Antone has made his last two appearances out of the Cincinnati bullpen, working 3.1 scoreless no-hit frames and striking out three while issuing two walks.

Antone made three starts for the Reds between Aug. 29 and Sept. 12, but the rookie has seemingly transitioned back to a relief role with Cincinnati set to get its rotation back to full strength Tuesday, when Sonny Gray (back) is in line to start in his return from the 10-day injured list. The righty has proven to be a dominant multi-inning weapon out of the bullpen this season, holding opposing hitters to a lowly .060/.175/.140 slash line while striking out 21 of the 57 hitters he's faced in relief.

Chafin worked around a hit and a walk to pitch a scoreless inning in Sunday's 4-0 loss to the Twins.

It was Chafin's first appearance since Aug. 17, as he missed time due to a sprained left index finger, and it also happened to be his first appearance for the Cubs, who acquired him as part of an Aug. 31 trade. With Rowan Wick (oblique) possibly out for the rest of the season, Chafin could quickly earn an important role in the Chicago bullpen if he pitches well.

Lamet allowed a run on two hits and two walks and struck out 10 in six innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Sunday.

Lamet left Sunday's contest in position for the win after Wil Myers' go-ahead, three-run homer in the sixth. That opportunity vanished when Padres reliever Emilio Pagan allowed a two-run blast to Dylan Moore. Despite the lack of a result, Lamet was again excellent. He has a 2.07 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, 89:19 K:BB and a 3-1 record in 65.1 innings across 11 starts. Lamet will likely make his last regular-season start Saturday versus the Giants.

Rolison will be included on the Rockies' taxi squad for their season-ending road trip this week, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

One of the organization's top pitching prospects, Rolison looks like he could be under consideration to make his MLB debut during the final week of the regular season. As Groke notes, Rolison threw a side session at Coors Field on Sunday, which would put him on normal rest for a spot start Friday, when the Rockies kick off their series in Arizona with a doubleheader. The Rockies have no other obvious candidate to serve as the sixth man in their rotation this week, so Rolison could get the chance to showcase his skills with the hope of breaking camp with the big club in 2021. The 23-year-old split time between the California and South Atlantic Leagues in 2019, posting a 4.40 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 132 strikeouts in 131 innings.

Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak said Sunday that Hudson (forearm) is doubtful to pitch again this season, Jim Hayes of FOX Sports Midwest reports.

Hudson exited his start Thursday with what was initially labeled as right elbow soreness, but he was diagnosed with a right forearm strain and placed on the 10-day injured list two days later after undergoing additional testing. The right-hander will be evaluated again by a team doctor Tuesday, but the Cardinals aren't banking on Hudson receiving a short-term timeline to resume pitching. St. Louis will turn to Austin Gomber to fill Hudson's spot in the rotation beginning with Tuesday's game in Kansas City.

Yates (elbow) was transferred to the 45-day injured list Sunday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Sunday's move is simply procedural as Yates was already slated to miss the remainder of the 2020 season. The transaction will make room on the 40-man roster for Austin Adams (knee), who was reinstated from the 45-day injured list in a corresponding move.

The Padres optioned Patino to their alternate training site Sunday.

Patino's demotion doesn't come as much of a surprise after he struggled in his spot start Saturday against the Mariners in place of the injured Mike Clevinger (biceps). He lasted 1.2 innings in the Padres' loss, giving up one run on three hits and two walks while striking out three in a no-decision. Though Clevinger appears on track to rejoin the rotation Wednesday, San Diego will have a need for a spot starter Friday for one half of the team's doubleheader with the Giants. The Padres could designate Patino as their 29th man for the twin bill and bring him back to start one of those contests.

The Padres reinstated Adams (knee) from the 60-day injured list Sunday.

One of several Mariners dealt to San Diego ahead of the Aug. 31 trade deadline, Adams is finally ready to make his Padres debut after a lengthy recovery from the torn ACL he sustained just under a year ago. Prior to suffering the injury, Adams enjoyed a breakthrough 2019 season out of the Seattle bullpen, posting a 3.94 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 53:16 K:BB in 32 innings. If he can quickly rediscover that form over the final week of the regular season, Adams could emerge as a key piece in the San Diego bullpen during the playoffs.

The Phillies recalled Medina from their alternate training site ahead of his scheduled start Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Philadelphia demoted outfielder Mickey Moniak to the alternate site to create room on the active roster for Medina, who will be making his MLB debut Sunday. The Phillies likely would have preferred to delay Medina's move to the big leagues until 2021, but injuries to rotation members Jake Arrieta (hamstring) and Spencer Howard (shoulder) have created a need for the 23-year-old. He spent most of the 2019 campaign at Double-A Reading, posting a 4.94 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 82:41 K:BB in 105.2 innings.

Payamps was optioned to the Diamondbacks' alternate training site following Saturday's game.

This move clears space for Taylor Widener's return from a rib cage injury. Payamps ended up making just one appearance during his latest stint with the big-league club.
