Rodon (6-2) earned the win Friday over the Padres, pitching six shutout innings while allowing three hits and three walks with two strikeouts.

Rodon wasn't dominant, but the Padres' offense didn't find much success. This was a fourth straight quality start for the southpaw, who has won all of those outings while allowing just five runs over 24.1 innings. Rodon has had just one bad start this season -- May 2 in Baltimore, when he got tagged for six earned runs over four innings. He has a 2.95 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 57:19 K:BB over 61 innings through 11 starts on the season. The 31-year-old is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Angels in a favorable matchup.

Ober (5-2) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks over five innings Friday, striking out five and earning a win over Texas.

Ober coughed up a two-run shot to Corey Seager in the first inning but settled in for a solid outing after that. Despite striking out just five batters, Ober forced a season-high 16 whiffs, including seven with his changeup. He's generated at least 12 swinging strikes in six of his last seven starts. He owns a 4.33 ERA through 10 starts and a 3.02 ERA over his last nine. Ober's next outing is expected to come at home against the Royals.

Urquidy exited his rehab start at Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday due to right forearm discomfort, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Urquidy has been sidelined since spring training due to a strained right forearm, and he seems to have aggravated the issue during his outing Friday. The right-hander was expected to return to the Astros' rotation after Friday's start, but it's unclear how his latest flareup may impact his return timeline.

Flexen yielded four runs on five hits and two walks over 4.2 innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out two as the White Sox fell to the Orioles.

Flexen gave up just one run through four innings before the Orioles tagged him for three runs in the fifth. After posting a 1.61 ERA over a 22.1-inning span, he's been hit with 14 runs over his last three outings, driving his ERA from 4.29 up to 5.69. Flexen has allowed at least four runs on four occasions this season. His next outing is lined up to come at home against Toronto.

Burnes allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out six during the Orioles' win over the White Sox.

Burnes fired four shutout frames before the White Sox finally broke through with a three-run fifth inning. He forced 14 whiffs and has produced double-digit swinging strikes in eight of his 11 starts this season. The 29-year-old righty has allowed three or fewer earned runs in each of those 11 outings, resulting in an impressive 2.60 ERA through 65.2 innings. Burnes will take a 66:17 K:BB into his next outing, which is lined up to come at home against Boston.

Maeda (2-1) earned the win Friday over the Blue Jays, allowing four hits over five scoreless innings. He struck out one.

It was a strong effort from Maeda, who last pitched May 7 before going on the IL with an illness -- he was tagged for seven runs in just two innings in that start. The 36-year-old Maeda lowered his ERA to 5.80 with a 1.32 WHIP and 24:10 K:BB over eight starts (35.2 innings) this season. He's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Red Sox in his next outing.

Kirby (4-5) took the loss Friday against the Nationals, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out three.

Kirby was hurt by the home-run ball Friday, with all five runs coming on a pair of long balls. The 26-year-old Kirby's hit a rough patch recently, allowing four or more runs in three of his last four outings. His ERA is up to 4.33 despite a solid 1.03 WHIP and 57:6 K:BB over 11 starts (62.1 innings). Kirby will look to get back on track in his next outing, currently lined up for next week at home against the Astros.

Urquidy (forearm) was removed from his rehab start at Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday with an apparent injury, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Urquidy was only able to lob a warm-up pitch after receiving a visit from a trainer, causing him to be taken out of the game after 56 pitches. He appeared to be flexing his hand as he walked toward the dugout, though the Astros should offer more information on what is bothering him in the near future.

Cole (elbow) will throw a live batting practice session Saturday, Chris Kirschner of The Athleticreports.

It will be the second time Cole has faced live hitters, with his first session taking place Tuesday when he threw about 20 pitches. While Cole is eligible to return from the 60-day IL at the end of May, he'll need multiple rehab starts before joining the Yankees' rotation.

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Friday that Means will get a second opinion on his throwing elbow, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Means threw just three innings in his start Wednesday against the Cardinals, and he did not return to the mound following a rain delay. He landed on the 15-day injured list Thursday due to a left forearm strain, which was the same injury that caused him to start the season on the IL. Seeing that Means is getting a second opinion on the injury, the 31-year-old southpaw could be on the IL beyond the 15-day minimum.
