  • Braves' Enyel De Los Santos: Gets MiLB deal from Atlanta

Atlanta signed De Los Santos to a minor-league contract on Dec. 15.

De Los Santos pitched for three different teams in 2024, posting a 5.20 ERA and 66:25 K:BB across 64 innings between the Padres, Yankees and White Sox. The 29-year-old will give Atlanta some veteran relief depth.

  • Jose Cuas RP | KC

Phillies' Jose Cuas: Removed from 40-man roster

The Phillies designated Cuas for assignment Monday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Joe Ross, who was signed Monday. Cuas was claimed off waivers in September but never made an appearance for the Phillies. He holds a career 4.37 ERA and 22 percent strikeout rate over parts of three big-league seasons.

  • Sean Manaea RP | NYM

Mets' Sean Manaea: Returning to Queens

Manaea agreed to a three-year, $75 million contract with the Mets on Monday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

After posting a 4.73 ERA and 1.27 WHIP over 67 appearances (38 starts) between the Padres and Giants during the 2022 and 2023 campaigns, Manaea bounced back during his first season with the Mets last year, generating a 3.47 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 184:63 K:BB while pitching a career-high 181.2 innings across 32 regular-season starts. He'll return to the Mets and be part of a pitching staff that has already added Frankie Montas and Clay Holmes during the offseason. Manaea will be a front-end starter for a team that reached the NLCS in 2024 and enters the 2025 season with lofty aspirations after signing Juan Soto to a record-breaking deal in early December.

  • Tyler Gilbert RP | CHW

Phillies' Tyler Gilbert: DFA'd by Philly

The Phillies designated Gilbert for assignment Sunday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The left-hander lost his place on the 40-man roster to make room for Jesus Luzardo (back), who was acquired via trade from the Marlins on Sunday. Gilbert allowed three earned runs over 8.1 major-league innings during 2024 and spent most of the campaign at the Triple-A level, where he had a 4.70 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 65:14 K:BB over 51.2 innings.

  • Davis Daniel RP | CIN

Braves' Davis Daniel: Traded to Atlanta

Atlanta acquired Daniel from the Angels on Friday in exchange for Mitch Farris.

Daniel had been designated for assignment by the Angels but will now join Atlanta's 40-man roster. The 27-year-old posted a 6.23 ERA and 28:6 K:BB over 30.1 innings in 2024 and will likely begin 2025 in the Triple-A Gwinnett rotation.

  • Luis Ortiz RP | NYM

Mets' Luis Ortiz: Will rehab with Mets

The Mets signed Ortiz (elbow) to a minor-league contract Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Ortiz will miss most, if not all, of the 2025 campaign while recovering from Tommy John surgery, so this is likely a two-year minor-league deal. He holds a career 4.76 ERA and 25:16 K:BB across 34 innings covering parts of five seasons at the big-league level.

  • Anthony Gose RP | NYM

Mets' Anthony Gose: NRI deal with Mets

The Mets signed Gose to a minor-league contract Friday that includes an invitation to spring training, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

A converted outfielder, Gose holds a 4.78 ERA but a 41:17 K:BB over 32 innings at the big-league level. The 34-year-old will be a long shot to win a spot in the Mets' bullpen.

  • Nick Vespi RP | PHI

Phillies' Nick Vespi: Signs MiLB deal

Vespi signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies on Thursday and received an invitation to spring training, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Vespi held his own in the majors last season, allowing four earned runs over 12.1 innings with the Orioles. However, his success didn't translate to the minors, as he finished the year with a 7.23 ERA and 2.04 WHIP in 42.1 frames at Triple-A Norfolk. He'll get a chance to redeem himself and compete for a bullpen spot during spring training with Philly, but the 29-year-old southpaw is most likely destined to start 2025 in Triple-A.

  • Cody Poteet RP | BAL

Cubs' Cody Poteet: Dealt to Cubs

The Cubs acquired Poteet from the Yankees on Tuesday in exchange for Cody Bellinger and cash consideration, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Poteet, 30, made four starts and one relief appearance for the Yankees in 2024, collecting a 2.22 ERA and 16:8 K:BB across 24.1 innings. He could be used either as a starter or reliever, with the rotation at Triple-A Iowa perhaps being his most likely destination.

  • Jordan Weems RP | LAD

Braves' Jordan Weems: Latches on with Atlanta

Atlanta signed Weems to a minor-league contract Tuesday, Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post reports.

Weems, 32, holds a career 5.26 ERA and 161:77 K:BB over 155.2 innings covering parts of five seasons at the major-league level. He will likely begin the 2025 campaign in the bullpen at Triple-A Gwinnett.
