Ryan Brasier RP | TEX
Cubs' Ryan Brasier: Continues impressive streak
Brasier, who tossed 1.1 scoreless innings in Wednesday's loss to the Twins, has now logged 11 straight scoreless appearances dating back to early June.
In 17 appearances overall this season, Brasier has only been scored on twice, and he's now sitting with a stellar 1.10 ERA and 0.92 WHIP. The veteran righty didn't make his season debut until May 24 due to a strained left groin sustained in spring training, but he's been an effective relief option when healthy. He has no wins or saves and has only recorded one hold, so his fantasy value is capped, though Brasier could have some appeal in deeper leagues due to his strong ratios.

Michael Kopech SP | LAD
Dodgers' Michael Kopech: Diagnosed with torn meniscus
Kopech (knee) underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus this week, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
This helps explain the Dodgers' decision to transfer Kopech to the 60-day IL earlier Wednesday. The good news for Los Angeles is that Kopech is still expected back before the end of the season, though he isn't eligible to return until late August. Kopech is among six Dodgers relievers to currently occupy a spot on the 60-day injured list.

Bryce Jarvis RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Bryce Jarvis: Heads back to Triple-A
The Diamondbacks optioned Jarvis to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.
Jarvis tossed 66 pitches across four innings of relief in last Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Royals. He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out a pair in the scoreless outing. Jarvis has a 4.40 ERA and 13:7 K:BB across 14.1 innings of work with Arizona this season.

Andrew Saalfrank RP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Andrew Saalfrank: Recalled from Triple-A
The Diamondbacks recalled Saalfrank from Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.
In a corresponding move, Arizona optioned Bryce Jarvis to Triple-A. Saalfrank has yet to pitch in the big leagues this season and has struggled with his command at Reno, logging a 7.15 ERA and 14:10 K:BB across 11.1 innings of work. He'll fill a middle-relief role with the Diamondbacks.

Tanner Scott RP | LAD
Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Takes blown save Wednesday
Scott was charged with a blown save in Wednesday's 10-inning loss to Milwaukee. He allowed a run on three hits while striking out two over 1.1 innings.
Scott entered the game with two outs in the eighth inning and induced a groundout from Christian Yelich to strand the potential tying run on second base. However, it was a different story for Scott in the ninth, when he allowed a run on three singles to take his sixth blown save this season. The left-hander has struggled recently, allowing three runs on six hits in his last two appearances (two innings). Scott's ERA sits at 3.86 through 42 innings this year with a 1.12 WHIP and 47:7 K:BB while going 18-for-24 in save chances.

Ethan Roberts RP | CHC
Cubs' Ethan Roberts: Back in big-league bullpen
The Cubs recalled Roberts from Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday.
He'll join the 26-man active roster and the bullpen as a replacement for Porter Hodge (shoulder), who landed on the 15-day injured list. Roberts previously made nine relief appearances for the Cubs back in April, allowing five runs with a 6:2 K:BB over 8.1 frames.
-
Porter Hodge SP | CHC
Cubs' Porter Hodge: Back on IL with shoulder injury
The Cubs placed Hodge on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to a right shoulder impingement.
Hodge was knocked around for six runs while recording just one out in Tuesday's loss to the Twins. Though Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Wednesday in a radio appearance on 670 The Score Chicago that he doesn't believe Hodge's injury is "anything major," the reliever will be on the shelf for at least a couple weeks. Hodge previously missed more than a month of action with oblique and hip injuries.

Tyler Zuber RP | MIA
Marlins' Tyler Zuber: Claimed by Miami
The Marlins claimed Zuber off waivers from the Mets on Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Jacksonville.
Zuber allowed two runs over two innings in his lone relief appearance with the Mets this season and has collected a 6.11 ERA and 27:15 K:BB across 28 frames at the Triple-A level in 2025. The 30-year-old will give the Marlins some right-handed bullpen depth at Jacksonville.

Orion Kerkering RP | PHI
Phillies' Orion Kerkering: Moves past apparent injury
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said that Kerkering was unavailable to pitch in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Giants due to soreness but is available Wednesday, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Kerkering might have gotten a save chance had he been available Tuesday. Instead, the Phillies turned to Jordan Romano, who gave up three runs in the ninth inning to take a blown save and loss. The source of Kerkering's soreness isn't known, but he will evidently be ready Wednesday, if needed. Kerkering has notched two saves for the Phillies this season.

Elvin Rodriguez RP | ARI
Brewers' Elvin Rodriguez: Removed from 40-man roster
The Brewers designated Rodriguez for assignment Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for outfielder Steward Berroa (shoulder), who was acquired via trade from the Dodgers. Rodriguez has made two starts and four relief appearances for the Brewers this season, allowing 18 runs with a 17:7 K:BB over 18.2 frames.
