  • Tanner Scott RP | LAD

Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Notches fifth save

Scott earned a save against the Rockies on Monday, allowing two hits and striking out one batter over one scoreless inning.

It wasn't the easiest save for Scott, as he allowed two of the first three batters he faced to reach base while trying to protect a two-run ninth-inning lead. However, the left-hander recovered to retire the final two batters of the frame, resulting in his fifth save. Scott has emerged as the Dodgers' top option for ninth-inning work, as he's converted five of six save opportunities so far while posting a 3.00 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 7:0 K:BB over nine innings.

  • Cubs' Eli Morgan: Nursing elbow issue

Morgan left Monday's game against the Padres due to a right elbow injury, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Morgan didn't look himself during Monday's appearance, surrendering four runs on three hits and one walk before walking off with the trainer. He's likely headed for further evaluation to determine whether a trip to the injured list is necessary.

  • Matt Brash RP | SEA

Mariners' Matt Brash: Sharp in first rehab appearance

Brash (elbow) began a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Brash threw 19 pitches during the outing, allowing one hit while striking out one in one inning of work. It marked the start of Brash's final steps before rejoining the Mariners' bullpen, which he should be able to do in late April or early May following several appearances in the minors. After missing all of last year due to Tommy John surgery, the hard-throwing right-hander figures to be eased back into action as a middle reliever before eventually becoming a setup man for closer Andres Munoz at some point.

  • Devin Williams RP | NYM

Yankees' Devin Williams: Secures second save

Williams allowed a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning while earning a save against the Royals on Monday.

Williams entered the ninth inning with a 4-1 lead and had to work out of a jam to close things out. He put two runners on base with one out but escaped unscathed with his first save since March 27. Through six appearances as a Yankee, Williams has yet to deliver a perfect inning out of the bullpen. He owns an uncharacteristic 7.20 ERA with a 7:6 K:BB through five innings.

  • Brad Lord P | WAS

Nationals' Brad Lord: Concedes four runs in loss

Lord (0-1) took the loss Monday at Pittsburgh, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out one.

The 25-year-old rookie struggled in his second career start. Lord was chased early after 57 pitches -- only 28 of which were strikes -- that generated a paltry three whiffs. The right-hander, who now sports a 4.82 ERA and 5:7 K:BB across 9.1 innings, is filling a rotation spot while Michael Soroka (biceps) is on the injured list. Lord is currently slated to make his next start against the Rockies in Colorado this weekend.

  • Angel Perdomo RP | LAA

Athletics' Angel Perdomo: Outrighted to Triple-A

Perdomo was outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.

Perdomo was designated for assignment by the A's on Saturday and he cleared waivers. The left-hander has appeared in four games with the Athletics this season, surrendering two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out two batters over 3.1 innings.

  • Shawn Dubin RP | ARI

Astros' Shawn Dubin: Slated to begin rehab assignment

Dubin (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land this weekend, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Dubin threw a successful live batting practice session Monday, clearing the way for him to pitch in rehab games. The reliever missed the entirety of spring training with his shoulder issue, so he'll likely need at least a handful of rehab appearances before being activated from the 15-day injured list.

  • Kaleb Ort RP | LAA

    Astros' Kaleb Ort: Nearing return

Ort (oblique) will make rehab appearances with Triple-A Sugar Land on back-to-back days Tuesday and Wednesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Making appearances in consecutive days is often the final hurdle a reliever needs to clear before being activated, so Ort could be back as soon as Friday. He's been shelved with a left oblique strain early in spring training.

  • Liam Hendriks RP | MIN

Red Sox's Liam Hendriks: Will have one more rehab outing

Red Sox manager Alex Cora told reporters Monday that Hendriks (elbow) will pitch one more time for Triple-A Worcester before being activated from the 15-day injured list, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

After beginning the season on the IL due to right elbow inflammation, Hendriks progressed enough in his recovery to embark on a rehab assignment Thursday. He's pitched well in his two outings with the WooSox, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four across two scoreless innings. Following his next rehab outing and barring any setbacks, Hendriks could join the Red Sox's bullpen as soon as this weekend's home series against the White Sox.

  • Craig Kimbrel RP | NYM

Braves' Craig Kimbrel: Joins Double-A roster

Kimbrel has been assigned to the Double-A Columbus roster, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Signed to a minor-league contract in mid-March, Kimbrel had been getting ramped up at Atlanta's spring training complex in Florida and is now ready to appear in games. The veteran reliever should eventually move up to Triple-A Gwinnett and, if all goes well, the plan is for him to join the big-league roster sometime in May.
