Brewers' Trevor Megill: Pockets win in return

Megill (6-3) picked up the win in Sunday's contest against Cincinnati, pitching a clean inning with two strikeouts.

The Milwaukee right-hander was activated from the injured list prior to this game after being out since Aug. 27 due to a right elbow issue. Megill saw action in the fourth inning, retiring all three batters he faced succinctly on 12 pitches. Abner Uribe, who filled in as closer while Megill he was out, tallied the save later in the contest, as it remains to be seen how the Brewers will leverage their stalwart relievers throughout the playoffs. Megill wraps his regular season with a 2.49 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 60:17 K:BB across 47 total frames while converting 30 of 36 save chances and appearing in his first All-Star game.

  • Ian Seymour RP | TB

Rays' Ian Seymour: Falls to Toronto

Seymour (4-3) took the loss Sunday against the Blue Jays, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out seven.

Toronto got to Seymour out of the gate Sunday, scoring five times in the first inning, punctuated by an Alejandro Kirk grand slam. The 26-year-old Seymour had been pitching well coming into the day, posting a 2.08 ERA in his previous six appearances (30.1 innings). While it wasn't the ideal finish, it was an encouraging rookie campaign overall for the left-hander. Seymour posted a 3.63 ERA with a 1.18 WHIP and 64:19 K:BB across 57 innings.

  • Abner Uribe RP | MIL

Brewers' Abner Uribe: Collects seventh save

Uribe pitched a clean inning with no strikeouts to pick up the save in Sunday's 4-2 victory over the Reds.

The Milwaukee flamethrower required only eight pitches, five of which were strikes, to secure his team's 97th win. Even with Trevor Megill (elbow) being activated earlier in the day, Uribe was called upon for this save because Megill handled the fourth inning and picked up the win. Uribe closes out his regular season with a 1.67 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 90:27 K:BB across 75.1 total innings.

  • Giants' Spencer Bivens: Earns two-inning save

Bivens will finish the year with three saves, two of which came in the final two games. The 31-year-old right-hander pitched 81 innings for the Giants this season, working to a 4.00 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP and 61:25 K:BB.

  • Kyle Hart RP | SD

Padres' Kyle Hart: Heads back to minors

The Padres optioned Hart to the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Sunday.

Hart will cede his spot on the 28-man active roster to lefty JP Sears, who was recalled from El Paso to start Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Diamondbacks. Over 20 appearances (six starts) for the Padres on the season, Hart went 3-3 with a 5.86 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 37:13 K:BB in 43 innings.

  • Brewers' Carlos Rodriguez: Sent back down

The Brewers optioned Rodriguez to the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Sunday.

Milwaukee needed to open up a pair of roster spots for Trevor Megill (elbow) and DL Hall (oblique) to return from the injured list, and Rodriguez found himself on the wrong side of the cut line. The 23-year-old will look to stay fresh at the Brewers' spring training complex now that the minor-league season is complete. Rodriguez appeared in four games with Milwaukee in 2025, posting a 6.52 ERA and an 11:9 K:BB over 9.2 innings.

  • Ian Seymour RP | TB

Rays' Ian Seymour: Drawing start in season finale

Seymour is slated to start Sunday's game in Toronto.

In his most recent appearance Tuesday, Seymour ended up piggybacking starter Ryan Pepiot and covered four innings while allowing three earned runs on four hits and two walks. Seymour will return to a traditional starting role for the season finale and will look to finish the campaign on a high note as he makes a case for a spot in the 2026 rotation. Since being called up from Triple-A Durham on July 31, Seymour has logged a 3.14 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 48:14 K:BB in 43 innings over 11 outings.

  • DL Hall RP | MIL

Brewers' DL Hall: Returns from IL

The Brewers activated Hall (oblique) from the 15-day injured list Sunday.

Hall will rejoin the 28-man active roster ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Reds. Before landing on the IL on Aug. 16 due to a strained right oblique. Hall posted a 3.35 ERA in 37.2 innings with Milwaukee.
