Beede will not start Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays as previously anticipated, though he could be deployed as a primary pitcher behind opener Nick Vincent, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Vincent hasn't exceeded three innings or 49 pitches in any outing this season, so the Giants should have plenty of frames left to fill once the right-hander departs. While Beede should be able to work as long as needed after having not pitched in any of the previous four days, it's not necessarily a lock that he'll work as a bulk reliever. The Giants recently moved another starter to the bullpen in Derek Holland, who will also be available to handle multiple innings if called upon. The lack of certainty regarding Beede's workload this week may make it difficult to justify keeping him in fantasy lineups.

Alzolay (side) will report to Triple-A Iowa this week, Tommy Birch of The Des Moines Register reports.

Alzolay was held back at extended spring training to begin the season after succumbing to a side injury in February, but he looks like he's back to 100 percent health. The right-hander made his 2019 debut in affiliated ball with High-A Myrtle Beach on Sunday, covering four innings and giving up six runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks in the rehab start. Despite the poor results, the Cubs apparently believe the 24-year-old is now ready to reclaim a spot in the Iowa rotation.

Morejon (shoulder) returned from the injured list Monday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Morejon missed three weeks with back and shoulder injuries. He recorded a 6.59 ERA in four starts or Double-A Amarillo prior to suffering the injury.

Robertson (elbow) won't resume throwing for at least three more weeks, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Robertson visited Dr. James Andrews on Monday, who recommended the veteran right-hander rest for a few weeks before resuming a throwing program. The 34-year-old has been sidelined since mid-April with a right flexor strain; while he remains without a timetable for his return, this recent setback suggests Robertson won't be ready to return until the end of June or beginning of July, at the earliest.

Hoffman struck out 10 over 5.2 innings Sunday in Triple-A Albuquerque's 5-3 win over Fresno. He gave up two runs while scattering four hits and two walks.

Hoffman has rebounded from a rough start to the Pacific Coast League season to accrue 27 strikeouts against five walks over his last three appearances. The improved control Hoffman has displayed of late could put him in position for a promotion to the big club when the Rockies require a fifth starter again May 25. Colorado is currently getting by with a four-man rotation following the demotion of Tyler Anderson, who hasn't pitched for the Triple-A club after experiencing left knee issues.

Rusin (back) is expected to make his next rehab appearance Tuesday with Triple-A Albuquerque, the Associated Press reports.

Rusin has already completed three outings at Albuquerque, covering one inning on each occasion. Manager Bud Black said Sunday that the Rockies don't have a clear target date for Rusin's return, so the lefty may need to pitch on back-to-back days in the minors to convince the organization he's back to full health.

Howard is on the 7-day injured list at High-A Clearwater due to shoulder soreness, Matt Winkelman of Phillies Minor Thoughts reports.

Winkelman says the team is not concerned, although a shoulder injury of any kind should be concerning to those who are rostering Howard in dynasty leagues. He was off to a very impressive start, logging a 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 30 strikeouts in 20 innings (four starts).

Jackson allowed two hits and fanned two batters across two scoreless innings to earn the save Sunday against Arizona.

Jackson got himself out of a jam in the eighth inning, inducing a ground ball for the final out of the frame with runners on second and third. He managed to cruise through the ninth, retiring the side in order. Jackson has now converted on back-to-back save opportunities, and he'll continue to see chances with A.J. Minter out of the picture for the time being.

Smith picked up the save after striking out two in the ninth inning Sunday against Cincinnati.

Smith got Nick Senzel to pop out to begin the inning, and he fanned the final two batters to secure the victory. The southpaw picked up three saves during San Francisco's four-game weekend series, and he now owns a 2.87 ERA with 17 strikeouts through 15.2 frames.

Hudson allowed three runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out two over six innings Sunday in a no-decision.

Hudson got off to a shaky start while surrendering three runs in the first inning, but he settled down with five scoreless frames afterward. The right-hander has faced some tough luck of late, picking up two straight losses entering the day despite surrendering just three earned runs over that stretch, and the bullpen let him down Sunday by coughing up a 6-3 lead in the seventh inning. Hudson is 2-3 with a 4.61 ERA and 31 punchouts over 41 innings this year.
