seventh. The reliever failed to protect a 2-2 tie and allowed multiple earned runs for the second time in four appearances. The 26-year-old now sports a bloated 5.59 ERA and 1.60 WHIP following his recent struggles.

The Marlins transferred Hernandez (biceps) to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

The move does not necessarily mark a setback in Hernandez's recovery, but rather an effort to free up a spot on the 40-man roster until the pitcher is ready to return. Hernandez has already begun his rehab and figures to be ready for activation in the near future, but this move means he will not be eligible to return until June 4 at the earliest.

Garcia allowed a hit and struck out one in one scoreless inning in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Garcia has allowed just one run, three hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in five inning since he returned from a groin injury. The southpaw hasn't been very effective in 2021 with a 5.56 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB, but he's been trending in a better direction since his return. He's notched a hold, but he's also taken a blown save and a loss in nine outings, mainly in a low-leverage role.

The Braves optioned Webb to Triple-A Gwinnett after Friday's blowout win over the Pirates.

Webb was clearly rattled after drilling Kevin Pillar in the face Monday and has been unable to settle down, allowing five hits and a walk in 1.1 innings since. The righty has been inconsistent all season out of the bullpen and now yields his roster spot to Bryse Wilson.
