Kyle Leahy SP | STL
Cardinals' Kyle Leahy: Returns to majors
The Cardinals recalled Leahy from Triple-A Memphis on Saturday.
Leahy owns a 4.02 ERA and 1.02 WHIP through 47 innings with the Cardinals this season, and he's given up just one earned run across 5.2 Triple-A frames since making his last MLB appearance Sept. 6. He'll come up to give the Cards some additional bullpen depth as Sonny Gray (forearm) heads to the IL.

Lou Trivino RP | BAL
Yankees' Lou Trivino: Extends rehab assignment
Trivino (elbow) agreed in mid-September to extend his minor-league rehab assignment an additional 10 days, per MLB.com.
Trivino continues to work his way back from Tommy John surgery performed last May and a bout of right elbow inflammation that sprung up this April. Though he has a 4.91 ERA and 1.45 WHIP over 11 rehab appearances, the veteran reliever has pitched three consecutive scoreless outings during which he's posted a 3:3 K:BB over 3.2 innings. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Sept. 14 that Trivino has been "building a lot of good momentum," and there's still a chance the right-hander could join the New York bullpen before the end of the season.

Seth Martinez RP | BOS
Astros' Seth Martinez: Back in big leagues
The Astros recalled Martinez from Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday
With Tayler Scott (back) headed for the injured list, the Astros will call upon Martinez to fill the open spot in the bullpen. The 30-year-old righty has been solid in the majors this season, posting a 3.04 ERA and 1.21 WHIP through 50.1 innings. He'll most likely work in middle relief down the stretch.

Tayler Scott RP | ATL
Astros' Tayler Scott: Shelved with spine injury
The Astros placed Scott on the 15-day injured list Saturday due to a thoracic spine strain.
Scott has been uncharacteristically bad during September, logging a 6.35 ERA and 4:5 K:BB across 5.2 innings. However, the poor performance can be attributed at least in some part to the spine injury. Scott won't be eligible to return during the regular season, but he could return for the playoffs. Seth Martinez was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding move.

Jose Marte RP | LAA
Angels' Jose Marte: Undergoes shoulder surgery
Marte had successful right shoulder surgery in mid-September, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Marte's placement on the injured list Aug. 10 was due to a viral infection, and he was transferred to the 60-day IL on Aug. 30. The righty reliever reportedly "felt something in his shoulder" while trying to build up his arm strength, which resulted in the decision to shut down his throwing and have him undergo shoulder surgery, per MLB.com. It's unclear whether Marte will be ready to pitch when spring training comes around next year.

Luis Garcia RP | MIN
Red Sox's Luis Garcia: Returns from IL
The Red Sox reinstated Garcia (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Saturday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
Garcia has been held out of action since late August due to inflammation in his right elbow, but he's now been cleared to return after throwing a scoreless inning during a rehab appearance in Triple-A on Tuesday. The 37-year-old reliever has allowed 13 earned runs in just 11.1 innings since joining the Red Sox, and he'll most likely work in middle relief during the final stretch. Cooper Criswell was optioned to Worcester in a corresponding move.

Erik Sabrowski RP | CLE
Guardians' Erik Sabrowski: Earns first career save
Sabrowski allowed two hits and a walk while striking out two over 2.1 scoreless innings to earn the save in Friday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals.
Sabrowski entered the game with the Guardians ahead 4-1 in the seventh inning and covered the rest of the game. He has made six appearances -- five longer than one inning -- since joining the major-league roster Aug. 28. He's yet to allow a run while posting a 0.90 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB over 10 innings, maintaining strong strikeouts numbers while getting his walk rate under better control after posting a 7.3 BB/9 over 37 innings at Triple-A this year. Sabrowski will continue to fill a multi-inning role in the Guardians' elite bullpen.

Ronny Henriquez RP | MIA
Twins' Ronny Henriquez: Optioned to St. Paul
The Twins optioned Henriquez to Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday.
After coming up from the minors in mid-August, Henriquez turned in a 3.94 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 16 innings. After pitching in three of Minnesota's last four games, he'll be sent out to the minors in favor of Brent Headrick, who will provide a fresh arm in middle relief.

Grant Holmes SP | ATL
Braves' Grant Holmes: Getting another start
Holmes is scheduled to start Sunday against the Marlins at LoanDepot Park.
After making eight straight appearances out of the bullpen, Holmes was thrust back into the rotation Tuesday as a replacement for Reynaldo Lopez (shoulder), who was placed on the injured list the week prior. While taking the hill Tuesday on two days' rest, Holmes took a no-decision against the Reds, covering four innings on 78 pitches and giving up two earned runs. Holmes should be able to provide Atlanta with more length as he makes his second turn through the rotation Sunday.
