McCullers allowed three earned runs on six hits and four walks while striking out eight across six innings Thursday against the Yankees. He did not factor into the decision.

McCullers fought his command early, as he issued three free passes in the first inning. He racked up punchouts from there on, generating 20 called strikes and 14 swinging strikes on 105 total pitches. Though he surrendered a pair of home runs, he's still allowing only 0.8 HR/9 for the season. Overall, McCullers has a 3.58 ERA with a 38:18 K:BB across 32.2 frames. He currently projects to draw his next start Tuesday against the Angels.

Eovaldi allowed six runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out five over 4.1 innings in a victory over Detroit on Thursday. He didn't factor into the decision.

Facing the Tigers for the first time since 2015, Eovaldi just couldn't find a way to silence their bats. The 31-year-old gave up a season-worst six runs during his shortest start of the year. It was the first time this year Eovaldi was unable to pitch at least five innings. Luckily, his teammates made up for it offensively, racking up 12 runs en route to the win. The right-hander will bring a 4.62 ERA and 1.23 WHIP into his next projected start Tuesday against Oakland.

Turnbull surrendered four runs (two earned) on seven hits and no walks while striking out three across three innings during Thursday's loss to the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

While Turnbull managed to avoid any extensive damage, he did allow a run in each of his innings during what turned out to be his shortest outing of the season. The 28-year-old didn't issue any walks for the second time this year, but the positive takeaways end there. After missing the first three weeks, Turnbull has compiled a 4.74 ERA and 1.26 WHIP across four starts.

Lyles did not factor into the decision during Thursday's win against the Twins after allowing three runs on seven hits and a pair of walks while striking out seven across five innings.

The Twins got to Lyles right away with a leadoff home run by Max Kepler in the first inning. Luckily, the right-hander pulled it together from there, only allowing another pair of runs to sneak in due to an RBI single off the bat of Willians Astudillo in the third. It wasn't the cleanest outing, but Lyles limited the damage enough to position Texas for an extra-inning win. The 30-year-old has surrendered nine homers while claiming only one victory this season, which came in his first start back on April 4. He'll look to improve upon a 7.09 ERA and 1.64 WHIP when he lines up to battle the Giants in San Francisco on Tuesday.

Mize didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 6-5 win over Boston in 10 innings after limiting the Red Sox to one run on three hits and four walks over six frames. He struck out three in the 95-pitch outing.

With only eight swinging strikes on the night, Mize didn't overpower Boston, but limiting one of MLB's most potent offenses to three base hits has to count as a win for the 24-year-old. The free passes remain a concern, however; Mize has now issued at least three walks in each of his last three starts.

Ryu (hip) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Thursday's start against the Athletics, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Ryu spent the minimum of 10 days on the injured list with a glute strain, and he'll be on the mound for Thursday's series finale in Oakland. The left-hander recorded a 2.60 ERA and 1.05 WHIP in 27.2 innings across five starts to begin the season. Right-hander David Phelps (lat) was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Odorizzi (forearm) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session Wednesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Odorizzi hit the injured list in late April but was never shut down for an extended period. He's still being treated cautiously, however, as he's expected to throw another bullpen session before heading out on a rehab assignment, where he could wind up making more than one start. That could potentially push his return date to late May.

Whitlock (0-1) picked up the loss in the 10th inning of Wednesday's game against the Tigers. He allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits over one inning.

Whitlock, who breezed through his first 13.1 innings, has hit a bump this week. On Sunday, Isiah Kiner-Falefa touched him for a home run -- the first run he allowed all season -- and then Jeimer Candelario took him deep for a three-run dinger in Wednesday's extra frame. The Rule 5 pick still has a 1.76 ERA and 0.85 WHIP over 15.1 innings.

Perez allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out six in a no-decision against the Tigers on Wednesday.

Perez pitched well on a cold, damp night in Boston before tiring in the sixth inning, when he allowed three hits and was removed following JaCoby Jones' two-run single. He's yet to pitch six innings in any of his six starts, but this was the second consecutive outing in which he was one out shy. The left-hander will bring a 4.40 ERA into his next scheduled start Monday in Baltimore.

Bassitt completed seven innings against Toronto on Wednesday, allowing two runs on six hits and no walks while striking out seven. He did not factor in the decision.

The right-hander looked to be in line for a win when he departed after the seventh inning with Oakland up by a run. However, the bullpen couldn't fend off Toronto's bats, as the Blue Jays put up five runs in the eighth to keep Bassitt out of the win column. Still, it was another strong outing for the veteran hurler, who has now notched four straight quality starts, during which he has racked up a 32:4 K:BB across 25 innings. He'll carry a 3.70 overall ERA into his next start, which is currently lined up to come in Boston at the beginning of next week.
