Flexen improved to 2-1 on the season Saturday against the Red Sox, striking out seven in seven innings while allowing just one run on four hits and a walk.

Flexen held the hosts scoreless for 6.2 innings before allowing an RBI single to Marwin Gonzalez. The 26-year-old's time in Korea last year appears to have served him very well, as his 2.74 ERA and 21:5 K:BB through his first four starts this season look nothing like his 8.07 ERA and 49:54 K:BB from his first three partial seasons with the Mets.

Boyd (2-2) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits across eight innings but took the loss Saturday against the Royals. He struck out three and did not issue any walks.

Boyd got virtually no support in this one, as the Detroit bats mustered only three hits and one run. Still, the lefty was able to continue his strong start to the season. Through five starts, Boyd has a sparkling 1.82 ERA, though he's managed just 22 strikeouts across 34.2 innings. He had a K/9 of 9.0 or better in each of the last two seasons, so perhaps the whiffs will start to come. Boyd will look to keep things rolling in his next scheduled outing Thursday against the White Sox.

Odorizzi exited his Saturday start against the Angels due to right forearm tightness, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Odorizzi faced just one batter in Saturday's contest prior to his removal. It's not yet clear whether the injury will force the right-hander to miss any additional time, but Kent Emanuel replaced him in Saturday's game and could step in as a starter if Odorizzi is unable to make his next start.

Odorizzi left his Saturday start against the Angels with an apparent arm injury, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Odorizzi faced just a single batter before exiting the game. The exact nature of his injury remains unclear, but it's certainly not a good sign for a pitcher who was limited by multiple injuries to just 13.2 innings last season. Kent Emanuel replaced him out of the bullpen Saturday and could be in line to take his spot in the rotation should he require an extended absence.

Lynn (back) will throw several bullpens next week and hopes to return to game action Friday against Cleveland, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Lynn has been on the 10-day injured list with a strained right trapezius since April 18, and he reportedly could have been available to return after spending the minimum amount of time on the IL. However, the White Sox have had postponements and scheduled days off recently, so Lynn will have additional time to fully heal before he returns to game action.

Farrell was optioned to the Twins' alternate training site Saturday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Farrell's contract was selected by the Twins on Tuesday, and he allowed no hits and two walks while striking out one in one scoreless inning during his lone relief appearance. He'll now head back to the team's alternate camp after Caleb Thielbar was activated from the COVID-19 injured list.

Allard allowed one run on four hits and struck out two over 2.1 innings in Friday's 9-7 loss to the White Sox.

Allard entered for starter Dane Dunning, who was chased by his former team after allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks over 2.2 innings. The Rangers want to manage Dunning's innings and have paired him with a long reliever in a tandem situation, and this was the first time Allard pitched with him. Typically, the starter lasts longer than 2.2 innings. Taylor Hearn had been paired with Dunning while Wes Benjamin also filled a similar role with Jordan Lyles, but Allard has been the best of the lot early on and should operate as a multi-inning reliever for whichever starter needs assistance. The left-hander sports a 2.45 ERA and 0.82 WHIP with 11 strikeouts and zero walks over 7.1 innings.

Whitlock allowed two hits and walked one while striking out three over 2.1 scoreless innings in Friday's 6-5 win over the Mariners.

Whitlock retired the first two batters faced, extending his streak to 25 consecutive retired hitters before giving up a single to Sam Haggerty. He pitched a perfect seventh before leaving with two men on and one out in the eighth, when Adam Ottavino prevented any damage with a pair of strikeouts. It was Whitlock's second hold. The outing extended the rookie's scoreless innings streak to 11.1 to open the season, while the base on balls was the first he's permitted. Whitlock's not in the mix for saves, but the minor-league starter could usurp starts if Garrett Richards (6.48 ERA) continues to pitch like he has.

Lynn (trapezius strain) could return off the injured list next week against Detroit or Cleveland, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Lynn is expected to miss the minimum amount of time on the 10-day IL, which puts him on track for Tuesday against the Tigers. However, postponements (Wednesday) and off-days (Thursday and Monday) mean the White Sox do not need to rush Lynn back from the injury.

Glasnow (2-1) allowed five runs on five hits and two walks while striking out 10 in six innings to take the loss against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Glasnow struck out the first two batters he faced Friday, but he allowed the Blue Jays to put up four runs in a two-out rally in the first inning. While the Rays brought the game within one run in the bottom of the fifth inning, Glasnow gave up a solo home run in the top of the sixth and was ultimately charged with his first loss of 2021. The righty has posted a 2.05 ERA and 0.75 WHIP with 46 strikeouts in 30.2 innings across his first five starts of the season. He lines up to make his next start at home against the Athletics on Wednesday.
