Liberatore (1-1) pitched a perfect inning and struck out two batters to earn the win in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader versus the Tigers.

Liberatore bounced back from his first loss of the season Sunday with a clean outing in the eighth inning Tuesday. The Cardinals then rallied ahead in the ninth, and Ryan Helsley closed the door for a save. Liberatore has been solid with a 2.93 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 9:8 K:BB through 15.1 innings over 11 appearances as a multi-inning relief option this season. Tuesday also marked the first time in six appearances he avoided walking a batter.

Estevez (0-1) blew the save and took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on three hits with two strikeouts over two-thirds of an inning against Philadelphia.

Each of the three hits against Estevez went for extra bases, with Nick Castellanos hitting a solo homer and Johan Rojas bringing in Bryson Stott -- who reached on a ground-rule double -- on a two-run homer to give the Phillies the lead. Estevez has now surrendered one or more runs in three of his last four appearances, a stretch that ballooned his ERA from 0.00 to 6.23 and resulted in a pair of blown saves. While his closing job seems to be safe for now, Matt Moore and Luis Garcia would be the names to know if Estevez begins to cede ninth-inning work.

Hoffman picked up the save Tuesday, striking out one during a perfect inning against the Angels.

Hoffman was thrust into a save chance after the Phillies took the lead with a three-run top of the ninth and came through for his second save of the season. He hasn't allowed a run in 8.2 straight innings and owns a 1.29 ERA as a setup man for Jose Alvarado.

Lawrence was tagged with a blown save in Tuesday's loss to the Marlins, allowing two runs on two hits and a walk in one-third of an inning.

After Ryan Feltner allowed the first three Marlins to reach in the ninth, Lawrence would be called upon to protect a 5-1 lead with runners on second and third. The right-hander ultimately recorded just one out, allowing Miami to tie the game 5-5 in his first blown save this season. Lawrence had allowed just one unearned run in his previous five outings, earning saves in his previous two appearances. His ERA is now up to an ugly 7.20 with a 1.80 WHIP and 10:5 K:BB through 10 innings this season. Despite his struggles, Lawrence is still likely the top ninth-inning option in Colorado, though he's unlikely to see a high volume of save chances on a Rockies team that's now 7-22 on the year.

X-rays on Wilson's right knee came back negative Tuesday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Wilson made an early exit from his relief appearance in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Padres after taking a line drive off the inside of his right knee, but he appears to have escaped the incident without suffering any major damage. He likely won't pitch for a few days as he deals with lingering soreness, but a trip to the injured list doesn't seem necessary.

McArthur picked up the save in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jays, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

McArthur improved to 7-for-8 in save chances this season while extending his scoreless-inning streak to 10.2. The 27-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 2.63 with a 1.17 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB across 12 appearances (13.2 innings) this year.

Miller picked up the save Tuesday against Oakland, striking out three during a perfect ninth inning.

Miller capped off April with yet another dominant display, punching out all three batters he faced. He appeared in 11 games during the month, allowing four hits and three walks with 30 strikeouts over 12.1 scoreless innings. He's also converted all eight of his save chances in 2024, giving him the sixth-most saves in MLB.

Sanchez did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing five runs on seven hits over four innings against the Rockies. He struck out three.

The Rockies jumped on Sanchez quickly Tuesday, scoring five times in the opening inning, with three coming on an Elehuris Montero home run. However, Sanchez would settle in and hold the Rockies scoreless over his subsequent three innings as the Marlins' opener, allowing just one additional hit. It's been a shaky start to the season overall for the 25-year-old right-hander -- Sanchez's ERA is up to 8.36 with a 1.71 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB across 11 innings.

Wilson was removed from Tuesday's game against the Padres with an apparent knee injury, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Wilson took a line drive off the inside of his right knee during the eighth inning of Tuesday's contest and was immediately removed from the game. The severity of his injury remains unclear, but the Reds should provide an update once more is known.

Hader (1-2) earned the win Tuesday, allowing one unearned run on one hit and one walk with four strikeouts over two innings against the Guardians.

Hader surrendered a double to David Fry in the 10th inning that plated designated runner Josh Naylor as the go-ahead run. Still, Hader ended up with his first victory of the campaign following a Victor Caratini walk-off homer in the home half of the frame. After a bounce-back 2023 season, Hader looks to have regressed to his poor 2022 form (5.22 ERA across 56 appearances), producing a 6.39 ERA across the first 12.2 innings of his Astros tenure.
