The Rockies recalled Chivilli from Double-A Hartford on Friday.

The 21-year-old will skip the Triple-A level and joined Colorado for his first taste of the big leagues. Closer Justin Lawrence was placed on the paternity list in a corresponding move, so it figures to be a short stay in the majors for Chivilli.

The Cardinals recalled Leahy from Triple-A Memphis on Friday.

The right-hander served as the 27th man for Tuesday's doubleheader and will quickly rejoin the major-league roster as Steven Matz (back) heads to the injured list. Leahy has made four appearances over the past two years with the Cardinals and has given up six runs over three innings.

The Brewers recalled Martin from Triple-A Nashville on Friday.

Martin was claimed off waivers from the Diamondbacks last month. The 28-year-old missed the 2023 season following lat surgery and had spent all of 2024 at the Triple-A level, holding a 6.14 ERA and 8:7 K:BB over 7.1 frames. Martin had mostly been a starter in the past but has made a full-time move to relief this season.

Smyly (hip) has been cleared to begin playing catch, Tony Andracki of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Smyly hasn't pitched in nearly two weeks because of a right hip impingement but is ready to begin ramping things back up. The left-hander seems likely to require a rehab assignment before rejoining the Cubs' bullpen.

Smith (1-0) picked up the win Thursday, striking out two in a perfect 10th inning during the Marlins' victory over the Rockies.

Brenton Doyle led off the frame with a sacrifice bunt to put the phantom runner on third base, but Smith fanned Ryan McMahon and Elehuris Montero to deny Colorado a run. The right-hander then got rewarded when Miami walked it off in the bottom of the inning. Smith has seen little high-leverage work this season, adding only one hold to his ledger in 14 appearances, and he sports a 3.31 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 12:7 K:BB through 16.1 innings.

Young (1-0) earned the win in Thursday's extra-innings victory over the Cubs, allowing one unearned run on two hits and a walk. He struck out one.

Young gave up a leadoff double to Nick Madrigal in the 11th inning, allowing the free runner to score, but he'd hold the Cubs there thanks in large part to Starling Marte, who threw Madrigal out at the plate after he tried to score on a two-out single. The Mets would then walk it off in the bottom half of the frame on Francisco Lindor's two-run double. It's the first win in the majors for Young, who was also making his Mets debut. The left-hander was solid in limited action with Atlanta last season, allowing one earned run while striking out 11 in 8.1 innings. Brooks Raley (elbow) doesn't have a clear timeline for his return, so Young should have a consistent role in New York's bullpen with Jake Diekman being the team's only other left-handed option.

Rogers picked up a hold by pitching a perfect eighth inning in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Red Sox.

As expected, Rogers has served as a setup man for the Giants this year. He's pitched fairly well with a 2.63 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 9:0 K:BB over 13.2 innings while adding six holds in 15 appearances. He's yet to pick up a save, as closer Camilo Doval has yet to miss out on a save opportunity. Rogers' lack of a high strikeout rate limits his appeal in most fantasy formats, though it's encouraging that the submariner has avoided issuing free passes so far.

Walker (3-2) allowed a hit and struck out one without walking a batter in a scoreless inning to earn the win Thursday over the Red Sox.

Walker is on a seven-inning scoreless streak, and he's racked up an 11:3 K:BB with two wins and two holds in that span. The right-hander is putting together a solid season in a versatile role, pitching to a 2.65 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB across 17 innings. He's added three holds, and while he doesn't see steady high-leverage usage, he's displayed the ability to limit baserunners and protect leads.

Doval earned a save against the Red Sox on Thursday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.

Doval entered in the bottom of the ninth with a two-run lead and retired the side in order on 14 pitches. He's given up just two runs over 11 innings since a rough season debut against San Diego on March 30. Doval is locked in as the Giants' closer, as he's now 6-for-6 in save opportunities with a 3.09 ERA on the campaign.

Walston was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Thursday.

It was a brief stint for Walston, who was recalled by the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. He threw for 3.2 innings in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers, allowing two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out five. The move corresponds with Arizona acquiring right-hander Matt Bowman from the Twins on Thursday, while Merrill Kelly (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day IL.
