Alvarado was removed from Tuesday's game against the Cubs with mid-back spasms, Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic reports.

Alvarado gave up one earned run on two hits and a walk in one-third of an inning before his back forced him to come out of the game. It's unknown if he will have to spend time on the IL, though the Phillies could sit him down for a few days as a precaution, regardless of the severity of his injury.

De Jesus allowed seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks across 1.1 innings of relief in Tuesday's 12-4 loss to the Brewers.

De Jesus came on after 5.2 innings from starter Keider Montero and with Detroit trailing 3-1. The lefty reliever quickly let things unravel as he saw his ERA nearly double from 5.40 to an unsightly 10.13, and it would have been worse if not for the unearned runs. De Jesus has nine strikeouts across eight innings this year, which is encouraging, but he's otherwise been ineffective, and he doesn't currently have a ton of fantasy value in his role out of the Tigers' bullpen.

Baumler (ribs) began throwing live batting practice Monday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Baumler has been on the injured list since April 5 due to a right intercostal strain, but he appears to be nearing the final stretch of his recovery. The Rangers haven't announced a firm timeline for his return, but they have confirmed he will require a few rehab outings in the minors before returning from the IL.

Bradford (elbow) hasn't thrown for two weeks due to tightness in his elbow, but the Rangers believe he will soon resume a throwing program, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

Bradford underwent an internal brace procedure on his left elbow last June and made a rehab start earlier this month. However, the left-hander experienced a setback with the elbow, and Texas shut him down for at least a couple weeks. Bradford is on the 60-day injured list and won't return anytime before late May.

Harvey (triceps) will restart his throwing program Friday, Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reports.

Harvey has been on the 15-day injured list since April 12 due to triceps inflammation, but he hadn't pitched for a week prior to the transaction. With the right-hander restarting his throwing program Friday, it probably pushes his return past the end of April.

Manager Skip Schumaker said Tuesday that Garcia was diagnosed with left shoulder inflammation and is considered day-to-day, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The 29-year-old hasn't seen game action since April 16 and underwent an MRI over the weekend. Garcia was scheduled to receive an anti-inflammatory injection Monday, and it appears the Rangers won't be placing him on the injured list, at least for the time being.

Maton (knee) threw a live batting practice session Tuesday and is mulling how to proceed, Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reports.

Maton was placed on the 15-day injured list April 10 with right knee tendinitis. It appears the reliever has made progress, but a return timetable is still up in the air at this point.

Manager Craig Counsell said Tuesday that Palencia underwent an MRI that revealed a lat strain, Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reports.

Palencia initially landed on the injured list Friday with a left oblique strain, but imaging has since confirmed that he's dealing with a lat issue. Counsell noted that the 26-year-old reliever is responding very well to treatment and could begin throwing by the time the Cubs begin their weekend series in Los Angeles. If his rehab continues to progress smoothly, he may be cleared to return to Chicago's bullpen in about two weeks.

Hoppe was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.

Hoppe has appeared in eight games for Triple-A Tacoma in 2026 and has not surrendered a run on four hits with a 12:3 K:BB across eight innings. The 27-year-old will look to build off his early season minor-league success when he makes his MLB debut out of the bullpen. In a corresponding move, the Mariners designated Casey Legumina for assignment.

An MRI on Iglesias's right shoulder Tuesday confirmed that he is not dealing with structural damage, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Iglesias first experienced right shoulder discomfort over the weekend and on Tuesday was placed on the 15-day injured list. The good news is he's merely dealing with inflammation, which could give him a chance to return when eligible in early May or shortly thereafter. Robert Suarez will handle the closer role for Atlanta while Iglesias is sidelined.
