Wilson passed through waivers unclaimed after the Brewers booted him from their 40-man roster, but he will head into free agency after refusing an outright assignment. The right-hander posted a 4.04 ERA and 82:31 K:BB across 104.2 innings in 2024 while splitting time between the rotation and bullpen.

The Angels released Rosenberg on Monday.

Rosenberg appeared in seven regular-season games (including one start) for the Angels in 2024 and posted a 6.00 ERA and 1.50 WHIP over 24 frames. He spent most of the year with Triple-A Salt Lake, and across 21 starts he posted a 9-7 record with a 4.21 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 105:38 K:BB over 115.1 innings. The 29-year-old southpaw should receive interest from organizations looking to bolster its left-handed pitching options.

Paredes made just one appearance with the Cubs in September after being claimed off waivers and is now a free agent after declining an outright assignment. The righty reliever posted a 1.66 ERA but an underwhelming 16:10 K:BB across 21.2 innings at the major-league level in 2024.

Brewer passed through waivers unclaimed after the Cubs removed him from their 40-man roster, but he'll test out free agency rather than accepting an outright assignment. The right-handed reliever held a 5.66 ERA and 22:9 K:BB across 20.2 frames in 2024.

The Tigers outrighted Sammons from the 40-man roster Monday after he cleared waivers.

Sammons appeared in six regular-season games for the Tigers in 2024, and across 27.1 innings he posted a 3.62 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB. He spent most of 2024 with Triple-A Toledo, and across 22 outings (20 starts), he posted a 6-7 record with a 4.15 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 102:44 K:BB across 102 innings.

Almonte (shoulder) elected free agency Monday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Almonte had right shoulder surgery in July and is expected to be sidelined until around midseason of next year. He will do his rehabbing in another organization after declining an outright assignment from the Cubs.

The Cubs designated Herget for assignment Monday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Rob Zastryzny, who was claimed off waivers. Herget himself was a waiver claim of the Cubs but never made an appearance for them.

It's a return to his original organization for Zastryzny, who was drafted by the Cubs and spent his first three major-league seasons in Chicago. The lefty reliever ended the season on the injured list with elbow tendinitis but looks to be healthy headed into the offseason.

The Phillies claimed McMillon (elbow) off waivers from the Marlins on Monday.

McMillon ended the 2024 season on the injured list with an elbow injury, but the Phillies are evidently comfortable with his health situation. The right-handed reliever holds a 1.69 ERA and 21:5 K:BB over 16 innings during parts of two seasons at the major-league level.

The Rangers declined Chafin's 2025 team option Monday.

Chafin signed a one-year deal with the Tigers in December of 2023, but he was dealt to the Rangers in late July. Across 62 regular-season outings with both organizations, Chafin posted a 3.51 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 70:31 K:BB across 56.1 innings. The 34-year-old southpaw should get plenty of interest on the open market from teams looking to add some veteran, left-handed pitching to its bullpen.
