Wacha (shoulder) will throw a simulated game Monday, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Wacha will face hitters for the first time since right shoulder inflammation shut him down earlier this month. The Red Sox will have a better indication of the next steps for the right-hander following Monday's session. A rehab assignment is expected before he's activated from the 15-day injured list.

Hill (knee) felt good Saturday after throwing a three-inning simulated game Friday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Hill will throw a bullpen session Sunday, then the Red Sox will decide on next steps for the left-hander. He and Michael Wacha (shoulder), who will throw a simulated game Monday, are on the injured list, which has contributed to the disarray in Boston's faltering rotation.

Gilbert (10-4) took the loss to the Astros on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out eight and walking one over six innings.

Gilbert was efficient Saturday, throwing 63 of 89 pitches for strikes across six frames. The eight strikeouts were a season high for the young righty. Gilbert did not allow a home run in the contest, but the Astros were able to knock in two runs against him, both on doubles. Despite picking up a loss, Gilbert earned a quality start, his ninth of the year. He will take a 2.77 ERA into his next appearance.

Verlander (13-3) earned the win against Seattle on Saturday, allowing one run on four hits while striking out nine and walking two over seven innings.

Verlander continued his dominant 2022 campaign, allowing just one run to cross the plate while throwing 67 of 101 pitches for strikes and striking out nine batters. The lone run against Verlander came on a Carlos Santana solo shot in the seventh inning. The veteran picked up his fifth win in a row and lowered his ERA for the sixth consecutive game. Saturday's contest was also Verlander's fifth quality start in a row and his 14th in 18 games this season. He will take a 1.86 ERA into his next appearance.

Crawford (2-3) took the loss against Toronto on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits while striking out four and walking one over six innings.

Crawford threw 52 of 77 pitches for strikes in Saturday's contest. He pitched well enough to win but lacked run support from his offense. The righty did pick up a quality start, his second in a row. Crawford has pitched well in July after assuming a starting role. He has a 24:4 K:BB and a 2.82 ERA this month despite facing the Rays twice and the Yankees and Blue Jays once apiece. He will take a 4.50 ERA into his next appearance.

Manoah (11-4) earned the win against Boston on Saturday, allowing one run on seven hits while striking out seven and walking none over six innings.

Despite allowing seven hits in Saturday's contest, Manoah limited the damage to just one earned run on a Bobby Dalbec solo shot in the second inning. Manoah threw 68 of 97 pitches for strikes across six frames, helping the righty pick up his third quality start in a row. In fact, just three of his 19 starts this year have not resulted in a quality start. Manoah has also been excellent at limiting walks, with none allowed in his last two games. He will take a 2.24 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP into his next appearance.

Kaprielian didn't factor into the decision during Saturday's 3-1 victory over Texas, allowing two hits and two walks with four strikeouts in five scoreless innings.

Kaprielian successfully navigated a two-on, one-out jam in the first and breezed through four more frames to post his first scoreless start in 15 tries. The 28-year-old induced an impressive 14 swinging strikes on 90 pitches and has held the opposition to three runs or fewer in each of his last six starts. During the successful stretch, Kaprielian has pitched to a 2.76 ERA across 32.2 innings with Oakland winning four of the games in that span. He currently lines up to face the White Sox on the road next weekend.

Lynn allowed three hits and a walk while striking out six in six scoreless innings in a no-decision in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Guardians.

Lynn was excellent in his second quality start of the year, but the White Sox's bullpen melted down in the seventh inning to cost him the win. Despite the positive start to the second half, he still owns a 6.43 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 41:10 K:BB through 42 innings in eight outings. The veteran right-hander is projected for a favorable home start versus the Athletics next week.

Sandoval (3-6) took the loss during Saturday's 7-2 defeat to Atlanta, allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts in three innings.

Sandoval surrendered two runs on three hits in the first inning and another three runs on five baserunners in the third, tying his shortest outing of the campaign and posting a season worst 25 game score. The 25-year-old has now gone winless in his last nine starts -- his last victory came on May 22 -- with Los Angeles losing eight of the contests. Sandoval carries a 3.43 ERA and 1.50 WHIP into his next start, scheduled for next weekend against Texas.

Singer allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out 12 over six-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Rays on Saturday.

Singer carried a no-hitter through five innings, but the Rays were able to cobble together a run against him in the sixth. He started giving up harder contact in the seventh, and Taylor Clarke couldn't protect a lead, leaving Singer with his third no-decision in his last four starts. The right-hander has been solid in that span, allowing eight runs (seven earned) in 23.2 innings while racking up a 32:10 K:BB, and he's notched three consecutive quality starts. He owns a 3.82 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 81:20 K:BB across 77.2 innings in 15 appearances (12 starts) this year, and he's projected for a tough road start versus the Yankees next week.
