Matz (4-0) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven in five innings to earn the win against the Rays on Friday.

Matz began Friday's game with four scoreless innings, but he gave up a three-run home run with no outs in the fifth frame. However, he still picked up his fourth win in as many starts since the Blue Jays put up four runs in the first inning. Matz now carries a 2.31 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in 23.1 innings to begin the season. His next start should come at home against the Nationals on Wednesday.

Dunning allowed five runs on eight hits and two walks over 2.2 innings in Friday's loss to the White Sox. He struck out two batters and did not factor in the decision.

Dunning fell apart in the third inning, giving up five runs and being lifted from the game before he could finish the frame. The 26-year-old was in line for the loss before the Rangers' offense came back to tie the game at 6-6 in the sixth on an Isiah Kiner-Falefa RBI single. Dunning had allowed just one run through 15 innings prior to Friday's poor outing. He'll look to get his momentum back at home against the Angels next Wednesday.

Irvin (2-2) allowed one run on eight hits and one walk while striking out six in 5.1 innings to earn the win against the Orioles on Friday.

Irvin had some trouble limiting traffic on the basepaths Friday, but he was able to minimize run production to earn his second consecutive win. The southpaw gave up four runs in each of his first two starts of the season, but he's now given up just one run while striking out six in 11.1 innings across his last two outings. Irvin will attempt to keep his momentum going on the road against Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

Cease yielded two runs on three htis and three walks over 3.1 innings in Friday's win over Texas. He struck out five and did not factor in the decision.

Cease needed 80 pitches just to get through 3.1 frames and clearly wasn't at his best. Still, the only damage against him came on a two-run shot by Nick Solak in the fourth. The 25-year-old now owns a 4.15 ERA and 20:12 K:BB across 17.1 innings. Cease is expected to face Detroit early next week at home.

Perez didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-5 win over the Mariners, giving up two runs on four hits and four walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

The Red Sox handed Perez an early lead but he couldn't stick around long enough to benefit from it, needing 83 pitches (46 strikes) to record only 11 outs. The southpaw will drag a 5.71 ERA and 15:9 K:BB through 17.1 innings into his next outing Thursday on the road against the Rangers.

Kikuchi (0-1) took the loss Friday as the Mariners fell 6-5 to the Red Sox, getting tagged for five runs on six hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out one.

The southpaw served up homers to Xander Bogaerts in the first inning and J.D. Martinez in the third, helping create a deficit that a ninth-inning rally by Seattle's offense couldn't erase. It was Kikuchi's shortest outing so far this season, and he'll take a 5.70 ERA and 20:9 K:BB through 23.2 innings into his next start Thursday in Houston.

Mize (1-2) allowed six runs on seven hits and three walks with one strikeout in 4.2 innings in a loss to the Royals on Friday.

Mize allowed solo shots to Andrew Benintendi in the second inning and Ryan O'Hearn in the fourth. In the fifth, Mize got into trouble and was lifted for reliever Tyler Alexander. It's been a bit of a rough start to 2021 for Mize who has a 5.23 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 14:7 K:BB across 20.2 innings. He's given up 11 runs in his last two starts. The right-hander is expected to face the White Sox on Wednesday in his next start.

Heaney allowed one run on two hits over 6.1 innings Friday, striking out 10 in a loss to Houston. He did not factor in the decision.

Heaney cruised through the Astros' lineup, allowing just one baserunner through six innings. He was removed after coughing up a one-out double to Yordan Alvarez in the seventh and was charged with a run after Aaron Slegers was taken deep by Yuli Gurriel. Since his brutal first start of the season, Heaney owns a 25:5 K:BB while allowing just three runs over 17.2 frames. The 29-year-old southpaw will take the mound in Seattle next Friday.

Greinke yielded two runs on 10 hits over seven innings Friday, striking out six batters in a win over the Angels. He did not factor in the decision.

Greinke finished the seventh inning and was in line for the loss before Yuli Gurriel knocked a game-tying blast in the bottom of the frame. The 37-year-old righty wasn't at his best Friday but forced three double plays to quickly silence the Angels' threats. Both runs he allowed came during the fifth inning on RBI hits by Shohei Ohtani and Jared Walsh. Greinke will carry a 2.76 ERA into next Wednesday's home matchup with Seattle.

Montgomery allowed three runs on four hits and three walks with five strikeouts over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus Cleveland on Friday.

All three runs against Montgomery came in the first inning, but the southpaw was able to settle in after that. He wasn't able to finish the fifth inning -- reliever Lucas Luetge did the honors and was credited with the win. Montgomery has a 4.57 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB across 21.2 innings this season. His next start is expected to be Wednesday in Baltimore.
