Travis Lakins RP | BAL
Orioles' Travis Lakins: Heads back to minors
Lakins was returned to Triple-A Norfolk following Sunday's doubleheader against the Royals, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Lakins served as the 27th man during Sunday's twin bill, but he didn't appear in either game. The right-hander has posted a 9.72 ERA and 1.92 WHIP in 8.1 innings over five relief appearances in the majors this year, and he'll attempt to sort things out in Norfolk.

Glenn Otto RP | HOU
Rangers' Glenn Otto: Continues to limit damage
Otto registered a no-decision during Sunday's 4-2 victory over the Yankees in Game 2 of a doubleheader, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks with two strikeouts in five innings.
Otto put runners on base in each of the first three innings, with the damage limited to a Giancarlo Stanton two-run shot in the third, but he was able to settle down to retire the final seven Yankees he faced. The 26-year-old has increased his pitch count in each of his three turns and owns an impressive 3.14 ERA and 0.98 WHIP through 14.1 innings -- drastic improvements from last season's 9.26 and 1.71 marks in 23.1 innings. He'll take the hill again next weekend against Boston.

Dakota Hudson SP | LAA
Cardinals' Dakota Hudson: Struggles in short outing
Hudson allowed three runs on five hits and four walks over 4.2 innings in Sunday's loss to the Giants. He did not factor in the decision.
All three runs that scored against Hudson came during the second inning, with most of the damage coming via LaMonte Wade's two-run homer. He failed to complete at least six innings for the first time since April 17 and saw his ERA climb to 3.56 with a lackluster 18:15 K:BB. Hudson is lined up for a rematch with the Giants at home next week.

Clay Holmes SP | CHC
Yankees' Clay Holmes: Picks up third win
Holmes (3-0) allowed a hit and no walks while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win over the Rangers in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader.
Holmes has been one of the most productive relievers in baseball early in the season, and the Yankees haven't hesitated to use him in high-leverage situations. Following Sunday's outing, he's recorded three wins, two saves and six holds with a 0.64 ERA and 0.86 WHIP in 14 innings over his first 14 relief appearances in 2022. Although Aroldis Chapman is the Yankees' clear closer, Holmes has been effective while being used in a variety of high-leverage scenarios.

Zach Logue RP | LAD
Athletics' Zach Logue: Gets second start
Logue is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Tigers in Detroit, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
With Cole Irvin (shoulder) still residing on the injured list, Logue will make his second straight turn through the rotation. The 26-year-old lefty was solid if unspectacular in a losing effort in his first MLB start against the Twins on Friday, striking out five over five innings while giving up two runs -- both on solo home runs -- and permitting five hits and two walks.
-
Emilio Pagan RP | CIN
Twins' Emilio Pagan: Collects fourth save
Pagan allowed a hit and one walk in a scoreless inning in Sunday's win over Oakland. He struck out one and earned the save.
Pagan has now earned a save in each of his last two appearances despite allowing a combined five runners on base. He allowed a one-out single to put two Athletics on base before forcing a pair of flyouts to finish off Sunday's 4-3 win. He's now converted four out of five save chances on the year while posting a 2.08 ERA.

Josh Winder RP | ARI
Twins' Josh Winder: Another start awaits
Winder is lined up to start Thursday's game against the Astros, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Dylan Bundy's (illness) recent move to the COVID-19-related injured list along with Bailey Ober's (groin) ongoing absence will allow Winder to make a third consecutive turn through the rotation, even though he certainly earned it from a performance standpoint. Between his first two starts against the Rays and Athletics, Winder went 2-0 while racking up 15 strikeouts against one walk over 12 scoreless innings. Even against an 18-11 Astros squad, Winder still looks like a quality streaming option in leagues in which he's available.
-
Bennett Sousa RP | HOU
White Sox's Bennett Sousa: Secures first MLB save
Sousa retired the lone batter he faced via a fly ball to record the save in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Red Sox.
Closer Liam Hendriks was unavailable Sunday after pitching the past two days, and Jose Ruiz was called upon for the save in his place. Ruiz allowed a leadoff double before retiring the next two batters, and Sousa then entered to face pinch-hitter Kevin Plawecki, who was retired on four pitches. Sousa is receiving his first taste of the majors this year and has a 4.82 ERA through 12 outings, and he shouldn't be expected to see high-leverage opportunities with much frequency.

Paul Richan RP | CHC
Tigers' Paul Richan: Rehabbing at Single-A
Richan (undisclosed) began a rehab assignment at Single-A Lakeland on May 1 and has struck out four over three scoreless innings between his two appearances.
Richan opened the season on Double-A Erie's 7-day injured list and is eventually expected to settle into the affiliate's rotation once he's fully built up for a starting role during his rehab assignment at Lakeland.

Kirby Yates RP | PIT
Braves' Kirby Yates: Completes bullpen session
Yates (elbow) tossed a 25-pitch bullpen session Friday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The session consisted of only fastballs, and Toscano notes that Yates isn't expected to incorporate breaking pitches in his throwing workouts for at least another week. In any case, Yates' ability to get back on the mound represents a step forward for the right-hander, who is attempting to return from March 2021 Tommy John surgery, the second such procedure of his career. Atlanta is still targeting early August for Yates' return from the 60-day injured list.
